The Japanese girls produced a couple of really bold cross court smashes to close out the third set. That's putting it on the line for the win. The cross court smash can be a huge surprise in doubles, but it can also open you up to the straight defensive drive reply that will strand both partners. Takes guts to go for that with so much on the line, and make it stick.
Since 19-16 Peder/Rytter pair, who saw the gold medal, was nervous. On the other hand, the pair of Taka/Matsu, was reopened. Finally, looking at the three groups who went up to the same stage, You can see how small the Japanese pair was.
The best WD Olympics Final: 1. 2004 Athens: Yang Wei/Zhang Jiewen vs Gao Ling/Huang Sui 2. 2016 Rio: Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi vs Kamilla Rytter Juhl/Christinna Pedersen 3. 1992 Barcelona: Hwang Hye-young/Chung So-young vs Guan Weizhen/Nong Qunhua 4. 1996 Atlanta: Ge Fei/Gu Jun vs Gil Young-ah/Jang Hye-ock 5. 2020 Tokyo: Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu vs Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan 6. 2008 Beijing: Lee Hyo-jung/Lee Kyung-won vs Du Jing/Yu Yang 7. 2000 Sydney: Ge Fei/Gu Jun vs Huang Nanyan/Yang Wei 8. 2012 London: Tian Qing/Zhao Yunlei vs Mizuki Fujii/Reika Kakiiwa
What do you want them to do, call the japanese pair four years later and admit it was a double hit? They lost the match anyway. It's up to the umpires to spot and judge double hits, it's not the players job.
Both the Danish pairs are cheaters specially Juhl, she has got that cheaters look and u can clearly see it in her eyes. They were arrogant, full of attitude and overconfidence. Good that they lost and I m happy for the Japanese pair who kept their cool, humbleness and were down to earth. Well they deserved that victory!!!!!

Ganbatte !
Takahasi smash return and tap shot by matosutoto are amazing
Since 19-16
Peder/Rytter pair, who saw the gold medal, was nervous.
On the other hand, the pair of Taka/Matsu, was reopened.
Finally, looking at the three groups who went up to the same stage,
You can see how small the Japanese pair was.
これ見たかったやつ!!!
やっぱ最後のシーンは何回見ても痺れるな!!
バドミントン全く興味なかったけど課題に追われてるときたまたま真夜中にこれ見て今ではバドミントン大好きなった!笑

So happy the Japanese won, even though I'm Dane
Yups, and that's proof that unsportsmanlike won't be accepted in everywhere
Yup
Very happy for the Japanese players. They both are one of my favorite players.
Misaki matsutomo/ataka takahashi my fav player..the best players
This match is amazing to watch.
Yeahh i watch it again and again
@@fandias7812 me too
I really like this japanese pair... they played so well, and so humble
1:03:07 Danish pair need to watch this and square up. That WAS a double hit
What do you want them to do, call the japanese pair four years later and admit it was a double hit? They lost the match anyway. It's up to the umpires to spot and judge double hits, it's not the players job.
@@vixter33 yeah, and they celebrated on that point 😝👀
@@vixter33 i know it's umpire job to deciding. But, at least don't celebrate on point that you know it's fault. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@vixter33 There are such things like sportsmanship and honesty.
at point 19 showing too eager to win but end up crying... and nail into memory for life. Great Japanese!!
Well they deserved that victory!!!!!
please explain how you can tell she has a cheater look
@@Incarnate-1 I can't describe it, but I agree with Dusky. Strongly negative first impression of her, and given her teammate clearly lied about the double-touch, it's likely an accurate impression.
정말 멋진 경기였습니다
금메달의 주인공
축하드립니다
I'm looking forward to Yuki Fukushima and Sayaka Hirota (my idols) to play in the Olympic. ♥♥♥
第3セットの16ー19からの5連続得点はやばいです。😮😮😮賞賛に値します。ありがとう😊ございます。
Hope that was a humbling experience for the Danes, esp. Pederson.
Every time I watch this, I can't help but shed tears and feel so proud of the Japanese pair. They played so beautifully and remained calm and composed. Salute to Misaki Matsutomo and Ayaka Takahashi. The Danish thought they could bully their way to a win, but the Japanese kept their cool and didn't break down even when their opponents got on a roll. They showed divine courage and mental strength, making bold moves when down 19-16.
Much respect to japan. They put a lot of heart and effort to win.
at 3rd game when 16-19, misaki saved 3points become back to level 19-19 and 2 points more it was sayaka saved the points, what a relieve. also misaki is genius when she saves that 3 points
respect to both sayaka and misaki. they deserved, they have strong mental ality from 16-19 into 21-19
You mean ayaka lol
Sayaka is her sister lol
I love misaki.she is so sweet
Me never got tired of watching last 5 point😍😍😍😘😘😘🥰🥰
1:13:50 danish pair stuck at 19 points..glad that Japanese pair win 😍🤲🏻 best attitude will always win ❤️
