    True grit from the Korean ladies. I suspect they won't recover in time to be playing in tomorrow's final, but they have proven their courage and resilience by playing through the pain barrier. I hope they recover well from their injuries by the time the tournament calendar starts again next year.

    韓国の選手はとてもうまい、強いです。負傷していても志田松山ペアと戦う根性も凄いし尊敬します。志田、松山ペアは負けたのかもしれないですが、恥じることはない。この試合を誰もが忘れないし最高に可愛かったです。

      When they failed to recognise for ages that Lee was on one leg and just fritted away all those points in the last set, well the Japanese pair didn't deserve to win that one.

      I could only watch the match here and there. But weren't shida and Matsuyama down 15-5 in the third before problems started to set in for the Koreans. It was too much for Japanese to catch up even against an injured pair.

    Matsuyama making some really unforced errors in the third 😢 if only a bit more patience. Sad Japanese couldn't capitalise on the obvious fatigue of Baek Lee

    The Japanese coach needs to train their players better. Work on a long drop that is closer to the net, not way over to the service line. When the opponent plays a long drop, they need to convert to a drop back away from their opponent. They need to be in a mix double position to be offensive. Clearing defense is not going to earn them point.

    • @Calamari35
      @Calamari35 Год назад

      Agreed. Passive play to wear down your opponent with superior stamina can work, but not always optimal. Especially late game against injured opponents. More tight drops!

    Keduanya punya taktik& strategi yg sama. Cerdas, Ga beri celah utk bola tanggung. Semua dg sekuat tenaga main sabar dg bola2 tinggi jauh ke blkg dan curi2 peluang utk dropshot maupun smash kejutan. Kmarin klo Apri wkt lwn Liu/Tan Ning gunakan strategi sabar sprti ini mrk kan bs save energy & bs lbh tenang dan cermat bikin frustrasi lwn. Kmrin lbh memaksakan diri sedikit terlalu reactive bnyk smash ingin buru2 mematikan, dan bnyk bola setengah krn mungkin strategi kecoh jg. moga aj next bs jd kan evaluasi & pelajari strategi lawan jg.

      They just don't want to win. When two opponents are both injured and step on each other, they do not finish but just lift the ball high. They gave victory to the other side.

    Lee continues to stall and the umpire lets her get away with it. And Matsuyama and Shida lose to injured opponents because they refused to play aggressive attack at late game. Never has a match made me so angry. What an embarrassing display all around. Baek and Lee better be ready to play till the end tomorrow, otherwise Matsu and Shida should have moved on

    • @UkjACk300
      @UkjACk300 Год назад +9

      That's what I'm thinking. Like what is the point? I understand if it's a small injury you can probably recover from but both seemed heavily injured at the end. What exactly is their plan here? Hope they get better within a day to maaaaybe maybe win against world no 1 who have had a rest day plus who are probably not going to struggle too much today? They will be relentless tomorrow. Yes, the Japanese didn't do well in taking advantage of the situation but I believe in terms of physicality alone they would've had higher chances. If we get a walkover tomorrow I'm gonna be mad. It would seem like they just did it for a 'ha, gotcha' for the Japanese.
      I do admire Lee's fighting spirit, after having seen so many of her long games, but with this one I really don't get it. No one would've been mad if they retired. I was just worried the whole time and they were lucky they didn't get hurt more. I admire every woman on this court, so I do hope the Koreans will get better & recover and the Japanese will work on their mental, as Matsu did seem discouraged throughout the whole match.

    • @Calamari35

      @@UkjACk300 My thoughts exactly. Couldn't have said it better. I'm a fan of Matsuyama/Shida and I've never had anything against Baek/Lee either, but this just wasn't it. I do hope the Koreans aren't badly injured and wish them full recovery, but seriously if it's that bad just concede gracefully and let the pair with a better chance move forward (easy for me to say with the stakes involved, I know). I guess we'll just have to wait and see now
