it doesnt scale well at all. if i can post pics i can show you that the godzilla is too big. the chogokin is pretty much the same size as the shma kiryu
I too had trouble deciding which one I wanted but I ended up with NECA mainly for the price. Thinking of shelf presents it's a great size. I still may end up purchasing the SHMA because I apparently like abusing my wallet.
I'd say this is actually NECAs best realized Godzilla figure (aside from the Monsterverse stuff which was made using the CGI data from the films...) which makes it a really strong contender against the MonsterArts, however this figure just happens to be one of MonsterArts best ! and wow! that Yuji Sakai sculpt is to die for! Gotta give it to the MonsterArts! but again, NECA did fantastically with this release and it's so sad that it was one of their last Godzilla releases for the time being,... they were just starting to get good at it...
Awesome video as always! Honestly i think the monster arts is just better in the sculpt. The two suits are the exact same except for the scarv. I think it is a better representation of the godzilla that is even on my icon. Saddly i can't afford it, imma go for the neca.
Yeah, SH monsterarts figures are ALWAYS overpriced which is the reason as to why my collection is mostly neca. I have 2 SH monsterarts, and yes I love their figures, I am looking forward to actually purchasing the SHMA Godzilla 2002 once I make enough money. But for now I recommend to go for the Neca if you don’t want to spend tons of money.
Well I think 2003 was changed a little to look scarier and the scar but they are honestly pretty similar and also the only bad thing about the shma is that u may get derp eyes but if u get good eyes it would look fantastic
That’s so funny because my SHMA KiryuGoji just came in today. I’m looking at I now, and I have to say, besides some overtly tight joints, I’m very happy with the purchase!
I have both and honestly there good figures, for the neca kiryu goji I have em along with the tokyo sos kiryu model kit and the height comparison to the 2 are pretty accurate to the film, tho the model kit is taller then the shma one since I have both 2002 and 2003 model kits
there both really nice and sculpted there’s only 1 thing that shmas and neca has. Shmas has a detail for accuracy and accurate designing while neca doesn’t have noticeable gaps between some of his body parts (basically what I’m saying is they both have many differences)
Being that the monster art figure is more than double the price of the neca I think they shouldn’t be compared like this. They would have to be about the same price to be a true comparison
I think the neca is better because the price. YES! Especially the tail moves awesome, to me at least, but hey this is my opinion, if you agree with my opinion or disagree , okay, I’m not judging.👍🏻
@@GadZip Yeah but their customer service is great. My SHMA Ghidorah 2019 came with a chipped wing and they offered not only a full refund, but also $65 off my next purchase. So I bought the 2019 Goji for $15, which came with a derpy eye, and they sent ANOTHER ONE for FREE.
Sh monster arts wins I have the monster arts version of Kiryu Goji and I recommend getting the monster arts but get the neca version if you want to save money
Outstanding review on both these figures Steven.... I have both of them on my shelf..lol. I totally agree that SHMA figure is just a little bit better then NECA figure. It’s matter of choice and what your comfortable in paying !
Congratulations! I was looking forward into ordering the 1954 SHMA but I just went with the Neca figure. May I get your thoughts on the SHMA 1954 before I buy it?
@@sirshrimpy5438 Ok I will say how good it is,the painting and sculpting is beautiful,it’s so related to the 1954 movie, the black and white shading is amazing, the the hard material is amazing, for articulation, there’s so much points of articulation, there’s five ball joints in the head along with a hinge jaw,the arm articulation, there’s four points of articulation,it doesn’t go down really far but that didn’t bother me,the waist has 3 standerd ball joints, great range for the waist, the legs have five points of articulation,,amazing range for it,and the tail,it has 15 points of articulation,it can look straight! The size is like any other sh monsterarts godzilla,6 inches The price for mine is $89 dollars for MSRP So it’s a great figure, definitely buy it!
@@Someone-who-likes-transformers Alright, that sounds like a great figure. Currently the only SHMA figures I have are the “Godzilla 2001 figure” and “Heisei King Ghidorah 1991”. I’m really looking forward to the 1954 SHMA. Thank you.
Win count Size: NECA Articulation: Sh monster arts Price: Neca Sculpt: Sh monsterarts good tight joints: Neca I like sh monsterarts more but im getting neca because of price
For kids age 8-13 : neca For collectors : shmonster arts Cause SH just has a lot of choking hazards and it’s limbs can pop off easily So as neca but not as much as SH
IMHO, the NECA looks bigger all around, and has a lot less gaps in the joints. Better than both of these, is the NECA repaint, with the dorsal spikes detailed in at battle fired up colors, multi colors of Microwave Maser Cannon Fire damage, and even more colorful details over many areas of the whole body. The hooded cobra like neck and shoulder piece looks odd on both, but again trading some articulation for less gaps and better looks, gives the NECA the win. Time will tell if the choices of materials is better on either the NECA or the SHM, great shame that for now, NECA is out of the game in this class.
This time honestly Neca can not be compared with the Kiryu Goji monsterart. I really hate the fact that they put the neck and the shoulder together as 1 segment, really disgusting to look
NECA is not even remotely better than Sh monster art's, Godzilla doesn't even look like the one on the big screen, his face is honestly horrible, and Sh monster art's products are very fragile, But they are 100% faithful to the big screen, they are practically identical to the models seen in the movies, You just have to be very careful not to break the pieces.
S.h monster art win
No, the shmas paint is very sloppy like in the eyes, and basically everything in the NECA is better
Tbh neca is better
I prefer the shmonsterarts it’s more accurate
No! S.h monster arts is better!
@@lehuy1452 sh monster art is losing hope cause derpy paint and no stuff and sometimes derpy eyes
The Chogokin Kiryu from Bandai scales really well with the NECA.

The NECA Godzilla 2003 is my favorite

I cannot find any neca figures anywhere 😢
Two figures I both have😂
Also Neca kiryugoji scales well with Aoshima's Kiryu Model Kit
I already have the sh monster arts version and plan on getting the NECA version sometime as well
Already gotten both the SHMA and NECA KiryuGoji which I do think there's no competition between the two.
Make a video of you’re figure like review them

I wish that thing was still $80-$90 lol
The thumbnail feels weird without the figure or diet figure fight logo
It's called Diet Figure Fight because they have to fight it out by the Diet Building.
My monsterarts eyes are wonky. Left eye looks perfect. Right eye looks like he's doing an I'm so over it eyeroll
You should do chogokin gigan vs SHMA gigan
I'm thinking is Godzilla 2003 (sh monsterarts)is tall than kong 2005
DIET Figure? Nice
i listed the sh monster arts tokyo s.o.s that costs 400k IDR
and yes, im indonesian
i always see neca as more like a luxury toy where the sh monster arts are more like a really nice poseable statue more or less
I’d swap those descriptions honestly
HOW DO U GET IT

why SH Monsterart is smol and Neca Godzilla is big boi

Neca wins 🏆 for sure
If the neck has more possibility and the neck is better I would say neca is better but sh monsterarts it's better sorry neca
The most annoying thing about s.h monsterarts is the price… as usual
