The thing with bullies is that it's typically their upbringing that causes them to be such assholes, not sure if Angela's backstory will be expanded on but this whole eye for an eye mentality isn't good. I personally don't like eleven that much especially how she always made such a big deal about "friends don't lie!" Over little shit but was essentially lying about her entire life in Cali and trying to get will to be complicit in lying to his best friend (who he has romantic feelings for), even going so far as to try and get Angela to lie for her after such blatant bullying, like who would believe that was just a joke?! And then gets labeled the bad guy when he lets mike know what's really going on with El and she just gets a pass.

Will wasn't the one who was beat on and physically bullied every day, he wasn't the one with a "father" that looked at him as only an experiment,or a monster because he kills a group of people that threatened to kill him, Will is the one who doesn't deserve a second chance of a young childhood because unlike eleven he is still trapped in the mind of "I still want to hang around the same group of friends, even when we become adults, which Again, will would never truly be grown or an adult because he couldn't bare the fact of his friends getting married and living normal lives than play games and stay in parents basements

I felt not one iota of sympathy for Angela in this episode. she 100% deserved that blow to the face after everything she put El through and I was kinda annoyed with Mike when he looked at her like "what did you do?" bruh, what did YOU do?! nothing. she handled it. Angela will get a few stitches and be fine but I bet she learned not to mess with El anymore, didn't she?
btw, after this episode my thoughts on Vecna were that he's feeding on trauma and guilt and I was immediately worried for Max and relieved that Will and El were not in Hawkins. ❤️

He just learned a little that El is not doing so well, and witness a bullying event ( that he tried to stop but couldn’t do much) he goes and tries to find her then sees her smash a rollercoaster on this girls face and she’s bleeding all over. ( he doesn’t know the extent of the bullying ) so really it looks like El is being a psycho is “overreacting”

el just acted on impulse in that moment so i understand why she hit angela 😭 personally, i would’ve just punched her but her anger had been simmering since episode 1 so it was understandable. also she CAN get arrested at that age because what she did was assault whether angela deserved it or not. will’s awkwardness towards mike has been referring to his sexuality. (hence him pulling away and looking petrified in ep 1 when the girl was trying to play footsie with him in the classroom).
Her anger has probably been simmering for the entire 100+ days they've been in Cali. I doubt Angela JUST started picking on her in episode 1
