Every credit for lifting off for the Westerhams. Annoying when they brake test you afterwards though. My method of avoiding having to lift off is to drive a standard 20 year old MX5.
It's an open pitlane track day, you are overthinking it, you are frustrated when you cannot pass, and then frustrated when you get passed. No matter what car people bring even if it's a Ferrari it could still be their first-ever track day and they could still learning or be overwhelmed by the experience. Try to remember the first time you went on track rather than trying to shame people.
Yeah first ever track day in their race cars, behave yourself! I see a faster car, I move over, simple, everybody wins. Is it to much to ask in return? Its an ego thing plain and simple. As for the fails, it was meant tongue in cheek, everybody makes mistakes.
BMW fail number 1 was 3 fails. 1. Out-braked himself but failed to get off the brakes after locking up and still turned in. 2. Failed to take the escape road when he locked up. 3. Failed to take the escape road after he'd stopped. If the car used to have ABS and he's disabled it, that's a further fail until he becomes a better driver.
Second BMW spin is why I generally keep my distance in some corners, doesn't take much for someone to spin off and end up in front of you, and if mid corner, you might not be able to brake. MR2 looks quite impressive, not a car I've given much thought to recently but I'm off to Autotrader for a browse. :)
So many impatient cnuts on one trackday😂 “All must jump out of my waaaaaay!” Just come in for a bit when it gets a shit fest🙂 Relax and enjoy the day, best bit is always late afternoons
Pretty standard day at Oulton Park this mate. Had much, much worse days there. More so when race teams use a general public track days to test before a race weekend ☹
Have an Mr2 Mk1 - so not fast in a straight line. My pet hate - faster cars (most things but particularly BMW - Merc etc) overtaking you on a straight. So you lift and slot back in behind. Only to have them brake hard 150 yards before they need too, drive aroundthe centre of the corner missing apex by a mile, so you are right kn thier tail being held up, then because you have way more exit speed you go to pass - and they simply flatten the gas to repeat the cycle at next corner. Old adage i guess - anyone can drive fast in a straight line!

😂 No lift crew! Love it, good driving again, we need to try and get some more Roadsters on track.
Nice driving and nice to be able to do it again 👍

What happened at 2:42? No heel and toe and locked the diff?
Looks that way or maybe to much rear brake bias. Either way the OSR locks causing the spin.
Please build me one of these :(nice setup man
this is giving me anxiety and i'm not even THERE :( i'm trying not to scream at my computer screen :(
Sheesh, makes me appreciate your videos some more. Hopefully you don’t have to go through that sorta BS all the time.
