You should do some of the one season ABC Family shows, like 10 Things I Hate About You or The 9 Lives of Chloe King. That era of ABC Family was so fun and slightly unhinged.
While Austin outing Max is obviously problematic...the dialogue in the scene is so iconic Payson: ...and when he kissed me-- Lauren: He kissed me too! Austin: Me too. ... Kaylee: Wait--he kissed you? Austin: I'll explain later. The point is, he kissed all of us.
I really love how they showed different types of therapy as well as how EDs kill, because there is no winning in ED until it kills you. It's an addiction.
That’s one of the most unrealistic things about the show. I mean she didn’t do small things. She did big horrible things like almost ruining a man’s career and embarrassing payson. I recently binged the show again and I forgot all the horrible things she did. Another unrealistic thing is payson and kayliee still being her friends after all the crap she did to them.
Payson was probably the most likable character on the show. She told it like it is. I also disliked Summer for pushing her agenda. Lauren deserves no friends, like they never suspected Lauren was behind stuff.

The timeline sorta fits the one of the show, plus his position as coach (he coached Olympians at the time, such as Bridget Sloan)

Watching the series, I knew Lauren was the "villain" but watching your recaps where all her wrongdoings keep coming one after the other? That girl was booked and busy ruining people's lives! I see a lot of requests for Secret Life of the American Teenager for your next series, which, yes please, but in part 1 you mentioned The O.C and omg I need you to recap that so bad. She was a legend
One thing I learned watching these videos is that most of the characters (excluding Lauren) are much better people than I am. Payson learned that her so called friend Lauren was the reason her life was almost ruined but she still tried to earn Lauren forgiveness for literally saving her life because of her heart issue. If that was me Lauren was yelling at in the hospital room she would not only need heart surgery but plastic surgery as well.

The "and Emily got pregnant. Bad things happen when teen girls keep secrets" made me laugh so hard. Emily didn't just get pregnant because she had a secret boyfriend. Everyone has had secret boyfriends since day 1. She got pregnant because she didn't have proper sex education. No one told her that even though her menstrual cycle is hella effed up and it was just gonna be a one time thing, she still needs protection. Her mom probably assumed she was smart enough to know better so she didn't bother having The Talk with her. Damon is either dumb or also assumed Emily is smart and mature enough to know what she's doing. The Rock and their homeschool program seems to have an abstinence focused sex education. Lauren, despite famously not having a mom, is the most sexually active of the group and she managed to not get pregnant. Lauren is a menace with mommy issues, but she knows to use a condom or get birth control.
It’s equally possible that Damon didn’t have proper sex ed either. There are plenty of sex myths out there and it is distressingly common for men and woman to know very little about the inner workings of the opposite gender. I’d say what most likely happened is that Emily told him that she rarely gets her period and he, like her, assumed that it meant she couldn’t get pregnant
I only tried to ruin Sasha’s life and Paytons reputation so you would break up with him and become my mom! Man that line was so hilarious. It’s the first time (in this review anyway, I haven’t seen the show) that Lauren, fully verbalizes what she did and why. And it’s amazing because it really hits you with the insanity of what she’s done.

Her mom wasn’t perfect and made mistakes but her mom loved her so much. She tried so hard only for her own daughter to 💩 on her every single time. Payson and Emily had the best moms imo.

I don't know if my memories are warped by time, but her dance elements were so much better than the other girls. The paint dance from earlier in the show was my favorite when I first watched it.

Exactly what Simone Biles knew and why she stepped away from some of the Olympic competitions, but people would've rather her performed and almost hurt herself when she knew her mind wasn't in the right place. She was rightfully afraid that (1) the ambulance would take too long and (2) it would put them deeper in debt. I still think she made the right choice by stealing those meds, the pharmacist was wrong to call the cops on her, and everyone else was wrong to give her a hard time. Sorry.
What really makes me angry about the Emily incident is that it’s almost like she never exists. The girls never talk about reaching out to check on her and still offer their support. To me Payson did look like the most realistic gymnasts to me. The other girls just looked like young attractive actresses playing gymnasts, including the girl with princess Leia hairstyle. Too bad hobbs couldn't Stick It for the last season but family came first.
I feel like you’re being a bit too hard on Emily with her response to her home life. There’s clearly years of pain and resentment there, not just her Mum’s x-rated bar job. To me Payson did look like the most realistic gymnasts to me. The other girls just looked like young attractive actresses playing gymnasts, including the girl with princess Leia hairstyle. Too bad hobbs couldn't Stick It for the last season but family came first.

I feel like you’re being a bit too hard on Emily with her response to her home life. There’s clearly years of pain and resentment there, not just her Mum’s x-rated bar job. Also the pregnancy storyline shook me. I did not see that coming. Kaylee and Paulson are amazing friends and WAY too forgiving. Sasha was also SUPER forgiving of Lauren. I wonder if it’s because of his experience that he’s used to malicious tricks like what Lauren did and Rockgate. Or if he was just worried that a scared and guilty Lauren would not perform well at Worlds so he just “forgave” her quickly to protect the win. IDK. I like Jordan. I still hate Lauren tanner, and her dad for that matter, but it’s just crazy how a literally broken heart made her the kindest she’s ever been. Like her literal heart problem gave her a figurative heart and humbled her. I was so glad when I thought that she had died lol. Why did you trick me like that? 🤣😂It’s convenient that Austin reappeared you support kaylee when he thought that she wasn’t going to the Olympics. Such a shame the show was cancelled.

I never understood why Emily just couldn’t wait to have a boyfriend. This is why she was never as good as the other girls. She wasn’t as dedicate as Payson or Kaylie, even Lauren was more dedicated than Emily. She always got me so mad 😭
Did too notice without Emily there to bring down everybody with her insecurities and self-doubt that the girls have a lot more fun with each other
