- Next on my mod list is an Active Autowerke 3.5" single midpipe. This replaces the secondary cats and resonator. I am still running stock downpipes and a stock muffler.

Sounds amazing! I was only going to do resonator delete at first but this video convinced me to get those secondary cats off as well. The pops are so much more aggressive it sounds like from the video.

thanks for putting this together. I was thinking of doing an akra rear with potentially aftermarket midpipe. now i am thinking that i will do AA single with comp rear.. what are the biggest differences between stock and this setup? Is this the AA resonated?
I have the nonres setup. The stock mid section has a dual design with 2 secondary cats and a resonator. This is a single design that replaces all of that.
I installed this midpipe because of your video. Sounds much better than the ER that sounds tinny. Are you running wider tires than stock?
Glad I could help! I have run various different wheel and tire combinations. Shown here are 21" BC Forged with 265/40 and 295/35 tires
@@BrockDM1 I’m planning on getting those exact sizes in the Michelin ps4S instead of the stock continentals.
Did you get the Mercedes spec tires because apparently these tires are front and rear specific. Apparently if I get the bmw star spec ( from Costco ) the rear tires are X5m fronts and the front are X3M rear tires.
Really I can’t decide on which one the AA or RGsport one….
How do you like this setup as a daily and longer trips? I’m about to pull the trigger but I make a lot of road trips so hesitant on if it’s to much for those longer trips.
With the valves closed on the highway it's nearly indistinguishable from stock. You won't have any problems
Is this just a non resonated midpipe with the stock muffler and stock primary cats? TIA

In your opinion, how does the car ride on less than perfect roads? Stock vs Kw? Looking into this as a daily vs s4, sq5, m340i, x3m40i
Phenomenal. The kw's are my favorite mod to this car. It drastically changed the handling, looks and comfort without sacrificing anything... besides your wallet lol.
I have to e exact same car and I wanna do a mid pipe that will cuase me to get rid of my resenator and catilitic convertor or wtv it is. But will it throw on a check engine light??
No this will not throw a CEL

so this setup removes the cats correct? if i added catless downpipes down the road would it be compatable with this?
Yes this removes the secondary cats and the resonator. It is compatible with all downpipes

21" BC forged rz01. 9.5 front 11 rear. Lowered on kw v3
