Great question, Malik! After a wash and style, it's crucial to brush for at least 20-30 minutes to distribute those products evenly and set your waves. Given that you have coarse hair, a little extra brushing won't hurt. And if you're using Shea Moisture and 360 Style, those are solid choices. I haven't worn a durag in over 10 years. And my trick is, I let my hair grow out. I don't get a cut every week or 2. I get lined up weekly, but I get a full cut every 3 weeks, and I brush the most when my hair is higher
What about when u wash it. Do you wash it from the middle on downward like how u brush it or do you scratch and purposely mess it up to ensure it’s clean and then brush it back into place?

A Beehive pattern breaks down a wavers natural swirl. So would a beginner 360 swirl waver(who previously had a 360 beehive) have to brush in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction.
@isaacogunmuko3947 Good question! When transitioning from a beehive to a 360 swirl, it's typically best to brush in a clockwise direction. It helps redirect the pattern and get those 360 waves flowing. Keep brushing and stay wavy! 🌊✂😄

If you’re brushing 30/40 mins a day and duraging all the time you can get waves in a month or 2. Depends on how you wash your hair, cut your hair and how long you wear your durag for in that time

Can i use cantu conditioner as moisturizer before putting pomade for my waves?

How do you fix the overcurl around the edges of your head? I just cut my locs off 3 days ago but my neck and sides overcurl so much when the rest of my head lays down flat

@Wave man Mike I just started trying to get waves I got my hair cut 7 day ago is it good that I brush for a hour in the morning and at night? Ps I only u soft brush very short hair with 360 stlye grease, sporting waves, and Murray's mixed is that good or bad anybody let me know
