The first bracelet I've ever made was the cheveron it looked so bad but with a little bit of practice and over a year of making bracelets I just made my first alpha. I've been making bracelets since I was 7 and I am about to turn 38 on my birthday in a few days (June 23) and I prefer backwards knots! I think it's because I am left handed because you are right handed and prefer forward knots. I wonder if I prefer FB or BF knots?! And I wonder which you prefer as well?! If we are opposite on those knots too, then I think it's safe to say that it has to do with if you are left handed or right handed. Also, congrats on your book!!! I am so happy for you and I am so proud of you! That is definitely a great accomplishment and also something you can be very proud of! Give yourself a hug and a pat on the back from me! I would love to give you a hug in person but there is a huge, vast ocean separating us lol! Much love and hugs from me in the US, to you in the UK!

I remember when I started making bracelets and I started with alpha’s. I familiarized myself with both knots at the same time so I don’t prefer one over the because I learned one first but because of the fact I’m right handed and the forward knot just makes more sense to me plus you read from left to right so my slightly autistic brain gets confused making backward knots going from right to left

I see in most videos that people just tape the thread to a table and go at it, but does a loom help at all? Or is it just an item that looks like you need it? If anyone has any answers let me know!
