It has been a little over a year since this video has been uploaded and I am so shocked by how much attention and popularity this video continues to gain. Because of the similar comments I am still seeing that had been mentioned when it first came out as well, I am going to reiterate and add on to last year's community post: When I uploaded this video, I had NO idea it would be watched by so many knotters with different levels of experience. There were (and still are) a lot of people viewing who are very new to bracelets and I didn't originally expect that, so I didn’t slow down and didn’t explain things clear enough. It is worth mentioning that simple does not equate to beginner, though, and a lot of people have been getting that confused--I never said in the video that this was a beginner tutorial. But for those of you who are new to bracelets and were unable to understand what I was teaching, I sincerely apologize. Not every single video of mine will be beginner friendly, but I do take many comments I receive into consideration and I am ALWAYS trying to do better with teaching. I welcome constructive criticism (NOT *HATE*) and even encourage it, so please don't hesitate to leave a comment on my videos. Your feedback and input is super important because it helps me learn how to do better moving forward.

Well, I can finally make friendship bracelets now! I always had a hard time figuring out the knots but this video cleared it up great for me! Thanks so much for his helpful tutorial! ❤
I found this turtorial to be exceedingly easy to understand, and very well explained. You did an excellant job! Thank you so much! I am very pleased with how my bracelet turned out (as a beginner). 😊😊😊😊
I used to make these every year at summer camp. One year I had requests from over 10 people and I was only at camp for 2 weeks. I was knotting like crazy.
This is honestly the first video I've seen that's been super informative. I've always wanted to do a Chevron type pattern but have tried and gotten frustrated with other videos, so thank you so much!!! This video has given me hope that I can do this lol
I love this pattern so much. I've made like 10 of them LOL. Just watched the video again to refresh my memory because I'm making one for my dad's girlfriend. (BTW, I wasn't a *total* beginner when I first made this pattern, but I had only done really basic ones before this, and *I* think you explain the pattern really well.)
I appreciate you coming back again! 😊 I’ve taken 90% of the old comments with a grain of salt because I NEVER expected this video to go so viral that people who had never even made a friendship bracelet before were trying to follow along. 😅
For anyone wondering how to do the loop she did: 1. Lay out you string with one longer piece all the way to the left 2. Start at the middle of your string and make forward backwards knots as far as you prefer 3. Use the longer string and only the longer string That's really it I guess. It's not that complicated
I use to make these a lot years ago. I sold them at Grateful Dead shows. The biggest one I ever made went from my wrist almost to my elbow. It was rainbow colors and so beautiful! It was 8 bracelets made into one. Great tutorial
I also think it’s too long, however I say 30-40” now (or 1 meter) because people have complained pretty frequently in the past that my recommendation (I personally measure closer to 32-34”) is not enough string. 🤷♀️ But now I try to be super mindful about stressing the importance of measuring out for what will work best for the length you want your bracelet to be.
Great video, easy to follow. Only thing I'd recommend, when tying the two strings together of the same color in the middle, be sure to do a forward-backward knot or a backward-forward knot, not a backward or forward knot. This is to make sure the bracelet doesn't go off to one side slightly.
I have tried the exact same pattern in a different video and it was super difficult and this video was so easy to follow the colors you chose are amazing Thank you😁❤💎
Katie Robinson you should try going back to basic knot. Because when there’s two strings of he same color it doesn’t matter which knot since it will look the same no matter what
Love this video and found it quite easy to follow! I'm relatively new to friendship bracelet making - the only one I could do before was a candy-stripe one which is pretty basic. If you’re folding the strings in half then those numbers are doubled for each color but I know I didn’t explain that very well haha.
