I so loved Harvey. The kindest funny man, even counting Tim Conway. Big competition. I miss those days and didn't know that those were GOING to Be good television days.
She used it in other skits; she played this same Gypsy in a fortune telling skit, then used the accent as the Wicked Witch from "Snow White" in another, and also as a doctor in a movie adaptation.
At the very end, Harvey is mischievously tugging on Vicki's dress ..... love it. Betcha that was not in the script. Man, these sketches were super entertainment. Still hilarious. ❤
That shot is from Roger Corman's THE PIT AND THE PENDULUM, squeezed a lot to fit the old tv screen format, since the original film was in PanaVision...if ANYBODY cared to know! ;-7
Carol's parody of the out-of-control screaming in old horror movies is hilarious! Especially at 3:35 -- her expression of "I'm screaming for absolutely no reason..."
Carol Burnette is absolutely a landmark of comedy, I will not dispute that. She is legendary, iconic even. But I do think its unfair to dismiss female comediannes after her. For example I think Fran Drescher did some great physical comedy back in her hayday! Melissa McArthy is also a riot. I recommend the "Lulu Diamonds" sketch if you haven't seen it.
Congratulations to Freddy Cunningham for being the only husband in a horror movie smart enough to listen to his wife when she says it's time to run for it.
@@MaskedMan66People who try to express that they like something by disparaging something else make me tired. If you like something from old TV you don't have to denigrate new TV.
The large writing staff where kind of old fashioned, many of the jokes old retreads but the, ad libs and talent made it work along with great sets and clothes design etc.
If I may request an episode there's a movie parody with James Coco , where Carol's character is dying of a rare disease and James Coco was going to the chair. Can't remember the name but it was funny.
I wonder if this is a play on Rocky horror....a couple comes to the house, car broke down, need a phone and they’re in Transylvania? Idk it just came to mind?
For an instant, at the very beginning, I thought the actor with Carol Burnett was Tom Baker! Even with adequate lighting, he still has a passing resemblance to Baker.
Geta Baciu To us Americans in the 1970s they were both backwards Soviet satellites. Today the only thing that has changed is that they are embracing capitalism and freedom and we are flirting dangerously with Communism.
I would replace SNL for The Carol Burnett Show in a NY minute!
Hilarious sketch! Vicki was especially good.
Eydie Gorme really was gorgeous, as well as having one of the most beautiful singing voices.
That was an extremely detailed set design; and it was just for one sketch.
They put in a Lot of work creating that.
Carol was brilliant in surrounding herself with brilliant actors. She didn't have to be the star and it was her show. That's class.
Stick, Stake, or a Shtick. That's comedic genius!
I so loved Harvey. The kindest funny man, even counting Tim Conway. Big competition. I miss those days and didn't know that those were GOING to Be good television days.
Always one of my favorite CB Show sketches. They were all completely on point....but Vicki really shines here.
I've always loved Vicki's accent in this!
She used it in other skits; she played this same Gypsy in a fortune telling skit, then used the accent as the Wicked Witch from "Snow White" in another, and also as a doctor in a movie adaptation.
Me too! That's why I started re-watching it.
She was absolutely fabulous in this one!
I know Carol and Harvey were Vicki's mentors, but often I find Vicki the funniest.
At the very end, Harvey is mischievously tugging on Vicki's dress ..... love it. Betcha that was not in the script. Man, these sketches were super entertainment. Still hilarious. ❤
Bob Mackie's costumes totally insane. Hair and makeup too
That castle exterior shot was used for a Gilligan's Island episode when Vito plays the mad scientist who exchanges the castaways' minds.
true

"One is a verewolf, the other is a rock star...when the moon is full, you couldn't tell them apart...go raise children!"
One of my favorite comic lines!!! Ever!! I actually remember when I first saw this ...and that line!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Priceless. Great line. Timeless 😂
Oy Vey!!!
One of FAVORITE EPISODES, Harvey was HILARIOUS 🙃👍🥰🙏❤🌹💯
The cast is hilarious! They are just the best
A Stake, a Stick, and a Schtick(?). laughed my butt off!!!
no, it's still there, bigger than ever.
Shtick, actually. :-)
I used to, as a child, sit on the floor n laugh hysterically at Burnet s show. It was clean humor.
Carol's parody of the out-of-control screaming in old horror movies is hilarious! Especially at 3:35 -- her expression of "I'm screaming for absolutely no reason..."
I was going to say something about that!
I love :40, where she goes from screaming to smiling in the twinkling of an eye.
Eunice screaming is so great.
"Oh, whats his name?"
"Its Dr. Frankenstein, he's a specialist"
*Eunice screaming*
the death of physical comedy ended with carol burnett. She was just too brilliant. No other female comic actress can replace her magic.
Carol Burnette is absolutely a landmark of comedy, I will not dispute that. She is legendary, iconic even.

Harvey Korman was genius.
Great actor! Underrated.
Harvey was amazing.
I still remember Vicki's character after all these years
Thank God for MeTV, GetTV and FeTV, right?
Harvey was tugging at Vickie's skirt, lol! Superb comics,I love them!!!!
Harvey Korman so awesome always.
Vicki is funny as Maria Ouspenskia. The addition of some Yiddish never hurt anyone.
Great Name. The orig. M.O. was an influential Russian actress until 1945 in Hollywood.
Halevah the gypsie. Hilarious.
Kudos to you for knowing the name of this classic "Gypsy" actress. It's sad that she has been largely forgotten.
@@robertklose2140I remember her very well.
"Are you alright, dear?"
"oh yes it's just a flesh wound from my shoulder to my ankle" xD
We try to keep our blood sucking down to a minimum- 🤣 this show was and is so funny! With or without breaking character it's still terrific. Thanks!
“Ohhhhh. Last night...”. I can’t type what she expressed but funny.
Harvey Korman also used the werewolf gag in High Anxiety to freak out a patient at the asylum.
Still making me laugh in the year 2019!!! Classic!! Great artist!!
“Don’t you know there is no such thing as werewooooves.”.
I want to add as ringtone at my cell phone the scream of carol and the laugh of eydie gorme at this sketch
"In this town there is no phone company and no mechanic. We try to keep our bloodsucking down to a minimum."
A
Anne Rice should use that line in one of her novels.
Who was that lady anyway?
@@peskylisa RIP Anne Rice.
Congratulations to Freddy Cunningham for being the only husband in a horror movie smart enough to listen to his wife when she says it's time to run for it.
This show was the highlight of TV!
Paula G Whyte It still is!
“Hmmm a stick, a stake, and a schtick...” 😂😂😂
Rather watch these CB shows over again instead of today's stuff
Thank you for posting this! It's one of my all-time favorite skits!
2:56 i just love her scream so much

It sill makes me laugh also. When this show was on the air, I did not have a working TV set. I was a last year in high school.
The wolfman will bite you tonight and oh your going to get it lol
Hilarious! A good nod to The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
I loved watching the Carol Burnett Show too bad we don't have TV like this today
We DO have TV like this today...it's youtube!
Happy people put it on RUclips for us to all enjoy! :)
Very good...that scream!
Well Done!!
There’s Paul Sand! Big fan!
Enjoyed his work as the rabbi in "Joan of Arcadia" =)
Thank you--couldn't think of his name. Wonder whatever happened to him?
Thank you for the sendup skit on my home town, Singed , Vlad the Impler, aka Dracul.
Funny! Wonderful acting.
"I've inherited the curse of the VOOOOOOOLF man!" 😂😂

Vicki doing Tim!
Haha, Korman as werewolf... High Anxiety! :D
Very good actors

Haunted Honeymoon came to mind, but that came after the CBShow, 1986 (I looked)

my fave skit! whatever happened to Paul Sand??

Takes me back to the old country , the werewolf trying to get at the postman , me trying to get the beef roast off him
A send up of the 1932 movie "The Old Dark House.
So funny sketch ! However although, Transylvania is not an average town from Bulgaria. It is the central, north-west and western region from Romania.
Seen from the USA, Bulgaria and Romania are the same… Lol
