The infantry in this division looks like it could be deceptively actually strong if you're good at using leaders due to them also being MPs. Once that removes disheartened AND adds vet you're drowning in extreme value 15 and 20 point squads. Imagine throwing commander vet in there too.
Yeah because the leaders have discipline it actually makes the infra playable. Although it requires lot of micro with the leaders, but it can work really. Too bad the division doesn't have feldjägers, that would've made also a big difference.
I definitely think he missed out on that little fact, he noted that the leaders all had discipline but didn't seem to realize that these infantry could all consistently have their disheartened trait nullified and their veterancy buffed.
The issue still lies with the fact that on the offensive it's harder to utilize the leaders because you are usually not in as much cover. So you still have limitations on your offensive capabilities
This divisible will be a monster in 10v10. KTs, rockets, heaps of arty, and big bombers + spam infantry to hold the front line. It's got all the tools.
Important note: Batterie fuhrer does not come with the discipline trait, so unless you are really worried about your leaders dying, you will probably stick with leaders in the infantry tab.
Nerf from 75% to 50% reduction doesn't mean 25% more damage taken instead it is 100% more damage taken (0.25 * x = 0.5 -> x = 2), so before dlc unit took 1 damage and after it takes 2.
I am looking forward to this division the most I think. I love working with disheartened infantry- its so rewarding when you get good with them and I think even with the fall back nerf there will still be opportunity for this INF tab to be crazy if you keep your command chain up
Took Eugen how many years since SDN44 was released to fix the numbers of the 88mm Flak?^^ Until now the ingame 88mm 41 is just a 88mm 37 with a shield...
Confusingly, there are two different 88mm FlaK 41s. One being basically just a minor modernisation of the 88mm FlaK.36, which is the one that is already in game elsewhere. And another, "ultra high velocity" which is a wholly new gun. Basically the same gun in the Kingtiger. So the game is accurate in it's depiction of both 88mm FlaK.41s.
Important to remember that the units in the divisions and the tab layouts are all based on the strength and conditions that actual division was in during the specific year of the war.
My suspicion is that the other FKs with infinite range and radio are cheaper because they only have about 10-20 HE shells as opposed to the 40 on this one
Division is interesting. Looks like its good idea to use all recon squads to take LW-Fuselier, since its only aquad without disheartened trait and take beobachter as 2 man recon.
I mean with all oficers giving disciplined i dont think its that bad to have dishearthened, if theres a leader they dont have that trait anymore but that would mean that it leans more in bigger games where you can concentrate more becouse the units cant act independently
@@atkpwrgaming yea my bad I thought they were in the 16th but they are not. They are in Festung Groß-Paris. "The updated FT-17 will be deployable from the DEFENSE tab"
oof that machine gun on the Lw-Ersatz is atrocious. 5% accuracy and 258 rate of fire as well as only 500 rounds of ammo is probably among the worst LMGs in the game, its like the Bren pre-buff with half the accuracy.
It's a converted aircraft machine gun so it's not very good, but it should have high suppression it has higher RoF than MG42. But yeah I'm afraid the ammo amount can be a real problem
@@czwarty7878 the rate of fire in the game files are reflective of that. It's how many "hit roles" are being made over time using the weapons accuracy and damage. So at .6 damage per hit requiring 20 shots to land a hit then 2 hits to kill one soldier it should be killing one soldier roughly every 10 seconds provided that the target is not in cover. So it would take that machinegun 2 whole minutes to kill a squad of 12. Compare to the new bren gun dealing roughly the same damage at 240 rounds per minute and you will get a hit every 7 shots and that means every 4 seconds a bren should be able to dish out enough damage to kill a single soldier. Next up let's look at the MG-42, 600 rpm, 8% accuracy so it lands 48 shots per minute, it gets a kill every 2.5 seconds.
goes against the grain - Luftwaffe with so so planes and access to kingtigers - only (wehrmacht) schwere Panzer-Abteilungen & ss divisions in reality had access
If the division got redeployed then the KingTigers may not. This is the '16th Luftwaffe' and not the '16th Luftwaffe + others'. The aircraft still suck for a Luftwaffe division
@@markcollins6578 Luftwaffenfelddivisionen weren't part of the Luftwaffe any more in 1944. 503 heavy tank department was the head of the army corps the 16. Lw-Fw was part of. All Tigers ingame arent part of any Division but heavy tank departments beside Großdeutschland and Panzer-Lehr.
There are no divisions in the game that have naturally assigned King Tigers because they generally functioned as independent heavy tank regiments I believe. They always come from like a random regiment that was in the area
Infantry tab, full to the brim. Mostly cheap slu... slots.' That gave me a good chuckle. I like these divisions with a weaker side and a strong side with multiple special units. All around good div's don't really do it for me if they don't have something special about it.
Lw-erzats sucks it has 5% accuracy which I think is the worst in the game, standard is 10%. Sure better than a normal erzatz but this is the last card you take for this div as its barely better than an erzatstroop. One thing to note is that the FW cluster only has 1 tube so its half the payload of a ju 87. Very weird it being bad resiliance. Maybe striketeam did that to balance it? or mistake? Like you said before fallback nerf this would have been a strong div. Now I think it will just be middle of the pack. It still can spam like no tomorrow but not having good inf support vehicles or ways to deal with enemy inf support vehicles efficiently is going to hurt them bad.,
I have a feeling these aircraft stats are just random I remember there was a big fuss about stats not showing proper aircraft characteristics as well as names meaning opposite (like in manueverability "worst" was actually average) So I think it's still not done properly, at least I hope so. Fw190 was a resilient plane, and F/G were assault versions which were extra armored so they were hard to take down, having resilience like light fighters just doesn't make sense for that plane at all

Fair point there!
Seems to be an insanely good 10v10 unit. It basically has the tool to beat others in every metric that matters in 10v10
Gotta give that 10v10 crowd some love haha
Nerf from 75% to 50% reduction doesn't mean 25% more damage taken instead it is 100% more damage taken (0.25 * x = 0.5 -> x = 2), so before dlc unit took 1 damage and after it takes 2.
depends on the relationship - in relation to health or relation to damage
Interesting, I also think the type of unit that shoots is different
