They totally blew me away at The Roundhouse. As an old London geezer who is bored with copy bands, such originality , talent and passion is not to miss. Amazing, really grateful to have experienced such talent.
Wow, it's been a few months since KEXP has impressed me with a band I'd not heard of (no idea how I missed their SXSW performance). Very alluring, they've sold themselves to me, I'm buying into them 100%.
I've loved this band from the start. Unique all around and Channy is just mesmerizing. Seeing them live three times I'm always completely enchanted by her voice and presence. #swoon
They've grown even better live, Portishead mark 2. They are the only band with this sound at the moment, they are unique. Both albums are great. Preferred her shorter hair though :p
I give this band points for not using a guitar. Always seek bands that find ways to make music without guitars. Though I'd love to know the rest of the kit they use. So expansive for an efficient use of notes, I would love to see how much they are actually using.
I just came over from watching a live performance of 'Farewell' from Boris, so the one drummer's shirt stood out: "Drone, Not Drones". This band is really good, by the way.
Bruce Tollafield Oh, there's plenty of autotune there but these guys always seem to use it a bit smarter than most people. She uses is almost like a guitarist might use a tremolo bar.
Cool jams but too much vocal distortion for my taste.. I like to hear what a person's voice really sounds like, that raw talent needs to shine in a voice!
+Cameron Root - And she purposely mumbles the words. I don't know who started that shit, but too many so- called singers do it these days. it annoying!

If you can see them live, do. not. pass. them. up. Easily one of the most intense and best produced shows you can catch, Polica are exceptional.
It blows my mind how good this band is live. Saw 'em last night and was hypnotized. Love the way Channy sings ... and moves.

Hard to identify an MVP in this four-piece. Each member so vital to the sound.

In the first song the bass player does move through the verse/chorus structure, but he never, ever plays the same thing twice. It's hypnotizing
