The funniest thing about y'all saying Will looks 30 is that Noah Schnapp is actually the youngest of the kids. He's not even 18 yet.
Which in a weird roundabout way makes sense in universe. Since Will has been through some serious shit in a very short time as a very young kid, wouldn't be surprised if that trauma aged him up as a way of taking years off his life (and tying back to a plot point from last season, being so broken of losing out on his childhood because of everything that happened)

Yep when I watched it my whole family said “why not just use a hammer?” (and a few other things) but then he said the explosion thing and got us all lmao
When I watched it I just thought that it looked like they were concerned that the doll might be booby trapped. And then later when they were worried about it exploding, I just thought that the story was continuing along it's logical trajectory. I only realised that some other people didn't get this straight away, much later, when I watched a few RUclips reaction videos and was surprised to see that people weren't picking up on this.

I love watching people react to Chrissy’s death because they’re always SO caught off guard by the gruesome nature of it. All the screaming and expletives are super funny. I was the same exact way the first time

This season really amps up the horror and it's awesome. Vecna and his curse are legitimately scary! Eddie is a great new character too. Poor Chrissy, she seemed nice. Also loving the longer episodes as well... oh and the music is on point as usual -- Kate Bush respect!
I will never forget that music now.

I choose to believe this is a subtle extra layer to the burn, and not a writing error - Eddy asks Erica if her level and class is a level 1 Dwarf, but they're shown to be playing AD&D, in which Dwarf is a race, not a class. The only way Dwarf can be a class is if they were playing Basic D&D. So he's not only saying she's weak and short, but that she plays the kiddy version (Basic was actually pretty cool tho).
See this is why I came to the comments. I haven't played D&D since 2008 but I had a feeling that burn was deeper than I thought. Mainly because one of my last campaigns had someone complaining they *couldn't* be a Dwarf. 🙄

@@ChocolateThaiE well, there's that obvious component, but as I pointed out, he's incorrect to refer to her class as Dwarf in the game they're playing. It's possible that the writers got it wrong and just want to call her short as you're suggesting, but I'd like to believe there's more to it. I did acknowledge that calling her a Dwarf implies she is short in my original comment.
Why did she have the flag on? Her D&D cloak was the flag because you can’t spell America without Erica! 💥
I love the little touch that it's Tammy singing the National Anthem badly, the girl that Robin confessed to Steve that she had a crush on in Season 3 and rather than judge her for being gay, Steve teased her that Tammy can't sing whatsoever and she needs to up her standards.
"Somebody throw a shoe at her" has to be the best comment during this reaction...
I didn't pay attention to the symbolism in the nightmare that Vecna casted onto Chrissy. The mom at the sewing machine loosening her dress along with he dialog and her running to her dad only to see him with his eyes and mouth stitched shut. It very telling of what her home life was like.
I'm loving the Nightmare On Elm Street references in this season! Considering we only got a short time with Chrissy, I really liked her and would have loved to have seen more of her!
Well the voice of Vecna should be very familiar if you're appreciating those references.
She was going to be my favorite new character!!! I liked Chrissy so much ! :( Eddie is dope too so I guess he will be my new fav.
Elm Street came out when I was in middle school and I thought it was the scariest movie possible. I watched it at a slumber party and was scared for ages every single night! The whole thing of “don’t fall asleep…” ugh. Awful!

While everyone else was living life, he was stuck in the upside down in season 1, season 2 he was possessed by the Mind Flayer…so yeah….man’s just wanted to get back to the life he once knew. I don’t think he’s gay at all. Just an awkward kid that’s still tryna figure shit out after his trauma. Man’s just wants his best friend back…jeez lol

You guys and gals are not ready for this season, it's far more intense, emotional and darker than the previous seasons. NO spoilers but episode 4 will have you on the edge of your seats.
Episode 4 had me running up that hill.
Granted i have only watched the previous seasons once, so there's a fair bit i've forgot, but this season feels like the best one by far for me

finished it all and let me tell you, you are in for a treat, amazing cinematography, the score, the soundtrack, the storylines, the characters, the horror factor, everything is amazing, it's right up there with season 1 in my opinion
Great reactions as always, I'm glad one of you Mentioned Nightmare on Elm Street because this season 100% give that vibe especially episode 4. Also, glad yall mentioned that Lucas's request was reasonable you can't expect an athlete to skip a game or to somehow change the game date.
The most relatable thing about this episode is the struggle of scheduling a DnD game.
I absolutely love that they went with more practical effects on Vecna...like obviously some of the more subtle tendril movements on his body are CGI'd but its otherwise practical effects and makes it 10x cooler/creepier..Fav villain to date in the show.
Something about making the villain more human like just makes it 10x scarier 😂

Fun fact for Chris: the marching band coordinator for both seasons 3 and 4 of this show is a trombone youtuber named Christopher Bill. He just released a video talking about his experiences coordinating the marching band scenes. As a fellow former baritone/euphonium player, I think Chris would enjoy that just as much as I did.

Someone else might have pointed it out (so many comments to read through!), but the actress who plays Chrissy is Casper Van Dien's daughter. All I could think about when she kept seeing those spiders crawling around was that she needs Rico's Roughnecks on her side.

I honestly loved Lucas in this ep.he’s really trying to move on from the trauma they’ve all experienced and play a champ game and also is still trying to help his friends cope. I mean he’s a high school freshman so it might not come off the best way at times but he’s genuinely trying

Netflix's release format. Other tv series release one episode per week until the season ends, so that's weeks/months of being hyped. However, Netflix releases them in one go. It's kinda double-edged sword really, it's good that they're all readily available, but also not good you can finish it that fast.

Well technically there is evidence for both, it’s generally accepted that he’s gay, but he did dance with a girl in the season 2 finale, and I’m pretty sure that in season 1 there was a girl crying at his funeral that one of the boys said he had a crush on, I think? It’s been a while since I watched season 1, so I like to think he’s bi or something

Ah thanks for that explanation about basketball rules. After the fact I had to assume that was the rule, but watching it thro I struggled to understand why everyone was still watching the ball after the buzzer had gone off/ the game (I assumed) was over. 🙂
