That is so true! First of all, it's ALWAYS the husband or wife. Second of all.... they're always the only person who isn't interviewed about the crime! So it's super obvious!
I think the best true crime episode I've ever seen was the 20/20 on the McStay family. Because I didn't realize going into it that they didn't know who did it yet. So they interviewed the whole "cast of characters," and then when I googled a follow-up, it was one of the people who had been in the 20/20 show! My jaw dropped open, because that never happens!!!
(Although of course murder is wrong and the whole thing was super sad. But.... you know.... if it already happened ANYWAY, then it was fun to find out in that way instead of the typical obvious missing-interviewee way)
@@jennhoff03 have you seen the Lauren Giddings case? I think Dateline covered it. The fellow law student, Stephen McDaniel, chopped her up and put her in the garbage cans around the alley. The garbage had not been collected as intended for some reason, so as McDaniel is talking to a reporter, he learns the body parts were discovered. He tries to pretend his shock is over the fact that his neighbor, friend, and coed is actually not missing, but dead,. Actually, he was freaking out bc she was found. The truth is that that she didn't really know him except in passing, but he was obsessed and their graduation was to be later that month, so he only had a little time left as her neighbor. He stalked, raped, killed, and dismembered her before she could graduate and move home. He would inject himself into the searches and interviews, thinking she would never be found. Never anticipated that the trash wouldn't be picked up.

I’m Keith Morrisons biggest fan. Not just admiration but also respect for his amazing coverage of the Dateline cases. As opposed to 20/20, Dateline has a better way to cover a story to be absorbed and fully experienced by the audience. And Keith Morrison is one of the reasons I’ll never miss an episode of Dateline. He shows compassion, empathy and humility on his interviews. And he’s super handsome on top of that. Physique, demeanor and voice!!!
Could you imagine if Kirsten Bell was in the same room with Keith Morrison AND a sloth??? Her head would explode!

I'm a Dateline, true-crime enthusiast and have marveled at Keith for many decades. Not a terrible fan of Kristen, persay, but she was hella charming and surprisingly funny. She gave Keith the business! Good sportsmanship from both. Especially Keith. 😂

From an Afrikaans speaking point I think Keith Morrison reads a lot hence his eloquent English language that he can play with. He reminds me of David Attonborough. Good language is an excellent tool and then of course Keith uses his brilliant sense of humour during his correspondence ....... just love watching Keith 😀👍

OMG, Put Keith Morrison, Morgan Freeman Bill Kurtis The Late Robert Stack each taking turns reading a paragraph of a bedtime story to me. Their voices, even telling you about the most gut wrenching of things, has such a soothing affect on me like "everything is OK"

Kristen is so talented! Keith has a great personality and one of the best voices ever. His unique cadence doesn't sound like Christopher Walken but is a similar unique genre.

Keith also said Matthew bought him a car in a different interview, talked about driving him to hockey pratice.
