At the 2023 CTWC, over 100 Classic Tetris pros gathered at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo to vie for 48 seeds. Qualifying consisted of 2 hour attempts where players would try to rack up as many great scores as possible. In a 48-seed bracket, the Top 16 seeds earn a bye out of Round 0, while the bottom 32-seeds compete for a spot in Round 1.

That last game, Birb should get a lot of credit for eventually making it out of that insane dig. He's was given an awful piece sequence ultimately though and just couldn't get back into a rhythm.
Just extreme efficiency from Scotto on level 18. Birb of course had that maxout game. Good final.

I feel like at least the winner of the silver bracket should qualify to the gold bracket
It's a live tournament, the brackets get played out at the same time, so there isn't really time for the silver tournament winner to go and play in round 1 of the gold bracket (I believe gold bracket is already down to top 4 or top 8 by the time the silver finals get played).

I'm pretty sure that this is suggestion for automatic qualification in 2024.
That would be a good idea in theory but seeing how much Tetris changes in one year the silver bracket winner could either have dropped off the face of the earth or become the best player in the world. There’s really no way of knowing

Great game, but boy the yelling Getleman commentingis a bit distracting. I get it, you want to hype the match but a bit moderation would be cool.
