Pineapple Upside Down Cake Recipe

For the bottom of a bundt pan:
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 20 oz can pineapple slices (cut in half)
maraschino cherries
Cake Mix:
3 eggs
juice from the can of pineapple chunks
1/3 cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 box yellow cake mix
2 packages INSTANT vanilla pudding (1.85 oz each)
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 35-45 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Enjoy!

It was really good. I used the pineapple cake mix. It was moist. I did not use any oil. No need to adjust your recipe.

I've only made pineapple upside down cake in a springform pan and the recipe calls for separating eggs and fold in the whites, so happy to find your recipe!

Love this recipe 😋. Will attempt for Thanksgiving. So Im not an expert around the kitchen and cooking gives me bad anxiety. So I must ask just because it wasnt in the steps. What is the best way to Grease my cake dish how much? What do you call the cake pan?
It is called a bundt pan and you can get one at Walmart or Target pretty cheap. Grease the pan with PAM (comes in a spray can) or Crisco. Coat the entire pan..bottom, all sides and the middle thing that sticks up very well. I usually spray the pan, take a paper towel and spread it around and repeat again to avoid the cake sticking to the pan. When you take it out of the oven you can gently run a knife around the edges to help loosen it up. Also, it is easier if you let the cake cool for 20-30 minutes before taking it out of the pan. I've made this PUDPC and it came out perfect! My daughter "STOLE" my recipe off of my countertop and made one at her home. I gave her a surprise visit. When I saw the cake on her countertop all she could do was , "Hang Her Head in Shame!" LOL!!!!

Why didn't you turn it on a plate?
Why not just mix the melted butter with the brown sugar then pour it in
Mike ~ I add the butter first to coat the bottom of the pan before I add the brown sugar. It may not make a difference, but bundt pans have a tendency of things sticking to them and the brown sugar is sticky. It may work either way, let me know if you try it that way! Thank you for watching!

I use the pineapple juice that is in the can of pineapples...you need about 4 Tablespoons. Not sure where you saw one pound of cash??
