You are THE MAN proving it doesn’t take a 30k set up to make the moneyy

Got into welding. Electrician by trade and have been for years since 2007…..only been welding for about 2 months (stick and mig) and I really enjoy it
Don't electricians have insane amounts of work? I'm a welder all the electricians I know are crazy busy.
I’m maintenance we work off work orders some
Nights are busy some aren’t….
Dope content. Can you do a video from start to finish on one of those gates. From Drilling into the concrete. Setting the posts. Measurements taken, how much gap to leave between posts. Etc. I’m a welder at a fab shop but never done any welding outside of the shop. Thank you for the videos man
I recommend watching a fencing channel. SWI Fencing is a good one. Take welding advice from a welder and fence/gate advice from a fence company.
You guys messed up that hospital roof
You're very good at what what you do, and I wish you good luck in the future.
Man these vids are badass I wish he still posted content. Cool ass dude
Lil keke went hard on that seven year freestyle tho
😂😂😂😂
If you're mobile and it's too windy for mig, you can pick up an old Miller Thunderbolt/Hobart Stickmate or some comparable transformer stick welder too. I used a 13000 watt generator and a Vulcan Commander to do a bunch of field jobs. The key is to keep a fan on the welder, It will help with duty cycle. Now, I don't recommend a Vulcan Commander because it broke and I had to take it back. They don't make them anymore either way, but it was a copy of the Miller Thunderbolt.
Short answer to this long story, thickness of metal! #blowthrubuddy time is money. And wire is more forgiving and adjustment is more manageable and fyi all good pipe welder have MIG suitcases and use them on jobs like this hope this helps.

Finally some dank content on RUclips. 💯
Can you do reviews on budget welders like titanium Hobert Vulcan machines bro or a buying guide explaining what they are good for
Specs on the generator? How did you go about deciding on that model? Thanks bro
Why not just run fluxcore instead of carrying around that bottle of 75/25?
Maybe because of the excessive spatter produced by flux core? These are kind of decorative jobs that have to look good.
I agree the spatter is down time on cleaning, also Thomas mentioned that is a decorative job. Another thing flux core sucks on open wind areas make it hard to lay a decent bead, not to mention the prepping for flux is a must otherwise it will turn into nightmare.
I do too 75/25 open gas ...I know waste gas money at time but client pay it ..but welder are sure constant weld accuracy
@@martincastano3487 no it doesnt thats the purpose of fluxcore you can weld in wind with no problem. Its just stick welding in reverse.
@@martincastano3487 😂 how is fluxcore worse in windy conditions than gas? and how does fcaw require more prep than gmaw? do you realize that the flux has cleaning properties while solid wire does not, right? 😂
I’m not a welder but could you use flux core outside on a job like that

1500$ for welding on two hinges? Idk how you guys do it in a big city but I would get told to fuck off. That’s outrageous
Damn man I’ve been looking for a job installing gates and stuff. I graduated 2 months ago and I’ve been ready to work but all the jobs my school sends me is out of state. I’ll see how far I can go this year
Same happened to me
Yall made a mess on the hospital roof haha
Damn bro you was welding at my neighborhood lmaooo I just noticed
glad your back
U get the truck back????
What size watts of generator you use
my gen is 15k watts
What's the deal with welders that require clean power? supposedly any inverter welder needs a generator that is "clean power" meaning that the voltage stays very constant and doesn't jump around. What is your opinion on that? Is that supposed to be a clean power generator your using?
Why didn’t you just use a 150 maxstar on the roof instead of bringing a whole tank
Glad to see you're back. Hope you're doing good. God bless you.
What type of generator is that?
My mobile welding set up cost me $1500.00 too . Add another $500 if ya want to do aluminum.
How big of a generator do you need to run this welder?
What’s generator dobyou recommended?
How does the arccaptain handle 6010? Looks like a good machine.
So, I really enjoyed the video until you did a closeup on the gate welds on those vertical bars.
And as someone who has been an industrial mig welder fabricator/robot operator for 2 months... I really have to ask...
Are those 1"-ish welds sloppy due to the welder, the machine, or the settings?
While I get that I may be spoiled with the weld machine I have... I'm really, REALLY new. Been in the steel industry for years, but welding roughly half a year... and I'd like to know if it's the equipment or settings... but those welds are kinda ugly.
Love this Video, how do you find your customer or jobs?
I’m trying to set up a gate business/ repair.
💰👨🏾🏭🤙🏿🔥my guy Rico
How much you make off that job
What size generator would I need to be able to handle a Lincoln SP-170 T?
Do you know if you can put longer leads to those welders?
HOW DO YOU SHIP THE LARGE METAL PIECES TO YOU AND HOW DO YOU DELIVER LARGE PROJECTS TO CUSTOMERS?
What app do you use on the iPad too keep up with your jobs?
👌
Looking on the multi mig, stick, and tig welder
Great video 🤙🏼
How much do you charge per hour on mobile jobs ?
depending what you got you can charge 150$ per hour steel 5-10$ per foot of bead stainless steel 10-15$ per foot of bead aluminum 15-20$ per foot of bead titanium 25-30$ per foot of bead because titanium loves to crack when welding its more trickier than aluminum then you charge how ever much you want to charge for the difficulty of the job then you got the distance you traveled its a lot of money trust me
I’m new to the welding business before welding I had my side hustle working and fixing trucks. At the moment I work out of a small truck I see in the video your running a welder and generator to do some work, any advice on going the route what advice do you have running a generator.
At the moment i currently only know how to weld stick
Question where did u get a vehicle to carry this and what size materials usually for these doors
What happened to the dually?
Hey bro. I really love your work and was wondering if you are hiring by any chance.
💯
Do u need an LLC to start this business and get a contract with that brewery or other jobs?
What generator you using?
Is there any apps that people use to find repair man?
What generator is that
This guy is so handsome.
En q estado estan
houston, texas, usa
Everytime you leave this job drunk 😂
Well, if your guys knew anything about Welding, you would not run Mig in wind at all. You would do fluxcore or use a stick welder 🤦♂️
Oh God and as I’m watching it right now I’m watching this guy cut a stainless steel tank up with no gloves on and he’s just gouging at it and it’s like ohhh God what’s gonna happen. Not trying to bash but if someone got hurt.
Can you talk with out it looking like a rap video stop moving your hands yo
💔 Promo*SM
What size generator did you use
