Crazy to see how much the empire grew with Scipio, Sulla, Pompey, Caesar and Trajan. Then of course the reconquests by the vastly underrated Belisarius. Caesar in particular wanted to cover this entire map, and he could have probably conquered more than any other Roman could ever dream, but he would have died. There is zero chance that he able to put together smart enough networks of supply to maintain himself across Sarmatia and Germania. If he wasn't killed by a vastly superior cavalry force like Cyrus, he absolutely would have been killed trying to contend with the Great Forest.
I think they'd explode in a more Chinese style than the mongols with factions constantly trying to regroup instead of going outward to conquer the states that popped out of Rome irl ended up colonizing the world, I can see the pieces having constant wars to reunite Rome and never wanting to expand elsewhere just like china did
The date for the capture of Massalia (Eastern Provincia) is off. Though the city was a loyal Roman ally starting with the Second Punic War in 218 BC, the city sided with the Senate in Caesar's Civil War and was subsequently taken by Caesar's forces in 49 BC. Following this it effectively lost its autonomy.
The peak came under Emperor Trajan, after that Hadrian built defences including the Hadrian's wall which took 14 years to build and still stands today in Britain.

Eden Valencia well this is actually what I told in more eastern view not roman point of view, political power is greater than military power if it wasn’t then Rome was capable to keep trajan parthian conquest and next of it it was impossible but imagine enslave my home land and subjects of Parthian empire...after all romans always love to had control Silk Road even if they were not capable and completely unhope to be Alexander the great and captured empires of Iran because of their first crushing defeats at carrhae and praspa...rome always be jealous because of the Silk Road, the parthians gave citizen ship and local policies to their subjects as federalism united states ,rome which based on slavery never could be superior in parthian lands,in general this two empires were equals and superiority was something temporary but parthians crushed Romans when rome was victorious evey where but romans defeated parthians when they were at unresting civil wars and so damn weak in military positions and lost so many territories to the eastern nomadic factions and young great kushanid empire under rule of kanishka the great in the eastern borders of parthian empire ....finally parthians replaced by another Iranian tribe Sassanids and they kept still in power under Sassanids rule ,the battle of nisbis is something proved the equality if not superiority of the parthians in front of romans in 217 ad before parthians overthrown at 226 ad.
