14:10 It's funny-Richie mentioned this back in 2005. Not sure if we’ve taken it a bit too far since then. In today’s electronic music scene, there seems to be an oversaturation of producers and DJ's, heavily influenced by social media and its promotion of short attention spans, resulting in a flodding of tracks by various producers sounding generic. However, the truly exceptional releases, especially in the minimal genre, can still only be found exclusively on vinyl in my view - unless of course it's not even being released ... :)
I remember having many of these dvd in Berlin mitte second hand shops for free. Yes, it was free!!! i missed this Berlin 2005! Maria ostbahnof, bar 25, old tresor, wmf!!!
It's interesting, how different their directions are now, while in fact Ricardo is still doing his thing, more or less. Great to look at both retrospectively.
Ricardo didn't change much, but Riche was the one that caused today due to his involvement in developing technology which allowed basically anyone to call themselves a DJ. Don't get me wrong, i don't blame him but just summing the things up. I don't believe he wanted today to happen in this way, but all great things and inventions get hijacked by not talented ones sooner or later
@@mikoleb-bt8fr Do you mean Traktor? Most DJs (including Ricardo) play CDJs anyway, so it's Pioneer to blame, which I personally would stay away from. It's not technology, that makes people greedy, blunt, mediocre, but our weakness, playing tricks with our mind. Technology is just an impression.
thank you so much for the tips, I didn't touch the audio as the file comes from 2005, just reduced a bit the dB, this said I've checked on FCPX and the DeEsser feature is available so I'll use it to enhance the next ones, thank you again for the cool advice, merciiiii! 🌞
OMG, hardly never ever listened to such a worthless bullshit since the legendary DJ WOODY Interview at the Loveparade...Aber eure Darkroom Sets im Berghoim sind wirklich legendär... Deshalb nennt ihr es persönlich auch nurnoch eure privste After-Aua...
Villalobos is much more talented, interesting and down to earth than Hawtin. Richie has a lot of good records, but mostly from the 90s and early 2000s. Villalobos music is pure art till this day.
it would be funny, or intersting to say the least, to have the same interview, 20 years after
@@MrDarthSeriousmixes soooo much 🤩🤓
Haha..das wäre wirklich sehr cool.
Yes totally but they can't because they are the opposite 😂
So grateful that I was able to experience these times.

@@MogulProductions I so agree 🌞
So you got the vinyl?
Or even the even more rare super exceptional tracks that was not even made.
So glad to have this on RUclips without the German dubbing. Thank u so much for re uploading. Always wanted to hear this! X

Richard "Bruno" Villalobos
The godfathers of business techno🤓
Hahaha Villalobos & business techno? 🤣 give it a rest mate. You probably couldn’t identify a single track Ricardo plays in his sets
@ Dont take it personal. Its only business….techno😉
Great interview, just an audio comment: You should have used a De-Esser on Hawtin microphone, and also in general a bit of De-Reverb
