Just looking at that Pastrami on Rye made me hungry. I will definitely be heading to Harlan's when I return next month. Thanks for the tip and another epic vid!
Harlan's looked great as it always does. I can remember past visits to the Angel (has it been another year already?) when a little clean up was needed but she looks well taken care of now.
Harlan's is amazing. Two favorite episodes are you visiting your angel and eating with friends at Harlan's. He's so passionate about his work! Edit: Sad thing is if you had that temple in the US, it would be filled with either squatters or illegal aliens, not respected as it is in TH. Love the culture there. Thanks!
Didn't know Harlan was open on Sunday. I went there during my recent visit to Pattaya based on seeing his place on your videos. It was truly an excellent experience, unlike any other in Pattaya imho. Thanks for making us aware of his restaurant. Martin From L.A.
This brunch is a must DO for me , after watching many videos I can see your attraction to that area ! Great choice quite and peaceful place ... Thank you for sharing , enjoy see you there .
A full day of good fun and foraging is Very cool. I hope that the concert is not a Muddy mess. Definitely let us know how good those pies were. Thanks/
i remember your story about the shrine. nice you don't have as far to go to visit. oh ya hi Lucas, now that you've been away from the hustle bustle for a while how's the quieter life going?
Only someone from Philly would know what you mean when you say "from the shore." Love your videos. Is Harlan from the East coast? He gets east coast deli food really well. The latkas looked awesome.
Harlan's always looks good. The red crush always makes me remember Faygo Red Pop as a kid. I never liked it, but i saw it at the grocery store. I feel like i am showing my age, lol.
Harlans's! Yeah ... Thank you for that, Lucas! I normally don't eat breakfast during the work week, so now you got me all hungry at 8am. :-) Was at the local Thai restaurant near my workplace here in Vegas on Monday. I saw the cook come back from the store with Strawberry Crush (red soda) and take it back to the kitchen. I found that very strange. And then he came back to the front with one soda, opened & with a straw in it. It was then I realized he was about to make a food offering to the restaurant's spirit house / shrine. And now I see Larn getting "red soda" for the temple offering. Learn something every day! But I do wonder why they use "red soda" rather than, say ... fruit juice or tea. Hmmmmm
Lucas have you done any videos on the Route 66 Motorcycle shop on Central Pattaya Rd.? I know you may not be a big Harley guy but I would be curious about the prices in Thailand. Anyway, just a suggestion for a video.
I love bamboo shoots, but if they are not prepared correctly they are poisonous so I'm led to believe. Cyanide. But your missus knows what she is doing. Aren't certain seashells protected? There have been some reports of foreign visitors being arrested for collecting them. But of course, they were foreigners. T.I.T. A good and interesting video.
I see Harlan periodically invites You-tuber's in as a way to promote his business (Chocolate man, others just did same video). Food looks great, but New York prices charged, while paying Thai wages, rents and food cost. Got to still be tough sledding for his type of restaurant (despite what he might tell you). God bless.
@@anthonydowling3356 Katz Deli is most expensive deli in NYC and Pastrami is up to $27.50, but much bigger, better sandwich which could even be enough for two. Harlan's sandwich was almost $23 USD with substantially lower overhead. Other places there have same sandwich for much lower price. Yes, prices are up in the US, but I just won't come/go for a couple years - more because the politicians have messed things up badly, leading to increased crime, drugs and volatile environment. So sad.
Ok I apologise in advance for this rant The Internet but SIX HUNDRED AND EIGHTY BAHT!!! for a sandwich(wich is technically a snack) You must be joking.
My Man Your eatin' the best of both Worlds ..That is lookin just as '''KATS ''' in N.Y.C...Are You thinking about Moving already ?? Be Safe in Your Travels...

Every time you have shown Harlan's I know you are in for a fine dining experience. This guy is a wonderful chef.

Vast area of bare earth to host a concert in rainy season. What could possibly go wrong?😂😂😂
Right 👍😂
She sells seashells by the seashore.

That bamboo recipe takes hours to prepare before it gets to the table and eaten. Popular in every Asian country. Be glad someone can make it for you!

Prices are high yes and beyond me but NY prices ? I heard that the US in general and places like NYC in particular are now super super expensive .

Super expensive for Pattaya, definitly not q good deal, you can find much better option in some other nice places
Bamboo shoots share their turf with snakes more than likely .
Coming over next week nice he anyway keep them fat unglued skunks i got thrown in the Bush’s ingoa
One of my least favourite Thai smells, would have to be the cooking of bamboo shoots. It smells like urine, reminiscent to a bad pub toilet in UK 😂.
maybe fermented bamboo
@@Rides4Kickz I think that’s the one 👍
680 baht for a sandwich ? ,that's a day and a half's grind for a manual worker here ,no wonder they (the Thais) stare at us (farrang)
Found the poor!
yes, but I've paid more for less at Thai places in Bangkok before too.
is where you gave the offering beside where you had the accident before Lucas
Yes
