    She's been married to her guitarist Neil Giraldo for 40 years! So apparently he did all the things to Pat that Lex described! 😂 One of the most underrated rock guitarists, he's awesome.

      Yep, Pat Benatar, Ann Wilson, and Steve Nicks are my favs of all-time. Pat was also a 5 octav singer I believe. Her Classical training paid off huge in R&R. One of the few time Brad shows emotion/reactions during the songs Ive seen at 3:32... Pat has them all under her spell. Brad appreciates the voice ; )

    You can go WAAAAY down the Pat Benatar rabbit hole! A classically trained vocalist, her jazz album is also phenomenal. One of the best female voices EVER, and she still brings it live

    Pat Benatar is so cool. Shadows of the Night, Fire and Ice, Promises in the Dark are just a few of her hits. She never disappoints. Such a powerhouse!

    Pat along with Ann and Nancy Wilson are the rock goddesses extraordinaire! The only ladies who can rock just as good as the guys can. They all can sing whatever they want and pull it off! Pure genius and talent unparalleled by any other women during rock's heyday.

    I became a fan when she first came onto the music scene and did an interview where she said "Some girls say if you love me and leave me I will die. I say if you love me and leave me I will kick your ass". :)

    her mother was an opera singer, and Pat benefitted from classical voice training - which carried over into rock - which helped temper that badass belting range that she has.
    This song has always been a banger - but "Love Is a Battlefield" will always be my favorite.

    I had all of her vinyl albums when I was a teenager. They played on my record player in my room over and over...and I played them turned up as loud as I could. Loud is the only way to listen to her with the earphones on of course. I loved her so much. She was excellent in concert too. We share a birthday too. Love this very talented lady. She’s married to the guitar player also. Still married to this day.

    Although “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” was perhaps her biggest and best known hit, this one is my favorite.

      @@chrisa4695 Yes, "Battlefield" and "We Belong" reached #5. "Best Shot" reached #10.
      She has some great rock songs on "Seven the Hard Way" including "Sex as a Weapon" and the grunge/punkish "Red Vision".
      Wide Awake in Dreamland has a good number of hard rock songs as well as Gravity's Rainbow from 1993.
      Research can be your friend!

    This is from 1979. She married the guitarist/co-song writer in 1982. They are still together and often perform as a duo. He's also a very underrated guitarist as he could play like this, but played however was best for the song which often meant you wouldn't even have a solo.

    Neil Geraldo, Pat's hubby, is on lead guitar. Very underrated player. Always had creative, tasty solos. Plus he's from my neck of the woods in the Cleveland, Ohio area! Parma to be exact.

    When this album came out, I did EXTRA chores for extra allowance to buy this album!!! This woman was trained in opera & has a 4 octave voice! Her husband had to pull her out of her comfort zone & into doing rock. I, for one, am so glad she made that move! 🤩

    I finally got to see her about 15 years ago and she was still incredible. Even during her warm up you coukd have heard a pin drop. Her and Spyder are still together and such a beautiful couple.

    We're a rock/metal band and do as many or more songs from her (including this one) as any other band. She actually used to be a bank teller an love this quote from her. "I'd be counting money all day and all i could think of was of ways to steal it!" : )
