Really says a lot about Raven's character. Summer wasn't a maiden, because the Spring Maiden was training at Haven before leaving and being found by Raven. Vernal was a decoy all along, and the trust thing... Yeah, Raven may be a crappy mother, but she'd be a decent mentor to those who can handle it.
You know, hearing Cinder that the Spring Maiden had to trust Raven so much to carry this burden. What if Ruby's mom was the Spring Maiden? And Ozpin thinking she had enough power to take on Salem. Sent her on a mission to kill her. Ruby's mom died and the powers went to Raven, and Raven in fear of sharing the same fate as her team mate. Went on the run

Something I never really thought about... why is the element floating around Raven ice when she's the Spring Maiden? Shouldn't ice be for the Winter Maiden? Or am I just overthinking things?
The maidens have every elemental power. Fire, ice, wind, electricity, etc
I think each maiden just has a personal element preference. Like cinder likes using fire more and raven likes using ice more. The elemental powers aren't assigned to one maiden.

I think for raven, it would probably start off with her telling herself in her head the reasons she made her choices and sort of making excuses for herself and internally criticizing yang's logic, but slowly she starts questioning herself and when she eventually starts crying she realizes how yang isn't completely wrong about her and that both her and raven deserve to know that raven loves yang, which leads to her apologizing and giving yang her wish. For yang I think it would start out with her annoyed and slowly gets to the point where she is extremely angry because her mother is starting to remind her of blake and she begins to tell herself that raven needs a harsh lesson. As her mother starts showing that she truly has considered yang and does care about her she starts to regain her sense of respect for her mother and ends up feeling conflicted about raven. At least, this is my personal interpretation of what would being going through their heads at the time. Also, I think raven left because 1. she was embarassed, 2. she wanted to apologize to tai, 3. she wanted yang to have her plan respected, and 4. she saw it as an opportunity to get herself out of danger and a chance for ozpin's team to prove that they are trustworthy.
