One of the reasons your inventory is all clogged up is that by this point you should have already ditched the Sparq Beam. It's decent enough through the beginning portion of the game, but after like the Flight Deck, it's just unnecessary to keep and all it does is prevent you from picking up better weapons. To answer your question regarding the hallucinations after Berserk: yes, what you see are the sprites of the original game. In the original, the hallucinations consisted of messing up the entire color palette of your screen, but for the remake, they chose to do this cool easter egg. The sprites you end up seeing are the enemies you would generally encounter in that room in the original.
That's super cool to know! Makes me want to use the berserk more often, try and see more of the old models. And that's valid, I held on to it for so long because it was energy based and recharging energy kinda felt like "free ammo" if my other guns ran out at some point. But I'm kinda learning to cycle my guns more often and mix up what I'm using, and seeing ammo last a bit longer as a result. Definitely will keep this in mind if I do another playthrough! I appreciate your advice 😀
