Random: The Cat Who Peels Eggs

- Random video of foster kitty Ashley helping me peel a hard boiled egg. I don't know why she does this. She is such a funny silly girl. Includes calculations for % rejected eggs bits, also known as EAR or Egg Acceptance Ratio.

omg! people who don't have cats have no idea how much laughter and fun they bring into your life 😂😂😂
Paul, you might as well adopt Ashley yourself because what would you do without her!
And who else would bother to calculate her egg acceptance ratio (EAR)?
Stealing this. I just updated the video information with (EAR).
First we bap, then we feast. But only if the offering meets our inscrutable standards. 🐾
Ashley thought it needed some more seasoning, like carpet lint. Mmmmmm hehe
She has come so far with you.
It’s wonderful to see her so happy and healthy. You are doing a fabulous job of being a foster dad. 😻💕🐈🐾
So nice to have a cat to assist 💕
I love a cat with a sense of humor.❤❤❤
What a sweet cat!
Hieronymus prefers egg yolk. Sadly eggs tend to result in unpleasant piles of - ah - rectal pudding outside of the cat box.
Admittedly the bar is low but I can honestly say I've never seen a cat contribute so much towards the peeling of an egg
Cats are the best and worst supervisors. Sometimes they just like to watch, and then sometimes they interfere in the most ridiculous ways.
Appears early in the peeling process Ashley ended up with some egg on her face! 😛
It is somewhat amusing what each cat might accept or reject, or even accept the first time then reject thereafter, especially after you buy a case of food that was scarfed down, then can't get anyone to eat it! One funky boy wouldn't eat the food (Tender Vittles?) if placed in front of him, but toss the bits - WEEEE! chase, pounce, snag it underfoot and then carefully raise the foot to be sure it didn't get away! That was the funniest part. Then finally he'd eat it! Sadly whatever that food was (not the greatest food, but great fun!) they discontinued it.
GO Ashley!
Oh my goodness. Only a fellow long suffering cat person could feel what you just wrote. I buy her food. She loves it. Screams for more. I buy the same one a few times- same response. Ok. It’s expensive, so i buy two a two dozen pack for a cheaper price. I give her some-she backs away as if I’m trying to poison her. And I’ve hot 11 cans of cat food to give away. Every single time,
Boy, she’s really come along. ❤
Give in to adootion. Thus bond cannot be broken now
We had one who loved eggs (to be fair he did come as a kitten from a free range egg farm where the cats were given any broken eggs). At our house he preferred them fried, with a couple of fried mushroom slices alongside and a slick of ketchup. Eventually my Dad just started always frying him his own egg along with theirs - but he usually had most of my Mum's too.
Wow
Seems Ashley is quite the cooking assistant! How cute! And yeah, I have a cat that seems very interested in boiled egg but only to sniff, he won't eat any of it.
Aw that’s her egg and she will mark it all again tomorrow 😂
Just like how sometimes my cats like to help me type. Usually by laying a chin atop my wrist, so their head bounces up and down.
Adorable! This is a great idea to get the real lives of these kitties out so anyone looking to adopt can see what they're like. I wish I could figure out how to get you more publicity besides sharing with friends... any ideas?
Well, you challenged her. She had no choice but to eat it because you weren't expecting it.
When are you filling out the adoption forms?
Of course she ate it because you said she doesnt anymore. Its their way. ❤
Ashley obviously adores you and is convinced she has found her forever purrrson. I worry that giving her to someone else now would break her little heart. Is she not good enough with other cats for you to adopt her yourself and still foster others? Fostering kittens would be wonderful - imagine all the videos! - and it would be easier to send them off to new homes afterwards, as that is what happens with kittens. Whereas Ashley has settled into a new home and life with you that to tear her from it would be verging on cruel.
She looks just like my kitty, Chloe! :-)
Have got to try this now 😂
That's so sweet
What? FIVE pedals on the piano? I've never seen more than 3 before. Can you enlighten us, Paul? And Ashley is doing so well in your care - she's going to be a wonderful kitty for someone (hint, hint).
The two extra pedals are for a harpsichord sound and mandolin sound. It's a really unique old piano that way.
Thanks for your response, Paul. I've learned something today so I can go to sleep happy this evening! 🎶
So, do we count this as a pass or a fail on the egg test? X'D
Egg tests are graded on a curve 😺🥚
I must ask about piano with "five" pedals? I'm only used to seeing up to three. What are they all?

@@RUclipsCatEngineer From what I could see in the video of the piano & bench, grew up same piano minus 2 pedals. Wish I could remember maker.
