      HaHa thanks for pointing out the location. yeah I've observed other videos that you need to rotate the can 90 degrees while filling upright to sideways bout ever other second. If you get to the bottom of the bottle... turn it upside down and pull the trigger/valve to get the last bit. DO NOT OVERFILL - and good luck. id put that cap in my pocket if you have cap eating ferrets in you neck o the woods.LOL.

    Tip the can upside down to allow the liquid to enter the system then upright to read the level

    FYI, these vehicles are notorious for breaks in the lines so check for fluid leaks underneath when you’re done. I’ve already had 3 pinhole leaks.

    • @bigfatmel74
      @bigfatmel74 Год назад +1

      Does that lead to a bigger problem or an easy fix?

    • @chrispajak540
      @chrispajak540 11 месяцев назад

      @@bigfatmel74 Depending on where the hole is, it can be a simple (but not easy) repair with a line splice. The tough part is getting a pipe cutter on the line with 3 others around it in a tight space, then having the leverage to push the lines together tightly while putting on the splice which can be difficult, bc you’d almost need 3 hands.

    Thanks very much for this video. I have the same truck and I couldn't believe how hard it was to get just the right angle so that stupid thing would press onto the low pressure port! But thanks to your video I was able to finally get it.

      Its cause the caps are so massive on the pro model. Buy a set of gauges and own them forever and get cans at 8 bucks.

    Does that gauge come with the coolant, or do you buy it separately?

    • @DoItWithDave
      @DoItWithDave  5 лет назад +3

      For the brand it comes with everything shown on the video. The can (full of coolant) and hose with pressure gauge. It's a bit more pricey than just a can of coolant but it definitely helped determine how much we should be adding.

    OK. Kind of weird. Mine did not fit on the low pressure port. It fit on the high pressure port only. We unloaded the whole can and the directions even showed the high pressure port. Air was then ice cold in minutes. So, does it matter?

    • @DoItWithDave
      @DoItWithDave  3 года назад

      If the directions show you're able to attach to either side and the air is ice cold I'd think you just got your a/c back just in time for summer.

    Does the air compressor supposed to be running before you add the coolant?

    • @DoItWithDave

      We were running the AC as the coolant was being added.

    • @MegaDanielmtz
      @MegaDanielmtz 4 года назад +1

      I haven't done mine but the pulley on my air compressor doesn't run. So I think I need to get that fixed instead of just adding coolant. Cause I've read to not add coolant if the pulley on the compressor doesn't run but I'm not 100% sure

    • @DoItWithDave
      @DoItWithDave  4 года назад +3

      @@MegaDanielmtz the compressor needs to be in working order for the AC system to function properly.

      Exactly you have to trick your low side pressure switch with hampering it out so it will keep the ac clutch going in order to add the coolant.
