- Join me and Molly Cullum, a local teen and new pilot as we take flight in the Comanche 250. Molly is 17 and has earned her private pilot certificate while still in High School. We do a grass landing, Lazy 8, Instrument approach and get weightless flying a parabola.
Follow Molly on Instagram here:

Read the news stories about her and another young local that were able to perform a fly over at one of the local high school games.

Put the flying bug in kids and eventually the kids become us. Help make their dreams come true. They will always remember the day that old guy gave us that ride. Well done Brian. Love your videos & your family.
I was 17 (and in high school) when I got my license. 40 years later, I'm still flying and enjoying it like the first day I flew. Good for her, I hope she enjoys it for a lifetime.
well done Molly...and thanks Bryan for giving her the opportunity to try new aircraft and experiences
alert to Christy @3:12
I commend you Bryan! Bravo for letting a newbie pilot experience your complex Fast airplane. It must have been a blast for her to feel that kind of acceleration on takeoff. Very cool, buddy.
Two videos this week??? Whoa dude, slow down! 😂 really nice video Bryan. Great lazy eights. Glad you can encourage next gen.
I'm trying to get 2 more out. Will probably get at least one
That was obviously fun for you both, and you will make a good flight instructor. Your positive attitude and wonderful sense of humor keeps me coming back!
GREAT video. So awesome of you for taking her up and letting her fly so much!!
Brian, a word of warning, when you go "0" G or negative G, the gas in the tanks float and the oil in the engine floats as well, not a good idea because you could experience an engine failure from loss of fuel and even loss of oil pressure. Only go "0" G with aerobatic approved aircraft where they have pressurized fuel systems and external oil tanks and pressure systems! Please!
Your outward confidence in the plane is amazing over of the past few months. Congrats!!
Keep up flying the next generation you never know who is your next angel flight pilot :-)
Love introducing youth to aviation!
Love flying family and friends
Very cool video Bryan. We give back to our youth aviation community quite a bit here as well, and I love it to see others doing that.
Ha! I see more great things are happening. This girl knows what she wants and I foresee that you know things too. Keep 'm coming CFIII!!!!
Good job giving back! I do the same when I can - because multi time is expensive hand elusive. Paper charts! Right on! Time to work on your CFI!
When you said "heels on the floor," I was actually expecting the clip 👠. 😂
This is a fab video. What an inspiring future for aviation :)
Great video. Love the humorous videos. This was inspiring from pilots take kids flying.
That was a very kewl thing you with/for Molly! Great job! Looked like she did a great job too!
Thats awesome!
What a great experience for her. Good job on that flight. I love 3T0. The girls, their parents and I rented two of those cabins a couple of spring breaks ago for 3 days and had so much fun up there. Sadly, I spent 3 months editing my ass off on a video where the faux nieces and I flew to Cedar Mills right around the same time and made a great video. 2.5 years later....nobody ever watches that damn thing. I even shared the link to it on North Texas Aviators. That is why I stopped putting in real effort into RUclips. LOL
Excellent video Bryan. Its really great of you to actively take the youth flying. Keep up the excellent work. Safe skies my friend 🇺🇸🛩️
This was awesome, you're a good dude, Bryan!
That was great Bryan. Well done.
That’s awesome!
Great job, Bryan! Cool to see you expand her aviation experience (I love flying kids with Young Eagles). I also see that you've become a much more confident pilot since getting your commercial certificate. 😀
Brian, you’re a good man.
That’s it.
You’re a GOOD man.
Thank you.
Thanks for sharing! Great to see the next generation catch the aviation bug.
Very good video Bryan. This showed me you’re going to be a good CFI once you take that step. Your technique and pattern for the KGLE take off was spot on with how it should be done with a student in a new to them airplane.
Let me know if you want in on one of my future CFI courses happening soon.
Very possibly. Still debating
Congratulations on being a new Private Pilot
Good at rudder is good for chopper flying too.
Good luck to you within the Air Force.
Kudos to you both! Thanks for posting. Wayne (DA40 KSBA)
My father told me so many stories about flying. He never took me up when I was a kid. Instead of loving to fly, it scares the 💩.
Now I'm a super old guy like Bryan, who is anxious any time I fly.
I've always thought planes were amazing though.
I so hope you get your CFI and start teaching. Great video
When I used to do the zero g in my Cheetah, I would put my wallet on the dash as a visual g indicator. It always drifts back and I would catch it. It was like my left hand on the yoke was guiding it into my fixed right hand. I wouldn't do it too much. Do a really good one and watch your oil pressure. Negative g's makes the oil and gas go the wrong way. I saw my oil pressure glitch out once.
3 of the many young people I have taken up doing the "Hudson River Corridor" flight have become airline pilots !! That feels so good when they say, It was because of me that they became pilots. WOW.
If she's really serious about flying helicopters, she should also give the Army a strong consideration, especially as a Warrant Officer.
I know you're not decided on being a CFI, but after seeing this video I think it's in your future for sure!
Bryan is currently a ucfi and can only accept gift cards
@@ronjonson26 Un-Certified Flight Imposter?
AGREED. BT would be a phenomenal CFI.
You'll have to get the Instructor's rating, so that future guest celebrities can take the left seat.
👍✅ Not everyday that a teenage pilot gets to fly with a celebrity pilot! Hope Molly got herself an autograph and selfie. Your a good man BrYan.
brYan - I love it how you still laugh like a little kid when you get weightless
😎
how cool getting young people the flying bug
Just don't ask to go flying on a hot and humid TX day.
I found myself yelling “get your hand on the throttle!!!” at the screen. The people in the next room of my hotel probably assume it’s some weird kinky thing.
I flew from the right seat for the first time 3 days ago and found myself with both hands on the yoke. Just not used to switching it up
How much did you charge her for the dual? Don't forget to put what maneuvers you did in her logbook that way she can keep track.
Always looking for people to fly with me. Being retired all the people that want to fly all work so they are only available on weekends. I am flying by myself tomorrow. Ill fly up to NH or Maine for breakfast.
Hit that airport cafe in New Hampshire with all the planes on the ceiling. That's a fun one and the food is great
@@JustPlaneSilly which one? Nashua? Midfield cafe? Love that place. Was thinking of going to Keen
Fantastic episode Bryan, I just have one question. Why are you not a CFI?
Time and money. It's on the agenda though.
@@JustPlaneSilly If you are ever looking for someone to fly with, let me know. I live in Irving, that's not far from Northwest regional.
I wish Piper would build the Commaches again!
You and me both!
Coming next week: Bryan does a lomcevak in the commanche
Bryan is turning into a useful mammal
''Just plane well behaved'' ....
