Thank you, Alex! Got this kit today, and you gave me an excellent tutorial on the building process, and a gorgeous piece of art to look at in the end. I'll try my best to build it close to your level of expertise...and pay extra attention to the elusive "danger" decals :з
Just as a tip to you and your viewers in the hopes of helping make more realistic models. I was an aircraft mechanic. I notice a lot of modelers paint their inlet compressors very dark, like you did here painting it black. Typically those are a bright silvery gray with the interior ducting from the inlet to the compressor being white. They are not exposed to excessive heat so they aren't discolored. Now your exhaust turbines and ducting can be very dark with blue and straw colors showing the exposure to extreme heat.
@@timothybooker1402 No. You notice when you heat metals they go from black then purple to blue, then a straw color on up to oranges and white for extreme temperatures? Well the exhaust turbine and ducting go through those color cycles indicating the exhaust temperatures they are exposed to. Usually they stay in the black, blue, purple, straw shades. Anything hotter and it would melt down typically with a lubricant failure causing the compressor/turbine set to impact the engine casing. There are charts you can look up. Just search for indicating temperature in metal with color.
It's not nice to suffer with insomnia, I average between 3 and 4 hrs sleep a night, but the positive side of your insomnia is; we get to see the beautiful results produced because of it! Super job, Alex. Cheers : )
The F4D-1 was a piece of art and it was the first supersonic jet fighter. It was very capable as an intercepter but the Navy needed a multi role plane and it had a short life. Had it been in numbers in Korea it would have been interesting. Just a beautiful plane and yours is a beautiful model. Thank you.
Another great build, Alex. I enjoy watching your vids and am learning lots from them. I only build WW1 and WW2 models but you are inspiring me to maybe try something a little more modern.......one day!!
Reyes... para los que no hablan inglês como quasi jo que Português es mi lingua you te mostro en lo video las pinturas... a veces me olvido de las mostrar en video pero 90% de las veces estan en los videos... intentare mostra las siempre saludos
I'm speechless. One question Alex, this "wash" to accentuate those black lines for panels, is water base or solvent base? Thank you for this excellent work!
Another great build Alex. I loved the decals and paint on this one. I have a couple questions. When your sanding the seam lines, what grit sandpaper are you using? Also the tape your using for the canopy, is that Tamyia tape? Aww hell two more.... Do you prefer weighted tires or just plain round ones are ok with you? Oh and the biggie... Did you use enough weight in the nose this time?? 🤣
I used small led of you noticed on the nose so this time it was just right :D i use several types of danding paper... but 500, 100, 1200 are the most usual for me.. the tape is indeed Tamiya tape regular style.. i prefer weighter tires... and its a fact i dont carr much of they are weighted or not... but i prefer weighted... i could have made thise weighted...built this one on insómnias and i admit i tend to firget that "detail".. but had a lot of fun nontheless

Excellent job on a nearly forgotten fighter jet
Yes.. and such a good one... what a good waist of technologie brother!
@@AlexModeling but the Navy wanted an all weather all purpose faster and bigger aircraft.
Yea... politics
@@AlexModeling almost always. The Phantom fulfilled that role. Kind of
Yeah... and NO CANNONS.. cause... "dogfightd were not probable of happening anymore"... Pentagon said... even so... a good jet
Apparently this Epic Fighter Jet had some Good German Designers involved in the Project..🤗🤗👍👍

when you say a blue and straw , you mean kinda a mixture of blue and light yellow to make a brass color

@@Sintarzus спасибо)
Buen trabajo, pero para los que no hablamos ingles deberias citar los números y marca de pintura que usaste para tu modelo.

Chexk out the NOTS EV-1 payload for the F4D. It would male for a unique model of this craft.

Enamel base! :) so apply it on acrilics and if you apply it on enamel protect the paint work very well with 2 or 3 coats of clear coat
Alex thanks a lot for the tip.

@@AlexModeling All good man, you deserve it!
I'm slightly sad as I snapped the canopy of my Airfix 1987 De Havilland Mosquito.😫
Outstanding, where do you put a these works of art.
Your results are much better than most I have seen. However the brand is spelled TAMIYA
not Tamyia
Thank you! 👍👍 You are absolutly right

Slightly random question, but how many models do you make per month?
