Debbie and John, epic end to another year of travel for you (and those of us that watch your channel). Your outlook on life is so refreshing, wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday season. I looking forward to the next notification of a she to me production! Tom
Lovely segment of my favorite places here in the desert southwest. Although I have been to most it makes me want to return ! Seems like you two had a delightful time. You captured so much beauty & splendor. ❤️
“Just go to the sign where the guy is barfing” ah ha ha! Ok. That would be far enough for me. The bike trail looked awesome! And wow - your last night, between the time lapse & sunset shots - gorgeous!
Epic road trip. An itinerary for the ages, I'd say. Maybe the best thing about your month-long meander through that stunning landscape was how you seemed to miss the throngs of tourists most places & yet the weather wasn't too extreme (or you were able to scoot quickly to where it was better - that's the real value of bringing your bed & bathroom & kitchen along for the ride with you!)
“… if we only take time to listen”. What a poignant tale of too often American life. Once again thanks to you and John for a great video with beauty and great commentary.
Happy Thanksgiving Debbie and John. Last time we were at the Grand Canyon was in 2014 with a small Class C RV rental. We could only stay one night and did not get to do any hikes. When we make it back to the Grand Canyon one day, we will try that trail until we see the picture of the man barfing. Wow such beautiful sceneries.

Stunning scenery, expertly filmed and edited. The hike in the Grand Canyon looked a bit hazardous with the many steep cliffs. I also enjoyed the Kolb brothers and their images. Thanks for a fine piece of work.
What an epic adventure. We were on the road about the same time. From San Diego to Oregon, Washington (we stopped at the market in Pasco), Idaho, Montana, Utah. The weather was great, naw, the weather was perfect.
Thanks for sharing another fabulous video. I've enjoyed the North Rim of the Grand Canyon from various spots, looks like it's time for a South Rim visit. Loved the information about Kolb brothers. Look forward to watching your next adventure.
Great series, thanks for documenting it for us! There are a few YT channels I know I need to have my Google Maps at the ready to capture good tips, which includes yours. May out that Omnia oven on my holiday wish list. 🚐
We were at the Grand Canyon on Oct 29th riding our Ebikes on Hermit road and pasted to bikes going the other way and thought to myself…”That looked like Debbie & John” then though, nah, that can’t be possible 😅 After watching this video, I’m now positive it was you guys. Would have loved to meet you two, we love your videos and you have helped us make a must see list!
It’s been a long, long time since we walked to Bright Angel Point. My Mom, Dad, wife, and self did it. I was just out of USAF pilot training and in pretty good shape but I was still tired! Good for you! The elk flute music accompaniment for the sunset was just lovely!
What a wonderful- wonder full trip! Loved your summary intro. Your Grand footage brings back so many memories for me. I worked as a waiter at the El Tovar dining room and volunteered for the NPS issuing backcountry permits for 3 seasons when I was in college back in the 70s. The first year was 1976 when Kolb Studio was still operated by the Kolbs. Sadly, I didn’t explore it more fully when I had the chance. It was closed after that with the passing of Emory Kolb. You made a great choice to hike to the 1.5 miles resthouse. I used to recommend to visitors that they hike down to at least the first tunnel. I belong to a Grand Canyon Hikers Facebook group… where too many first time visitors contemplate hiking to the bottom and back in a day. Thanks for the reminder that it is time to go back!
I envy your experience working there. We stayed at El Tovar one New Year’s Eve in the early 1980’s. Our young son got sick and threw up everywhere. He thought it was homesickness. 😁

Dave wants to know what you were baking at the beginning. I think you or someone should compile all the various recipes you and others make in your small campers and write a cookbook.
