This is just using the Petrucci NeuralDSP Archetype plugin. It is really good if you have a computer and interface capable of running it without much latency. Pickups are the original Dimarzio Steve’s Special on the bridge and Air Norton on the neck position. I personally feel the newer Rainmaker on the neck would be a better option; plan on swapping it at some point. I still prefer the Steve’s Special on the bridge over the new Dreamcatcher as it retains more of the top end; you also get more tone flexibility by playing with the tone knob.

I'd like to mention a short list of players that every modern guitarist should at least know: Guthrie Govan, Max Ostro, Ichika Nito, Joshua Meader, and of course, the great Matteo Mancuso. There are so many more. It's an amazing time to be alive, surrounded by such incredible players and with the accessibility of RUclips. In the past, I had to listen to a track painfully a thousand times before I could figure out a measure of a song. We are truly in a golden era for music, and the growth I've seen is exponential.
