Just an update the electric and water was fixed since making this video, thermostat was fine but a relay went bad, the leak was from a rusted out fitting which was replaced... and the truck is still for sale as is for 2k...If interested hit me up on IG, thanks

Depending on what the deductible is for ur homeowners insurance policy is, u may want to look into submitting a claim on ur insurance. Ur insurance me be able to reimburse u for the repair and the water bill, if it is within ur policy coverages. Just something to consider!
My mother, who lived until she was 96, taught us that each day is like a new beginning, a chance to start over. If you think about life like that, it will bring hope in your day to day, and hope is everything. I could not live my life without hope. I think that like you said we are all on a roller coaster but you know once you hit the bottom you are going to rise up again. My condolences to you and your family on the death of your cousin, I am very sorry.

Look for a tree bark called Cancerina in a Latin herb store, you can make a tea from it. Also Graviola and Essiac tea. I know many who went into remission and cancer never returned. I pray this comment reaches you so you can help your dad.

In the last year I have learned how to fix thermostats, faucets, toilets, tile and drywall. All out of necessity, and all in my spare time. Nobody helped me. So I hope I can help someone else in a similar bind - sometime down the road. Then maybe they will get the tub done without having to go a week with no showers, like I did!

there are alarms letting you know there is flooding happening, maybe you can get one for the basement.
Dude go get a nest thermostat for 120 and install it yourself. Its super easy and there are RUclips videos. You putting it in yourself will cover the extra cost of the better thermostat over the cheap one the electrician will install.
turns out the thermostat was fine the relay went bad...$150 for parts $100 for the labor..

Your truck probley has an electrical short somewhere along the line. There a monster to trace. Best thing is to get a toggle switch for the positive side of your battery.

I work for my local water company. Be happy you have baseboard heat in this situation because we see flooded basements and crawlspaces take out furnaces all the time.

Your ability to pause and reflect positively and optimistically even in the middle of all those obstacles is very admirable. This is something I always try to do but sometimes in the heat of the moment is tough to do. You’re telling me, my wife’s car blew an engine just 8k miles out of warranty 2 weeks ago. It was 80 degrees when it happened. 2 weeks go by and the parts are on back order because of this pandemic. So now it’s hovering around freezing and the weather sucks because rain/snow.

This year I rolled my 1972 Ford F100 truck on the drivers side going up a hill after a heavy rain. Insurance didn’t really pay out and I’m not going to give up on the truck, so I’ll have to find a way to pay for it. My daily driver, a 2009 Chrysler Sebring was totaled after that. I was driving and someone hit a deer going the opposite way and it landed on my windshield and roof totaling it. My grandpa died this year as well. It’s definitely been a year.

Jeff see if you cam get a dehumidifier, Buy or rent or brow one. It is a great way to make sure you do not have a mold problem which can be almost impossible to stop.

That sucks man... just gotta look up towards those great times coming up. I've had 3 years of depressing luck before 2020. Oddly enough, 2020 has been one of my better years in the last decade. I've become debt-free, my credit scores (FICO, not VantageScore) are in the mid-700's, I bought stock in Apple back in April when the stock took a huge dive because of COVID (in which I made out really nicely from), I've overcome procrastination and I'm finishing some long-awaited projects, and I got my kids back in my life after that ugly divorce. So yeah, 2020 has been a real good year for me. I seem to be one of those lucky few who didn't crash hard from it all.
Maybe it's just me and the fact that I have followed this channel almost from the beginning, but I feel like listening to a friend with these storytimes. Which is even more strange considering the fact that I'm on the other side of the globe.

Hi, ithink a mini split would be a way cheaper method of heating your home (also cooling in the summer). Sorry for asking, but how much do you pay per month on electricity (just curious) cuz those electric baseboard heaters are expensive to run... Also there are mini splits out there that you can install yourself and as an added bonus if you move you can take it with you.

My condolences for your cousin Jesse, I'm so sorry. I can definitely relate. My niece overdosed & died a few years ago & she was only 20 Yr. She overdosed on Xanax & a few other things. Her boyfriend overdosed the same night that she did but the paramedics were able to revive him but not her. Anyway, I'm so sorry for your loss. Keep your head up Jeff & stay positive ! ❤️

If you dont drive the truck everyday just disconnect the negative battery terminal and it'll stay charged.
Unforutnatly thats not enough the cold discharges it so it should be taken inside for store as well...but the truck is now running again, it was a loose wire...

I am an addict..... I am lucky to be alive and I nearly lost my best friend recently due to heroin being laced with fentanyl....
I still struggle daily and smoke and drink more than I should, but I haven't touched the heroin since that last incident.

Depending how old the thermostat is, their may be a tube of mercury in there that gets stuck. Sometimes just tapping it with your finger can make it work again just fine

Instead of starting the truck everyday, buy a trickle charger. The battery won’t die on a trickle charger I can guarantee that.

Just curious, have you thought about getting a battery tender for the truck battery? That way it stays fully charged and you can guarantee that that's not a problem. Also could be good to keep for your car afterwards if for whatever reason it needs to sit for a little while. They're typically about $40 on amazon. Just a thought.
