- Introducing my latest foster kitty Wednesday. She came from a happy home but unfortunately her Mom has some serious health problems so kitty came into the foster program with Wichita Animal Action League and ended up with me. Poor kitty was nervous for quite a few days but finally emerged from hiding after a week at my house. For more information on adopting Wednesday please visit waalrescue.org/.

You should keep her ,that breed is very friendly and loves to cuddle with their humans.Mine departed two years ago ,rescued from the streets ,I always wondered how such a kind kitty was town away by her humans.

I came to the realization a few years ago tht I wasn't going to live forever, so I'm currently roommates with my oldest 2 bachelor sons, and between us we have 3 cats. If something happens to me, my two will continue on in the same home with the same people for the rest of their lives.

Yeah I moved her food into the kitchen once I was confident she was spending time outside the utility room.

Little Kitty is absolutely beautiful! She has a lovely long coat & pretty blue eyes. I’ve just said a prayer that she gets a wonderful home, after you get to spoil her for a while. I kinda wish it was you that adopts her; but then the shelters would lose a much needed foster home for these kitties! ❤ 🐈

It is always best to do what you did - let them have space and decide when it's time to move forward! Seven days is long, however since she came from a "happy" home, and is likely a bit older, it can be harder. Despite what some people think (not likely most of us here!) cats and other animals do have feelings and attachments and it can take time for them to adjust. Here's hoping that Wednesday's mom can get better and have her little kitty back. Meanwhile she will be in good hands.
