Another great video. We've watched you guys virtually from the start, and have been so inspired. As we're both retired, kids grown and left, we sold the house and bought a campervan. It's been 7 months now and life is great. No money worries and no stress, it's fantastic. We'd only been full time in our van for a month when my wife was diagnosed with breadt cancer. It has meant we've had to stay reasonably close to a hospital, but it just goes to show that vanlife is possible and enjoyable no matter what obstacles life throws at you. So thanks for all your positive and entertaining vlogs, they're such an inspiration. ✌️

I enjoy watching your vlogs and I’m glad you guys are enjoying van life over a house. You are a decent family (including Boo in that😀), and your style of vlogging keeps my attention as you are all down to earth people. I absolutely agree that life is short and no one guarantees us tomorrow, and that’s why my partner and I retired early, and it was the best decision we could have made.

Great video guys , been watching you for a while now and really looking forward to seeing what you get up to in Holland and Belgium. Me and hubby took early retirement nine years ago , sold our house , bought a very cheap house in France , did it up and now a beautiful house on France, bought a motor home and travel around France in summer and spend our winters in Spain. As you say life is short so live it , take risks and do what makes you happy 😀

Thank you... I am 81 and stay in place in a brick motor.. It is wonderful watching you living your best life. They have portable washers.. that spin rinse where the clothes are almost dry.. I have one to avoid the laundry machines in our building. You might look into it for alternative with the laundry machines. Such a nice family life!!!
We have a washing machine but you can only do a few items at once so it’s not really practical for winter use as you still have to pay for the dryers

It's definitely not the glamorous instagram lifestyle that people think it is. Your issues re work, commuting, holidays, money are replaced with worrying about keeping your van mobile and fixing the bits that drop off 😂water, parking, gas, laundry. Plus being cooped up with your other half 27/7 isn't the easiest. Working helps 😁
We have been in the van now 622 days and counting. I seriously can't see me going back to bricks. Not ever.
We need to sort out the car collection/drop off and whatever is easiest for you guys!

You know I've been watching you for months and that was your best vlog yet. You were both so natural and the subject was really interesting. We're in our 60s and still go camping in a tent and like you say , you can feel all the stresses disappearing as you hit the road to who knows where, we just follow the sun 😊. Next step for us is a little Eriba pan familiar so there's room for our 2 year old granddaughter 😊. I think a lot of people don't realise the time and effort it takes to film your vlogs and then edit plus trying to reply to everyone, it probably doesn't leave a lot of you time. Anyway you're doing great 😊😊😊

I’ve had no internet for two days, signed in this morning and saw I had gained 50 new subscribers, then just sat watching you and realised why! Thank you so much for the shout out, i’l even forgive the ‘old lady’ comment, my grandkids will love listening to that, they think anyone over 20 ancient lol. I’ve watched you for a long time now and think you were courageous to make the decision to sell the house, but I totally understand the reasons, low wages, sick pay, pensions, working just to live, once you get older that’s even less fun… As a carlifer I find Scotland so much easier than England and Wales for our style of living, they just seem so much more geared up for our needs, all the months I spent in Scotland last year think did a total of 7 nights on sites, mostly just when I needed to strip out the car and give it a good clean, sandy beaches and dogs make for messy cars lol . Again thank you for the mention, if ever you’re doing Scotland I’m sure I can recommend some nice stops lol, all our love Pam Ted and Lolly

Hi Guys!!!I love your channel, I’ve been watching van life for about 2 half years now, I follow a few, I have 7 granddaughters I have to look after 4 days a week, so van life is impossible for me, plus my hubby not as keen as me, I would love to do it one day when there all grown up but we might be to old by then, watching van life is MY down time I watch it as often as I can, I admire anyone who lives this way and I would say anyone who is in a position to do it, then do it, yous show up the real van life weather your in a lay by or a beach, it’s a fab way to live especially Zak to, your showing him a amazing life while he’s young, il continue to support your channel cos I love it, all the hard work you put in to making these videos for our viewing is much appreciated, hope you will continue your journey, as always take care & stay safe see you on the nxt one lv use❤❤❤❤

We love the outdoors and travel, meeting new likeminded people it’s just great. We also have met some lovely people on our travels and we relate to you guys and hope we will meet soon or even to wave 👋 as we travel. 😊 Great video. Can't believe you don't get sick pay.!!!! We get 4 weeks holiday per year and 10 sick days plus we get public holidays. But our retirement age is 65yr! You have freedom😊 That was the huge attraction to us. No lawns, no weeding, no house maintenance, less bills and soooo much freedom. If you don't like ya neighbors you can drive away LOL.😊 I think for mental health it's brilliant! And you appreciate the simple things that others take for granted like water, turning the lights on. And you grow closer as a family! We noticed how material items become essential instead of "just because". You guys are living your dream, you are free 😊 It's so awesome. And your wandering, waffling is a blessing for many 😊

Your honestly is awesome 👍🏼 i love my caravan but would love a motorhome, me & my partner been together for 29 years, we dont argue but id still have to go away for 6 months before giving up the brick,, & for the stupid people that dont know dogs, little dogs csnt wslk far & need rest so a doggy pushchair or back bag for a dog is needed & only good responsible owners would know this ❤ & its the responsible ones that pick up after their dogs & others at times 😮 love your honesty & i think you've got an amazing family ❤️ i love you can choose the best places to stay, if you dont like whos moves in nextdoor you can move, love it ..kindness doesn't cost a thing, awesome vlog as always guys ❤🌹🥂

Yes totally agree about the government moving the goalposts regarding pensions as they want you to pay in but they don't want to pay out.
They will do anything to prevent people reaching retirement age, hence the increase in processed foods and big pharma producing treatments that deliberately cause harm. 236 days of living your dream. Being able to make your own choices is just the tip of the iceberg. Your health is more important than money. Im nearly 3.5 years now with long covid. So my health made my choice. As you say live your life.

Enjoyed this, I live in Durham City in the northeast and have a couple of campsite suggestions if your ever in the area, the first one is free in a safe location a four minute walk from the main police HQ, its called the DLI Durham light infantry museum car park in Durham city DH1 5TU, the DLI museum is closed down the land is owned by the council but they don't stop anyone parking there I've seen Rvs parked up, its also a 5 min walk to the train platform station where there is a Costa coffee shop & a pub,. 8 minute walk.into town center. Durham is called hill island as its practically surrounded in an almost circle by the river wear with the castle on the hill. Second is the Durham amateur rowing club campsite listed in the caravan club, this has electrical hook up, facilities & bar restaurant, its a good spot again 8 min walk into the town. Best wishes

We've been fulltime for 4yrs and when people ask what's the worse thing and I said it's for not doing it sooner 😂 we chose to do it as all our wages were flying out instead of in 😂 we only work the summer season and get winter off ...... we are spanking the gas too but its OK coz we can afford it lol great vlog as usual xx

Only one life live it is one of the best things I have heard this week. Ive been working and living in the van away from home for 10 years and for the most part enjoy it. I have finally put it to the missus this week that things need to change. We rent a house, and to put it in perspective for rent/council tax/electricity and heating oil has cost us over £100,000 for just over 4 years. For a house I hardly spend time in, usually home one or 2 days a week at most. Buying loads of things for a house i dont get to use. Its obsene really when you think about it. The plan now is to get a bigger van, convert it this year and then try the van life together. We do plan on seriously reducing what we work to probably 2 days a week each which I reckon will give us enough money to live comfortable enough but we will continue to work. We are young 50s with no real pensions, no savings as such and if things carry on we will both work ourselves in to an early grave with nothing to show for it so why not give it a go? Thats my answer to Why choose Van life lol
But this is exactly what people are caught up in, working to live and paying ridiculous money you either don’t get much use out of or having no money left to do much more than ‘get by.’ That’s no life, go out and enjoy the world there’s so much to see and do, life’s too short!!
Hi guys, i did mention last year to you that i did the same, sold up brought a Campervan, the plan was to take a year off of work then tour, had few issues with van, so went back to work i the busy time over xmas.
Got few upgrades to do then all being well start again 🙂

Brilliant vlog, some great information from you both. What happens when you get older concerns me. How would you go on then. Also what about medical provisions. Watched your channel for ages now and you are very genuine people. Keep it going and don’t be a slave to society. You should do a live. Q&A keep it going
So we stayed registered at our regular docs so we still get our prescriptions done there but instead of having a nominated pharmacy they just put the prescription into ‘the spine’ and you can request it from any pharmacy in the uk ☺️
