Halfway through The Crew 2's lifetime, I found myself playing the game more and more because the updates seemed to be getting more original, wacky and interesting, and its not just "New car" per update.
i definitely agree, even though the crew 2 isn’t as cool or high quality as nfs heat or unbound, i still play it more nowadays because they’re constantly adding more and more content! also bc the new unbound cars are only available online and i don’t have ps plus😭
i disagree in that I think it's way more high quality, since what everybody is describing is part of...well, the quality. If they can put this much variety in a hugely scaled replica of the USA with brand new cars, challenges and all sorts of new things, as well as great sounds, and classic visuals, then we might as well admit that NFS has gone downhill in recent years (with the exception of Heat imo). The Crew is way more innovative in its approach and way more fun to even just explore the world. That's my two cents@@DonathanXVI
@@wavetech_ I totally agree. My first proper racing game was NFS Heat and what a way to start out. I loved the story and cop chases, and the overall customisation was second to none. Moved onto TC2, playing Heat less and less as I preferred TC2s handling in most cases and the online died out. The immense freedom, sheer amount of content that has just kept growing over time, wide range of vehicles, great visual customisation and very active online space just kept bringing me back and I loved every second of it. Just got GT7 a couple of months ago and I still haven’t gotten over how incredible it is with a wheel. Car models are insanely detailed and the graphics are stunning, with a decent amount of visual customisation and tonnes of performance options. Just writing this has made me feel nostalgic for TC2 again though so I’m gonna have to jump back in soon. 😅
I personally think the festival playlist needs a revamp or possibly a 2.0 like the eventlab, it just feels repetitive af to do the same things each week to get a new car and it would also be great to add more customization and a better map, but I’m happy with this next forza update and can’t wait to play the new eventlabs and possibly create my own 👀
they dont even add new tracks for the playlist or to play in the multiplayer, its the same 20 ones for each type of racing since 2 years ago. every week should have new races that no one raced before, its just a basic thing to expect since you get bored of them after finishing the solo stuff...
Even if they added in something as simple as replacing one or all of the 3 race championships with new Midnight Battles often, then that would be alot more refreshing since we're technically getting new PG races with said battles that we can use anytime after the week is done.
Hot take, but both Horizon AND Motorsport need a big shakeup to get/stay relevant, otherwise with this 'more of the same' formula they'll just get left behind because they choose to market the tech behind the game more than the games themselves
And it doesn't matter. We live in a capitalistic world, the only thing a product has to do is sell well, and products that sell well need to have as big of an audience as they can get. Forza can do (and has done) that by watering the games down to mass appeal, with no regard for the core playerbase of the old games. As sad it is to say, it clearly works, FH5 is the most mainstream entry, with the most players and best overall review scores
Yeah, Forza keeps promoting their "new game mechanic" "new cars" and etc but the game keep having the same essence from the time FH4 was out, they need to steer up the game a bit more and make itself more Interesting than just mechanics and cars, the history of the game itself being one of the first big points that need a refresh
I picked up FH5 a few months ago. It was the first non-NFS racing titled I'd ever purchased, not counting Inertial Drift (phenomenal little game btw). I had maxed out my Unbound progression, and I was feeling burnt out on NFS for the first time in...really ever (I played Heat's campaign like 20 times). So, I wanted to try something else out for a bit and was intrigued by the Forza physics. Let me tell you, something. When I saw the consistency and quality of updates that FH5 was STILL receiving after nearly TWO YEARS--even with a new potentially game-changing IP for the brand right around the corner (Motorsport). I felt conflicting emotions. First, I felt that the Forza team actually cared a lot about their game. It's like they were saying "You paid good money for this game, and goshdarnit, we're going to make sure you get your money's worth and more, and more, and more." Granted, I realize PG and T10 are far from perfect, and the Forza base has it's own complaints. But I'm new to the franchise, so I'm only going off of what I've experienced so far. I'm still having a blast in FH5, and I know beyond doubt that the wave will carry me into Motorsport, at the very least, before it crests. And even then, the game will still be receiving significant support. On the other hand, I felt really sad and let down by Need for Speed, a franchise I've allowed to monopolize my gaming experience. I've been a staunch NFS apologist. I will make excuses for games like Unbound, and especially Heat, until the end of time. But until I actually experienced FH5 for myself, I didn't realize the full extent of how much has been missing from the NFS experience. I'll never give up on the NFS franchise, but I can no longer defend it in its current state. I can only wait and dream, "maybe next time."
Opposite for me, I left need for speed in 2013 and switched to horizon and I was let down with the 5th title, which caused me to buy heat, which was actually really fun.
As @uncoolnickname7032 says, you are in the honeymoon phase. However, I suggest you pickup the 1st Horizon and you may see why there were complaints related to the 5th entry and why 1st, 2nd and 3rd entries are appreciated overall.
Your idea for a revamped Forza playlist seems neat and all but I have one massive problem with it, and that's locking the big rewards behind a multiplayer event. I do not what to be forced to play multiplayer in order to get new cars. I'm sure other people who prefer to stick to single player would agree.
"We need more than new cars"...yeah, that's why they've come out with the EventLab 2.0 lmao. You have got to respect the fact that the recent updates have been banger after banger, with great new cars and even better QoL updates. I still don't understand the criticism of the Horizon Playlist: you can get all the new cars for absolutely FREE (I remember when cars where only added via paid DLCs and boy I really do not miss those times lol), you just have to play a couple hours (btw, they DO have at least 2 community created events every week, I guess you missed that).
I'll be honest, i still dont believe Turn 10 is switching to a new engine for the next motorsport. 343 Industries said the same thing when making Halo Infinite, but a while after the game came out, some people discovered that it was still the same "Blam" engine that had been used in every previous First Person Halo game but further modified for the 80th bloody time and not the supposedly new "Slipspace" engine they said they were gonna use.
Would be nice if Gran Turismo 7 added more fun and varied money grinding options, added more daily marathon systems with increasing demands that reset at the end of the day so you can get tickets more often, more events that make use of the whole car roster along with offering events where you can win the said cars instead of being forced to wait for the legends car dealership and such. But I guess the Evo III is nice too...
The crew as arguably held me the longest when playing. Why? Bc of the updates being what should be regular updates. New cars, motor pass which ain’t only technically F2P, but also actual new events. They also added a race creator which was cool, even different vehicle types, even tho those weren’t that good but still
Yeah honestly i dont understand why so many people have an issue with the season format, it has a specific theme that is related to the unique type of events they add, and its not like any of the vehicles in the motorpass are actually "Unique", since they're mostly just existing cars with unique mods, except I guess the Creators cars, and the Corvette C8.R for some reason
The crew and the crew 2 (in my own opinion before some 11 year old with no life starts flaming me) are possibly some of the most engaging games I've ever played in terms of racing games. It's very expansive and very creative to me, simple but fun, when I used to play it on a whim,I'd play it with my friends and best friends,we had so much fun,off road and on road, going on road trips, still do it too, races are fun as hell too, especially for me. Even just getting a stock car and doing the new York route (hypercar race) is relaxing without music sometimes even with, hell I even drove the whole thing in a vw beetle, was relaxing haha Still though,my point is,I really enjoy it and loved it when I used to daily it with friends and without.
Indeed, thede are the things that keep you on the gaming getting new things, and Forza Fanboys still angry at Motorfest just for having their own festival concept😂
@@thenumber102kthe season format works well for tons of games. Take Fortnite for example, every 3 months a new season with new guns, map updates, skins, collabs etc. NFS unbound technically also has a season type system with every 2 months there being an update, but theyre called volumes by EA
I think like a big upgrade for the festival playlist is to end all those horrific modes and just give us a selection of eventlab creations, at least i would play them for fun. Edit : oh, he already did a demonstration later on the video ahahshaha what a coincidence. But he didnt mention drag races, they would be soo cool on the festival playlist
I absolutly agreed with you on just about every point, right upto the vary end, where you had to throw a wrench in the works, and make a suggestion that would frustrate me and turn me off from the game even more than what we currently have... I am not a competitive player, and I heavily dislike playing online, so having cars locked behind certain positions in a multiplayer race where everybody is going to be dive bombing and pushing everybody else in order to get those top positions sounds like a nightmare I don`t even wanna mess with. Couple that with the idea that different places getting different car rewards means that not only would you be repeatedly replaying a race, but you`d be aiming for say 2nd or 3rd place specificly, meaning potentially another layer of frustration, and possibly another layer still if you have multiple people battling for 2nd place specificly, and nobody wants 1st. The potential fix for that would be for each person in the podium to get their place specific car, plus the cars won by the lower spots in the podium (1st gets all 3 cars, 2nd gets 2 cars, and 3rd gets 1 car), but the potential for frustration is still too high, not to mention even less people would earn the new cars... as for the ranking compared to everybody else, if it`s purely a bragging rights thing, than whatever, but if there are specific rewards tied to the ranking that are car related, than I want none of it as well... The crew 2 does a similar thing where by reaching certain rankings in the leaderboard nets you certain rewards, and while I don`t like the underglow and window tint stuff being part of the rewards, it`s all so gawdy and over the top looking that I don`t really care (not to mention alot of it can be bought, albeit for real money), and the car rewards tend to be specially customised versions of existing cars that you can already buy. You know what, if the rewards for reaching certain spots in the global rankings are money, badged, character customisation garbage, and forza edition versions of the cars that are already in the game, or of the cas introduced in the update, than I`m fine with that, as long as the base car is available to EVERYBODY who wished to earn / purchase it, without having to potentially grind an event for hours
If they copy the same car obtaining system as The Crew, it will be a complete disaster, being within that % does not assure you anything because hackers always make sure in the last days to be in those positions
Been playing games for nearly 20 years, and Burnout Paradise is still the only racing game where I can still hop on at anytime and have fun, mainly because of the Freeburn Challenges. The grind to get 500 challenges done to get the Diamond P12 was fun in itself, and satisfying when completed. Most of the challenges are unique, some simple, some complex, and they all utilize the game world and bring you to places that you might not have known existed. You also get to interact with other players in the world and complete the challenges with them. I have finished all 500 challenges ages ago and I still hop back on the game from time to time because they are so much fun and I would like to help others to get their Diamond P12. Racing games nowadays are missing that co-op and social aspect in gameplay which Burnout Paradise excelled at. Most Wanted 2012's Speedlist was the closest imitation to it but nothing else has come close since.
You're still playing the OG Burnout Paradise? I actually bought the Remastered version when it was on sale for nostalgia's sake. 😅😂 I have played the OG version before, just that: 1) It's pirated. 2) The laptop I was playing on before was probably too weak to run it smoothly. (I knew nothing about graphics settings and PC gaming performance at that time, this was years ago)
The Crew have one off the best new content. They not only add new cars. They made Motorpass, Add new events, have weakly challenges and create their own Version off cars as rewards from those weakly Challeges. Now they chaged this in Motorfest and Now we have a catalog off monthly content with new things to do. This have some fomo but then you don't lose the principal content so it's fine.
New cars are a very personal thing, for example, I am very excited for the new M2 coming in the next update but couldnt give a flying feck about the electric pick ups...plus I dont car about eventlab, pretty much only ever play them when its part of the festival and never found anything that blew me away Plus, we DONT need innovation in racing games, we just need to have good cars and good places to race them, thats all proper petrolheads actually need...proper petrolheads dont need an ingame minecraft island....just look at AC, JUST new cars and tracks have kept it relevant for years
Imagine building a giant city or highway then being able to populate it with traffic and maybe even change the density 🤯 Quote on Quote buld your own Horizon Festival but from the group up 🤔
Sounds like FH3 with mixure of FH2 Edit: also sounds great, since here in FH5 the Horizon Apex, Wilds, StreetScene and Rush outposts came out as part of the main story to the Colosus(final race)
There are a lot of sedans suvs hatchbacks and more which can be added in fh5 are cars like the CLA GLE EQE EQS SUV for Mercedes and some Audis E-torn q8 q8rs R8 roadster all gens.
Pant's new UI would make me stop playing forza horizon if they implemented it. Its very similar to The Crew 2's terrible clunky mess. I play racing games for the PvE and co-op online content because online PVP in a racing game is cancer in my opinion. Locking somone's favorite car behind a place in an online championship is a surefire way to tick off a lot of the community. It would be like LOL locking a champion for anyone who isn't diamond.
That Forzaupdate is great. Forza is being more like a builder for the community than a game now. In NFS case, put some relevant cars, like tuners from 90s. Cars that matter for the culture
I wouldn't mind them using this current engine for the next Horizon. Hopefully, they eventually make the jump to a newer one. But they NEED to re-organize and overhaul the Multi-player/Social experience. Highlighting and making the EventLab/ Multi-player the main focus after the story campaign could be the bread and butter. Also, adding in User Created lobbies, especially for free roam, could extend the life of the franchise. And it would be really cool if you could load into an online free roam that has an event lab Creaton.
I have some 100% drifting cars with drafting and drifting boost to still working on them keep your eye's open for Q564 to see them when I get them ready!
1 more thing, if i remeber correctly they DID SAY that car models like s15 will be reworked etc. Where are those reworks, did thye forget? And did people forget too? Same with working roof, more cars were supposed to get em
linkups in unbound needed a delay tho , people weren’t running playlists because there was a linkup every 10 minutes, and doing nothing but linkups for progression was an L - maybe an hour is too long but it’s a step in the right direction for sure
Lol this is my number 1 complaint. I will keep jumping servers looking for S and S plus races with all 16 on server yet I always notice like 7 People in 1 area waiting for the uplink. Meanwhile I've sent out 5 game request with only 1 or 2 bites. Only time you can get 4 to 8 players in a match is directly after the uplink ends because everyone's still alert. Other than that have fun racing 1 person
I`ve been hoping for a complete overhaul / replacement of the playlist pretty much since the game launched, because it`s been increadibly tedious constantly replaying the same events and tracks, with only minimal variations in the restrictions, in order to earn the car of the week, which I end up using one and never touching again anyway... I had initially vowed to basicly own every car, but after well over a year of repeating the same events every week, I eventually burnt out on the game, to where I haven`t even touched the game in a few months, and the new cars sure aren`t doing enough to pull me back in. I`m excited for the new eventlab, but that`s really only because the eventlab events were the only ones I was still looking forward to when doing the week`s playlist (due to them atleast being interesting and different, for the most part), and a revamped and more fleshed out eventlab means hopefully even more interesting and refined events... I seriously hope that they do revamp the playlist soon, because I think that the next horizon is at least good couple of years out, and I don`t think the playlist can carry the game that far (It`s barely been carrying the game this far as it is), and really needs a revamp as well... They absolutly need to add more event types into the playlist (and the multiplayer bits of the playlist need to go into the bin), and I`d be happy with the idea of the playlist being a curated bunch of eventlab events all tied together by a cohesive theme, with more variation in event types than just circuit, rally, and crosscountry ( drift events in closed roads, 1v1 touge style or highway races with or without traffic, drag events, lap knockout, tollbooth events with a time limit between checkpoints like in MW and carbon, there are so many possibilities), and the PG made events also need to utilize these props and feel unique, rather than feeling like rehashed events from the game`s "campaign". I would also like to see the playlist itself include more events, and maybe become a monthly afair, rather than a weekly one. Finally, if it doesn`t become a monthly thing where individual cars aren`t earned in individual events, I would like to atleast have the ability to either play previous playlists to earn any cars I missed the first time around, or I`d like to see the cars come back at a later date, and become permanantly available to earn or buy, rather than having to rely on the auction house, or hoping that I get lucky and the cars I want return to the forzathon shop at a time that I happen to be able to play the game. Also, I would like for snow to be an option in the eventlab, because as annoying as winter could be in FH4 when using road cars, it`s laughably underused in the map, and I`d like to see snowey eventlab events (or maybe a full map covered in snow for a season, courtesy of the "evolving world")
Bring back the grind! Starting the game with a low tier car and working just to get upgrades, let alone getting a better car, is what is missing from the series.
You are funny if you think forza horizon is gonna fall behind 😂 forza is clear of Motorfest. I’ve already seen alot of negative reviews of Motorfest from big creators
Yeah, stoopid Forza is still NO1 by normie masses, not gonna change. No newer game HYPE, no brand fanboyz, no hardcore community members with in-depth analysis can change that. For me personally while Motorfest looks interesting, still on a warpath against Ubisoft so no way I'm touching it. Continue my love-hate relationship w/ Horizon 4 and having an absolute blast w/ Unbound. With a spice of good old FlatOut 2 on the side... Should also buy Distance, but not enough time to touch backlog RN.
@@janosd4nuke if you arr having a blast with one of the worst games to have come out in the past decade then that says alot about you. Not a single content creator plays that anymore. Where as forza they still make tons of videos on it. Unbound died out after 4 months
@@tobiasrydholm6589 and if you think flocking to whatever trend creators are flocking to determines what you gotta spend your free time with or serves as valid argument for quality, now THAT says a lot about you. Also I'm not here to campaign and evangelize for any game. Just pour some gas on many aspects of herd mentality. People should think for themselves and embrace their own subjectivity in stuff like entertainment. And while it has its issues, Unbound is peak NFS for me. After HP2010 killed the IP, free trial weekend broke in my curiosity and got me pleasantly surprised breaking through the online salt factory. Worst NFS: HP 2010 TOP 3: 1. Unbound 2. Underground 2 3. Most Wanted 2005 Humor me, I'm quite curious how your NPC brain will process this take.
To be fair Horizon 5 has been on a winning streak with the past few updates... Ever since several people at playground games left they've been on a role.... Making them look like the primary target is a little unnecessary but somewhat understandable... As they were initially one of the main culprits of just slapping in new cars and calling it day... Not right now they arent tho
A major flaw I see in your playlist idea is having the only way to get a car if I playing online that's just going to make people stop playing the game especially if they don't like playing online or if they don't enjoy paying for subscriptions
A good example of shaking things up. Midnight club L.A. The wager races, the ordered events (basic nowadays) unordered events were amazing. Pink slip wagers. Delivery missions. And a solid story line (although cringe at times) Thats what open world games should be all about.
This is quite literally the same problam all new racing games have. ESPECIALLY GT 7. The entire campaign was rough since day one but instead of fixing/reworking them, we get a family van and a few minor updates.
This can be applied to all racing games. Having new cars is nice, but if the only new content are cars then it's lacking. FH5 is getting some pretty big updates that adds some extra content, like more stories or the upcoming Event Lab 2.0, but I have to agree that some of the updates that only added some new cars and sometimes only recycled cars were really lacking.
Fixing the game might be, getting rid of silly jumps tracks/off road and making the game a little bit more realistic and less childish , don't you think guys????
Something I still dont understand is what happened to the gaming industry after 2019? We went from 2019 with having well put together games to after Covid with the new normal now with the plan for companies basically releasing half of the game with barely any work and over the course of the next year, they slowly build the game up to be where it should have been at launch with returning features being called new content. I mean seriously, when it’s not the re used assets that get a slight touch up or putting major features that where removed behind pay walls, because now it’s always something of why they released a broken shell of a game, because it’s been three years almost 4 now and Covid isn’t much of a an goof excuse to get away with this kind of stuff anymore.
1969 VW 230mph 1/4 9.8 0-60 2.8 578 horsepower 518 max torque with draft and drift boost with Herby skin for comedy purposes 😄 EA keeps nerfing my mods so have fun figuring out how I set my stats up.
Translated by Google: For me, the most important thing in multiplayer racing games is that the updates are large, that they change and improve the experience such as new game modes such as tournaments, competitive modes, 100% skill modes, etc., new functions such as proximity chat for talk to those who are nearby, new online functions such as lobby sessions such as public or private that Forza Horizon 5 has to eliminate the convoy, expand the map to add new places, new races, new circuits which is very important, and others. Adding new cars is not enough to keep the game alive and fresh because it is useless, a waste of time and adds nothing.
The reason they had to delay the Linkups is because without that delay, people are just gonna play that mode over and over and over again and people will burn out of the game faster.
thats 100 persent on the devs. I just got into this game 2 weeks ago thanks to EA play. I did a few b and A tier race playlist and earned about 300 thousand in 4 hours. that's barely even enough for a new engine for a high end car I mistakenly did an uplink not knowing what it was and won 187k in one season which lasted 15 minutes. So its 4 hours of racing for 300k vs 15 minutes of bumper cars for almost 200k. The point im trying to make is the racing payout is subpar, makes you grind like hell for a childish racing games. That formula is stupid. As a new player who just wants to fill his garage with cars this games makes it extremely tedious because each one has to be individually upgraded and I want to have duplicats like a drift and road build. Only way for me to get this is by currently jumping servers spamming uplinks which is still tedious because it seems They are failing in the 4th round like 60% of the time for a 3rd of the payout.
Id hope that the groups working on the next horizon and moving it to a better engine are developing features like this and more, and then passing it on down to the teams still working with horizon 5 to kinda give us a taste and see how we respond to it (optimistic I know)
Linkups being delayed actually makes NFS more playable for me. I have cars i still need to unlock via playlists that no one wants to help out on because they’d rather grind linkups over n over
God this is my exact experience when playing modern Forza Horizon games. Over 600 cars and nothing to do with them. You unlock a car and hop off. Game is boring. No story. No replay ability. Just generic
If they really wanna make a memorable experience, they need to look at games like NFS MW 05, NFS Underground 1 and 2, Midnight Club LA. They all had a fun story mode, filled with missions that helped you progress the story. Nowadays, they just throw you map with nothing to accomplish except collect cars....
i have few "problems" with FH5 1. Map in compare to previous games from series is ...... BOOOOORING 2. Every modern racing game almost share same cars. 3. Playlists ... grind fest "adding new cars" which are "old cars" from previous Horizon's in laters playlist , why they added same things again again and again ... 4. Rewards "new cars " should be for 46 points , not 26, Rewards cars for 46 are just bad rewards , mostly you can buy them in auction hall 5. Progression is soooo bad , everything is unlocked at beginings or after few races 6. Player can easly be Milionere in early game , so "colleciting money and buy dream car " dont have much sense if you have ALOT OF MONEY *Player got cars , money for nothing (whhelspins which in my opinion destory whole progression, GT7 do it much better) 7.AWD swaps for me this modifications destory online races cuz everyone or just 90% use it (because FWD , RWD is too hard for him) 8. I stopped playing cuz all "new content" is soooo lazy made "For example donout media challanges dont have even checkpoints final race you can complete without follow the road .... I rly liked forza , for me FH2 is the best ,then FH3 but FH4 and FH5 is pretty bad
FH2 progression so bad when you Ferrari 360 challenge instantly put it S2. The career FH2 it you just championships 4 race each. Goliath in FH2 is worse series For dirt section. FH2 100% completion 10x time championship of career and not counting the 15 already did (15 of 168) You if Porsche classic for being paid for returning a car. 1995 BMW M5 and BMW 850si for same thing.
The festival playlist at least allows players to unlock the new cars without too much effort. However it is repetitive as Theo pointed out. They could have followed The Crew 2 formula of adding new Motorfest content each month or let the community create new content with Eventlab 2.0. Adding new cars is good in my opinion but there is no incentive in using the cars after we try them out. Too many cars is not good either. Still remember when Gran Turismo 5 and 6 had over a thousand cars and Polyphony ended up redoing the whole car list for Gran Turismo 7. Forza should do the same.
For new cars, I’ll be the first one to unlock and customize them. But I wait until the next series before I really start using them, when the hype goes down. It’s not fun when everyone is in the same car at meets.
All it would take to get me playing GT7 daily again would be new 30min races with big payouts. If they gave every track a 30min race that paid out 750k-1m across multiple different classes I’d never stop playing. What’s the point in having all these cars if actually playing the game means using the same car on the same race over and over and over again.
Not defending FH or anything, but I think they're probably way understaffed for what's expected of them. Churning out new games and expansions at such a rate I can see why they have no time to really work on their existing game. The "won't fix" section also tells a story in this regard, as does outsourcing the car modeling. One game launches, and immediately they have to work on expansions, then the next game, and repeat. Of course, that's just my impression; the studio seems not very big, maybe I am wrong. If anything, they should employ a few more people to actually deliver on their existing games.
This is off topic but. The Need for Speed franchise has the opportunity to do something great in 2025. They can celebrate a 10 year anniversary of the reboot of the franchise (coz NFS 2015) *and* have a 20 year anniversary for the original Most Wanted (2005) by making a new Most Wanted title. What do y'all think?
i think the problem with horizon is that we get given things which are cool but it’s not what we want, we wanted Japan and got Mexico, we want new cars and new custom stuff we get a BMW ix and an old M3 with a double wang, we want crazy DLC’s and we get another rally dlc and hot wheels… not to say any of these things are bad (except that M3 kit) but we get hyped for a reskin essentially, same with NFS, dude robs your car now you’re on a mission to get it back become the best street racer and the popo have hacks. personally i think what the guys are doing with test drive is the best out of the new titles, we expected houses, massive open map and licenses to drive certain cars but they gave us something completely different but with the best of what we know and love about test drive which is what makes it so exciting.
Eventlab was literally the thing that the game was built/showcased on yet it took over a year to improve upon it in a way that doesn't make it inconvenient like the livery editor. Matter of fact, why hasn't the livery editor been given community logos that don't lock the design? What if you are really good with the lines on a livery, but you don't know much about making logos.
Who is we? This video was mostly centered on Forza, and that game isn't really hurting for "payouts." The economy in Unbound has also been fixed pretty much. I spent all my money building a couple of cars, and I made most of it back in the same session.
Great example of ‘New car will fix game’ not being a good update pattern is GTA Online 😅
Nah I feel like gta does enough w their dlcs not to be in this convo
Especially when they add cars no one asked for. Like the recently added Clique Wagon.
Except they actually add old cars too, it amazes me that gta has a firebird but forza doesn’t, and the customization is really good
theyre probably just adding finished cars from gta vi development to keep people entertained
Especially when they add -200+ cars in an update
Halfway through The Crew 2's lifetime, I found myself playing the game more and more because the updates seemed to be getting more original, wacky and interesting, and its not just "New car" per update.
i definitely agree, even though the crew 2 isn’t as cool or high quality as nfs heat or unbound, i still play it more nowadays because they’re constantly adding more and more content! also bc the new unbound cars are only available online and i don’t have ps plus😭

It was too weird that I didn't understand what to do or why I'm doing it. Idk if it's the UI or what. Just all confusing in Crew 2
@@T.N.C_HATNANI don't like gran turismo it's awful on controller
I personally think the festival playlist needs a revamp or possibly a 2.0 like the eventlab, it just feels repetitive af to do the same things each week to get a new car and it would also be great to add more customization and a better map, but I’m happy with this next forza update and can’t wait to play the new eventlabs and possibly create my own 👀
Playlist is just a FOMO chore chart and should be *scrapped* as soon as Possible.
they dont even add new tracks for the playlist or to play in the multiplayer, its the same 20 ones for each type of racing since 2 years ago. every week should have new races that no one raced before, its just a basic thing to expect since you get bored of them after finishing the solo stuff...
Even if they added in something as simple as replacing one or all of the 3 race championships with new Midnight Battles often, then that would be alot more refreshing since we're technically getting new PG races with said battles that we can use anytime after the week is done.
Hot take, but both Horizon AND Motorsport need a big shakeup to get/stay relevant, otherwise with this 'more of the same' formula they'll just get left behind because they choose to market the tech behind the game more than the games themselves
this aint even a hot take lol like this is very obvious at this point
This is 100% true
not even a hot take forza is boring ash
You are at the honeymoon moment rn with Forza. Same for me with Gta o, and Im slowly starting to see more and more problems the more I play.
Opposite for me, I left need for speed in 2013 and switched to horizon and I was let down with the 5th title, which caused me to buy heat, which was actually really fun.
FH5 DLC is very disappointing overall, IMO
As @uncoolnickname7032 says, you are in the honeymoon phase. However, I suggest you pickup the 1st Horizon and you may see why there were complaints related to the 5th entry and why 1st, 2nd and 3rd entries are appreciated overall.
We need more racing games like Blur and Splt/Second. Those were fun as fuck.
I recently went back and completed Blur. Such a great game
Couldnt agree more. Blur during a lan was amazing back then.
Yea blur is real underrated
Your idea for a revamped Forza playlist seems neat and all but I have one massive problem with it, and that's locking the big rewards behind a multiplayer event. I do not what to be forced to play multiplayer in order to get new cars. I'm sure other people who prefer to stick to single player would agree.
Especially those who don't have Xbox Live Gold/Game Pass Core will not be able to get those awards.
Multiplayer Locking, of any kind ,should be made *illegal* under the 2010 Equalities Act In My Personal Opinion.
Agreed
This is what I would like to see in Need for Speed as well. I like the Idea of unlocking cats from specific events like the events in this video.
Cats?
**Cars** I didn't realize that until now lol.

Even just getting a stock car and doing the new York route (hypercar race) is relaxing without music sometimes even with, hell I even drove the whole thing in a vw beetle, was relaxing haha
Still though,my point is,I really enjoy it and loved it when I used to daily it with friends and without.
Indeed, thede are the things that keep you on the gaming getting new things, and Forza Fanboys still angry at Motorfest just for having their own festival concept😂
My nfs playtime (50) hour and the crew 2 (795) hour
@@thenumber102kthe season format works well for tons of games. Take Fortnite for example, every 3 months a new season with new guns, map updates, skins, collabs etc. NFS unbound technically also has a season type system with every 2 months there being an update, but theyre called volumes by EA
4:23 I’m dead lmao
Alright, Theo, that's good to know!
@6:42 yes, Lap Knock out! That's what's been missing in the racing games for long time!
Oh yes, Elimination/Eliminator races.
And that's why they are adding event lab 2.0
I think like a big upgrade for the festival playlist is to end all those horrific modes and just give us a selection of eventlab creations, at least i would play them for fun.
Edit : oh, he already did a demonstration later on the video ahahshaha what a coincidence. But he didnt mention drag races, they would be soo cool on the festival playlist
You should become active on the Forza forums and get your members to vote there! That’s where Devs check for suggestions!
If EL2.0 is gonna carry over to FH6 (which I assume it will), then omfg that game is gonna be hella amazing.
This guy saying "WHAT'S A KM" needs to understand that more than 90 percent of the world uses KM not Miles. Get out of your bubble pls UK and US.
No, making the link ups take longer is exactly what it needed
I have played the OG version before, just that:
1) It's pirated.
2) The laptop I was playing on before was probably too weak to run it smoothly. (I knew nothing about graphics settings and PC gaming performance at that time, this was years ago)
@@yongling9825 Lmao no, of course I'm playing the remaster. Servers for the OG game has been down for 4 years now.
New cars are a very personal thing, for example, I am very excited for the new M2 coming in the next update but couldnt give a flying feck about the electric pick ups...plus I dont car about eventlab, pretty much only ever play them when its part of the festival and never found anything that blew me away
Plus, we DONT need innovation in racing games, we just need to have good cars and good places to race them, thats all proper petrolheads actually need...proper petrolheads dont need an ingame minecraft island....just look at AC, JUST new cars and tracks have kept it relevant for years
Adding a new car to a racing game is like adding another weapon skin to a shooter
4:00 a.m. needs to hurry up so I can play motor fest lol
You can literally build a second city....people are gonna go crazy with this
Imagine building a giant city or highway then being able to populate it with traffic and maybe even change the density 🤯 Quote on Quote buld your own Horizon Festival but from the group up 🤔
"Build your own Horizon Festival but from the ground up" sounds a lot like FH3
Sounds like FH3 with mixure of FH2
Edit: also sounds great, since here in FH5 the Horizon Apex, Wilds, StreetScene and Rush outposts came out as part of the main story to the Colosus(final race)
7:45 I can't burnout on keyboard
I think the festival Playlist needs to go
Agreed, it is just a boring, frustrating and repetitive FOMO chore chart and it has *ruined* Horizon! It needs to be Scrapped!
I think if new update would bring new customizable options to existing cars and remake some old cars would be great
Shout out to the Little Big Planet players
This is why the only racing game I bought at full price was the crew motorfest, since I know it will maintain my interest long term
Quality >>> quantity
A last desperate chance before Motorfest launches 😏bye bye, Forza

Worst NFS: HP 2010
TOP 3:
1. Unbound
2. Underground 2
3. Most Wanted 2005
Humor me, I'm quite curious how your NPC brain will process this take.
3:58 it really does look better here
That Mitsubishi looks better in FH5 because the lighting looks better than Motorsport
You had to slow down for cops in nfs mw too, what's your point
Every modern racing game. No QoL or race type/game mode additions. And people wonder why racing games are no longer bought by mainstream audiences.
I don't think racing games ever attracted the mainstream audience. Most of the global population don't play them.
This video should be more directed to GT7 than any other racing game.
why u ignoring the massive update they gonna put out for event labs
Fun fact FH3 was the only horizon with a fuel station in the outback.
1969 VW 230mph 1/4 9.8 0-60 2.8 578 horsepower 518 max torque with draft and drift boost with Herby skin for comedy purposes 😄 EA keeps nerfing my mods so have fun figuring out how I set my stats up.
Game changing, you really have no idea. My tracks take months to build. I hope this cuts like a momth off.
Translated by Google:
For me, the most important thing in multiplayer racing games is that the updates are large, that they change and improve the experience such as new game modes such as tournaments, competitive modes, 100% skill modes, etc., new functions such as proximity chat for talk to those who are nearby, new online functions such as lobby sessions such as public or private that Forza Horizon 5 has to eliminate the convoy, expand the map to add new places, new races, new circuits which is very important, and others.
I did a few b and A tier race playlist and earned about 300 thousand in 4 hours. that's barely even enough for a new engine for a high end car
I mistakenly did an uplink not knowing what it was and won 187k in one season which lasted 15 minutes.
For real. I just find myself logging on for an hour or so a week, getting both or just one of the cars if I already have one, and just log off after
POV:You just made a video complaining that cars aren’t enough for Forza updates when they just added huge features for eventlab
Fuckin hell Theo
Another great video, Keep it up mate ❤️
If they really wanna make a memorable experience, they need to look at games like NFS MW 05, NFS Underground 1 and 2, Midnight Club LA. They all had a fun story mode, filled with missions that helped you progress the story. Nowadays, they just throw you map with nothing to accomplish except collect cars....
Asphalt 9, a mobile racing game is for some reason more active than Forza,Nfs or even the crew...
Please roast NFS because their efforts are top tier especially for a car game.
Edit: I love how you went at them, we need more of this
I agreed up to the point when you locked the cars behind online race placement , that is unless you implement some form of FPS like MMR system
That, Multiplayer Locking, of *any kind* ,should be made *illegal* under the 2010 Equalities Act In My Personal Opinion.
As long as your idea is a challenge to actually win, then I'm all for it. Getting cars is just too easy.

so happy motorfest is out tomorrow
i have few "problems" with FH5
1. Map in compare to previous games from series is ...... BOOOOORING
2. Every modern racing game almost share same cars.
3. Playlists ... grind fest "adding new cars" which are "old cars" from previous Horizon's in laters playlist , why they added same things again again and again ...
4. Rewards "new cars " should be for 46 points , not 26, Rewards cars for 46 are just bad rewards , mostly you can buy them in auction hall
5. Progression is soooo bad , everything is unlocked at beginings or after few races
6. Player can easly be Milionere in early game , so "colleciting money and buy dream car " dont have much sense if you have ALOT OF MONEY
*Player got cars , money for nothing (whhelspins which in my opinion destory whole progression, GT7 do it much better)
7.AWD swaps for me this modifications destory online races cuz everyone or just 90% use it (because FWD , RWD is too hard for him)
Goliath in FH2 is worse series
For dirt section.
FH2 100% completion 10x time championship of career and not counting the 15 already did (15 of 168)
You if Porsche classic for being paid for returning a car.
The only issue with the Forzathon upgrade is that some of my friends are mid at the game so they'd never get drip feed cars
GTA 5: has fuel stations but no fuel caps on cars.
Forza Horizon 5: has fuel caps on cars but no fuel stations.
I'm just gonna leave this here.
8:11 So basically Crew 2 Summit but less grindy, has event lab tracks and it doesn't punish you for not having X car?
Wreckfest is the only game that a new car will fix the game and make it better.
Event Lab did become the Planet Coaster for Forza Horizon! 😅
If only we can go into photo mode while in multiplayer in lab events
i think the problem with horizon is that we get given things which are cool but it’s not what we want, we wanted Japan and got Mexico, we want new cars and new custom stuff we get a BMW ix and an old M3 with a double wang, we want crazy DLC’s and we get another rally dlc and hot wheels… not to say any of these things are bad (except that M3 kit) but we get hyped for a reskin essentially, same with NFS, dude robs your car now you’re on a mission to get it back become the best street racer and the popo have hacks.
personally i think what the guys are doing with test drive is the best out of the new titles, we expected houses, massive open map and licenses to drive certain cars but they gave us something completely different but with the best of what we know and love about test drive which is what makes it so exciting.
Nfs link ups got done that way because nobody was racing
We need more events, better payouts, etc
Who is we? This video was mostly centered on Forza, and that game isn't really hurting for "payouts." The economy in Unbound has also been fixed pretty much. I spent all my money building a couple of cars, and I made most of it back in the same session.
When he means ‘We’ he’s talking about him and the Forza community
@@TimmyLittle-hy5mb 👍🏼
We need a modern midnight club it’s so simple but hopefully the new tdu will come and respark out community
