Wow that’s funny not funny but you know what I mean,I started my landscaping business as well and at first I was scared 😱 as shit but with time and determination you will surpass the fear of failing!!
Been in business for over 11 years. Welding since 1977, went through full apprenticeship, stick , Mig, Tig, submerged arc, fluxcore, certified D1.5 bridge code. You will have those people who will try to get you to do work for beer money. I don't drink so you can take that item to another shop who will give them the real price. Then they come back to you with I got a guy who will do it for this amount. I just tell them to let them do it. Stand on your prices. Know off the top of your head what your overhead is then price the job based on that. You should know when you are making money, just like you know pipe. It is easy to walk away from a project than to lose money on that job. Some projects I just won't touch because it is a time and money waster. People will try you. I also don't weld on vehicles because if it needs welding it is time to get another vehicle.
Blessings bro. You got this. I'm looking to be like you. You already my hero forsure. Hard quitting that weekly pay but ma'an you bout to make some dough
Good to see raza come up and working hard. I'm getting my certificate this coming week and just signed up for the LADBS certified test. What's a good portable generator to purchase? Have small Miller stick welder.
aye man read some books/ listen to audio from neville goddard joseph murphy Earl Nightingale, bob proctor and napoleon Hill if you have any doubts in your business. last thing you need is to have thoughts like " what if it doesnt work out" "what if..." you will be amazed of the powers within you
I’m an entry level welder, I’d really like to work at a pipeline as a welder helper at least till I got more experience but I don’t know any company’s out there😏
Try to see if you can get some type of thing going for veterans. I know for a fact that truck driving schools will allow veterans to use their GI bill to pay for their tuition and give them money for on the job training. Ask me how I know, lol
I’m 8 months in welding school right now and work as a structural welder but I want to start doing my side jobs but I have really little experience what’s your best advice of what I should do bro?
Pickup a little 110V Lincoln wire machine and set it up with .030 innershield wire. Find a local welder and offer to help him for free to get some experience.
