I have an LLX6 from a number of years back. It's much, much better than many guitars that cost twice as much in terms of playability, volume, tone, and craftsmanship.
gm Yes. Taiwan. I got to try mine in person before buying. I have not tried any other guitars in the L series. It sounds like they've changed the guitars a lot. Hopefully you can return it if it doesn't work out. Good luck.
My 1981 Yamaha L-25AT can't be beat and I've had Brazilian Martins; pre-war Gibsons, etc.....none better than the Yammie (Solid Brazilian and Solid Spruce).....rare.
I'm wondering the same thing. Unfortunately for me, I'm in another country where you don't get any of these models and if I want one, I have to get off ebay without trying. Can't decide between the LS6 and the LJ6.
anyone have any feedback on the new LL16's. seems like great specs for 899.99 but i know they are made in china and that scares me a little. im also lefty so i pretty much would have to mail order it.
Re. The discrepancy between Yamaha's advertising and the reality. I just bought the LL6 and was told in the shop that's it's a solid back and sides. I think the salesman was reading from Yamaha's blurb but he could have read it wrongly. I'll check it out BUT for this price I'm still delighted with my purchase.
free hard shell cases LOL believe it or not I remember a time when just about every manufacturer would include hard shell cases in pretty much any guitar at 800 bucks an over !!! wow companies sure are getting cheap !!!
They come now with soft bags, but I still prefer them to bulky heavy cases, yeah I know safer but they take more space and are clumsy. I have only 2 guitars in cases, cause they came that way.
To each their own, but I hated the 200 series Taylor I had. Especially plugged in. Taylor’s all sound tinny. A buddy of mine just got a Taylor 24ce Koa builders edition that cost 5500$. It doesn’t hold a candle to my Martin. A lot of people love Taylor’s, but I’ve never heard one live, that wasn’t processed that sounded good. And the 200 series Taylor’s are not even all wood. 1000$ for a laminate back and side guitar is a joke.

yamaha LL 56 ARE ....best guitar on this planet 😎
Yes they are!!!
hello sir, does the L series have a cutaway version?
Is he playing an L6?
Why is the LJ series not in this? They were revamped this year too, right? It's like Yamaha doesn't want people knowing about their medium jumbos.

What pisses me off about Yamaha and Guitar Center was their blatant false advertising about Made in Japan, complete and utter BS made in PRC!
Some models are, some not.
God I just tried this guitar in the shop and I am so glad I bought my Taylor 210 for 1000 USD . So much better, sorry.
