That second knock you tied is the same exact way I whip the ends of lines on my sailboat to prevent the cut ends from fraying. Once that knot is tightened up it is permanent and the cut ends cannot fray beyond the whipping. The whipping isn't any bigger than the rest of the line if tightened down right and it will not come undone unless cut. I use waxed whipping cord. It is a very handy skill to add to one's repertoire.

I am a beginner in archery ( everyone starts somewhere) although my job is a deckhand with Canadian Coast Guard. the second method you show was a common whipping ( which you probably already knew) we use quite a bit to finish of splicing rope. I just thought that was really neat and never expected it to be used for both rope work in the marine industry and archery. Anyways keep em coming and thanks for all the tips! Cheers
Hey man, I'm a newb bow owner and shooter and this helped me a lot. My bow did not come with the nock, and (withy the help of your video) I was able to use a sliver of butcher's twine to tie up a temporary nock to get me started. Thanks!!

Cut my nose, stitching came lose on my glove. Done with brass. I knew if i looked on You Tube Clay Hayes would come thru. Ordered BCY 400 so until that shows up ill use ice fishing line lol. Thanks for the video.

GM Clay; Question: My serving material is Mono type string. It looks as if you use a braided type material like in the bow string itself to tie the nock points. It makes sense to me that the nock point string material should be braided not the mono type material as in string serving. Are my observations correct?

Well, this was rather a bitch at first. For one, coating the string w/beeswax helped a lot- then found I couldn't move the non-adjustable version unless I put a sliver of wood under the string, even untightened. But then it worked. 🔄👌
Then see what it does paper tuning. Gonna get that big ole RIP because the yor essentially "hotrodding" the front if your arrow. Meaning it's not squared up any more

So tie on the adjustable for tuning then switch to a fixed or is there a way to set the adjustable in place so it won't move?
A drop of superglue will fix it.

I think you meant “tie-on string nocks”, with the hyphen. Otherwise you are referring to a tie... on the string nocks.
