I was able to grow a pineapple plant from the first one 1 tried. I had it for almost 2 years, bringing it inside when it was cold. Then this spring, the first day I day I took it out to enjoy the warm weather, a squirrel chewed through the base of the plant and killed it.
Looks like I’m bout to have a ton of pineapples growing! I buy fresh pineapple just about every week, didn’t know it was this simple to grow! Thanks for sharing 🙂

Hi Tee! Thanks for sharing how to plant pineapples. I actually did one a few weeks ago in water, and the roots are about 2 inches long. I will be putting it in soil Friday. I also have 2 more in water, however, 1 don't look so good and the other is showing tiny roots. Again...thanks for sharing!👍😊

My first pineapple plant came from the crown ; it took almost 3 yrs produce a pineapple. Now, I only plant the slips & suckers ; it takes only a yr to 18 mths to grow a pineapple with them. I have 6 plants that came from the original plant. I sold a few plants. My daughter brought me a Meyers lemon tree for father's day & I'm like a kid at Christmas.

Just make sure your soil is well drained and just a little bit of her light will help with that. I do not have a pacific brand that I actually like.
