  • We are building a huge custom walk in shower with epoxy shower walls. I have seen a lot of epoxy showers built but nothing quite this big. It's taken a while to get this far but the wait is well worth it. :)

Thank you. Being 6 foot by 4 foot and with an endless supply of hot water from our tankless water heater, it's definitely a nice end of day treat. :)

Really good job on those panels! I would have lived with the first ones but the fix did make them better. This was a very ambitious project and I applaud your efforts. Your workshop is amazing and you have the space and tools to do some nice work. You even incorporated the use of technology by using your iPhone for a level. Great video!

Thank you. The first panels were ok but didn't make me feel right. After changing them up I felt a lot better about the look. The shop is coming along and I'm hoping to get into some more woodworking here in the future. :)

With walls that dark you are going to want lighter contrasting colors for the rest of the room, but in warm tones. Darker creams, golds, yellows and tans are good options. Go get a bunch of paint chips and tape them to the walls (space pretty well apart) so you can see what they look like in the room. Give yourselves a day or two to decide on two or three. Get paint samples of those and paint a few swatches . Give it a few days so you really know what they look like in the room and pick the one you like.
Most people who are bad with color are really just rushing the selection. You wouldn't rush finishing so take your time with starting. Color selection is part of the preparation. It's just slower than people think it should be. You can do it just fine.

Thanks for the advise and the vote of confidence. I'll pick up a bunch of tan chips from our home store next time I head into town. :)

What do you use to clean it? It looks good.

Using a squeegee after a shower keeps it pretty clean but we do use a the cans of glass cleaner to clean it when it needs it. :)
