I'm a huge okra lover too, so thanks for this video! I'm planting a variety this season: Burgundy, Jing Orange, Alabama Red, Clemson Spineless, Jambalaya, Baby Bubba & Cajun Delight.
Believe it or not I just planted those same varieties. The are about six inches up now and forming their true leaves. Here in Houston zone 9! And yes I've been using Fish emulsion for just about everything for years!
Wonderful, I have my eye on orange okra. I just haven't convinced myself quite just yet. I love using fish emulsion. It is some really good stuff🥰💚 Happy Planting
I'm new to gardening and came across your video, I use the fabric pots too..would love to see a tour of your yard setup. Mine is similar but I don't have dedicated space and need some ideas! Thanks
I love okra as well! I have only planted Clemson Spineless the past two years and they grow well! I plan to try one of the burgundy varieties next summer.
Watching another one of your videos. You were putting in worm casting but you didn't say why or what it is for, nor what to look for once this is applyed. I'm a new gardener so I need all the help I can get. Im watching a May 26,2022 on small space raised garden etc, etc. Can I find the answer some place else on your site.
Good morning. Planting Jambalaya, Crimson Spineless, Bear, and Cajun. Have gotten three or four harvest from the plants so far. Some of my plants are almost 6ft tall! I planted Texas Hill Country last year. It was okay but I didn't want to plant it this year. I've always been told that you can't transplant okra - but guess what? I did and they are doing well.
The great thing about gardening is learning your way. That way is always gonna be the right way! Never heard of bear and Cajun okra have to look that up! You always have beautiful plants! Happy Planting💚
Hi, beautiful garden love okra I am planting Clemson okra, did you fill that 30gallon grow bag with all dirt or did you use organic. Material like leaves, cardboard, paper or small limbs? Love your videos and clear instructions great job 👏
Hi T, thanks for sharing. Great video. Question: Are these bush okra - I know okra get really huge (tall & wide) won't they be crowded? Just curious because I grew Crimson spineless and Burgundy in my raised bed and my rows were three feet apart. Thanks!
Your okra will grow wonderfully! I have alway planted my okra close together I have so many video of my garden tour and how many okra I will plant closely together. Happy Planting💚🪴
Fascinating container planting! You say small space, however, you seem to have enough space in your yard if that is all your backyard. I like the videos though, not familiar with this level of gardening in planters!
Thank you for watching! I have a nice size backyard but my husband loves his grass so I compromise with my hubby on what space I take up🥰 Happy Planting💚
I love watching your videos! I do however have a little something that you may want to consider, you say ‘Go ahead’ a whole lot. Just a thought…love your content otherwise
