@Zachary Erickson If you were holding the controller and chose to kill the monsters, your the one committing genocide. Chara was the observer who thought life was about killing. Not to mention they are just a reminder of what you've done.
After seeing the title, I immediately went, "Rose from Legend of Dragoon". That character had an interesting backstory and one that I would love to see realized. Never gonna happen though.
There was the Wingly War, we could have a prequel game where the group meet, get their Dragoon Spirits, and then fight in the war. Maybe increase the total fight party members or be able to swap at any time.
Vergil deserves his own game. He’s playable (and a damn EXCELLENT playable, at that) and he has a couple of unique cutscenes, but his “Story Mode” is always just him running through Dante’s/Nero’s stages! You could argue that we got this to an extent with V in DMC5, but as great as V is, he’s not quite the same as Vergil. There are several huge chunks of the Blue Devil’s story left untold, moreso than his twin’s, even if you figure in the DMC3 prequel manga (which was left unfinished anyway). It would be no big stretch to make a prequel game built on him getting into contact with Arkham and finding and releasing the seven demons acting as Pillars to seal the Temen-ni-gru away from the world, or even put him in an entirely new story preceding the manga or his time in Fortuna City. Give Dante and Nero a rest and give Vergil a real opportunity to be the protagonist for once, not just a spiffier reskin of his brother and son!
Oh man, I definitely hope we do get a Cortex game bc I remember finding out about Cortex Chaos and thinking about how cool it was, hell even now I think it's cool and I am writing down some ideas about how the game would be like... Doubt I'll ever actually get around to making it since I got 0 coding or 3d modelling skills though I am learning how to use Dreams on my ps4 to at least make an attempt... As for Waluigi I feel like since Wario's games are all about getting rich which is basically a warped version of Mario collecting coins on his quests to save the princess maybe Waluigi would have something with ghosts/boos? Like a reverse Luigi's mansion where you help the ghosts haunt places and steal whatever you find once whoever lives there runs away terrified... Though that stealth game you suggest is also cool, a tall and lanky Waluigi trying to hide from a toad guard would definitely be a sight to behold...
I know it won’t happen because the company went kaput, but, I still yearn for a day when a Mario & Luigi game is made with Wario & Waluigi as the new partner/protagonists along with Mario & Luigi. Have them use the X and Y buttons whilst M&L use the A and B buttons. There’s a lot of potential for super moves as well with them two and it would be awesome to play. #More4Waluigi
I'm surprised he didn't once mention that Cortex was a playable character for a decent portion of Crash TwinSanity. Heck, we even learned his school age backstory and the main villains were due to Cortex himself.
On the subject of new games with alternative playable characters that should have their own game, can I give a shout-out to Rivet from *Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart* as an honourable mention? Seriously, who WOULDN'T want that adorable and also awesomely badass character to have their own game? Better way to represent someone with the physical disability of missing an arm than what EA tried to do. *SHOTS FIRE!*
I don't think lack of effort wasn't the problem with Cyberpunk. The Developers were working their asses off to get something halfway playable out in the time the higher ups gave them.
Waluigi actually has a really good fan game called Psycho Waluigi, and I believe it was Miyamoto himself who said that he’d love to see a game where Waluigi had to cheat to win
I think a Waluigi spy gane would be fun especially if you have parts/areas that are somehow related to the other games he has been a background character in. For example hes undercover at a tennis match. Add the camp of some of the older Bond films and you would have a solid game. For Zelda that's a hard one, tou could do a lot with her. I kinda feel like something like the Kings Quests games would be interesting since it's more story and puzzle focused.

A beat em up Waluigi game where you hunt down other High ranking characters and original characters to build your own empire with multiple endings (Basically Wario World + Luigi's Mansion) would make the perfect Waluigi game. Or atleast a fresh start
I think the problem with Waluigi is the same one Ms. Pac-Man has. Neither character was created by the company most associated with them. So maybe if Camelot stopped making sports games and decided to put the character they created into a sort of heist game with everything that entails, we would finally have the Waluigi game everyone wants. Personally one of my top choices would be Ashley from the Warioware Series. I remember seeing a Windwaker Mod that replaces Toon Link with Ashley and alters the world and items, and it made me really want a 3D Ashley Game with a weird wacky spooky world.
I think a puzzle game of Waluigi going around causing trouble by doing minor misdeeds in a Untitled Goose Games sort of way would suit him pretty well.
This is phrased like that game was the best possible game with Zelda as the main character. Are you seriously trying to say that that game proved that Zelda shouldn't be the protagonist of a Zelda game?
There actually was originally going to be a Cortex game made by Traveler’s Tales as a semi-follow-up to Crash Twinsanity, but it ended up being cancelled after Twinsanity didn’t perform as well as Universal had hoped. Hopefully we get one sometime in the future though, since I quite enjoyed playing as Cortex in Crash 4.
I desperately need a game about Zeke from Xenoblade 2. When we meet him, he's just some goofball with a big sword and a pet turtle, who goofs himself out of the two fights he initiates with the party... Until the 3rd fight, where he gets serious, and it's revealed he's essentially the world's strongest swordsman, told to the party by the second strongest, Morag... We do get some backstory here and there, but nothing really substantial... After he got exiled, he's been a wandering swordsman for like 15 years (he's 25 by the time we meet him)... So I'd like to know about that; his adventures, how he got so strong, how he escaped that near-death experience, and weather or not the Eye of Shining Justice is real or just a post-game power up...
A wild idea I have for Waluigi is to make a New Wario World game that works similarly to Super Mario World. There can be some random power ups that can make Wario into a swole brick house or Waluigi into the most absolute chaotic being than can purposely “glitch” the game (like making him into a stick man or a piece of Picasso artwork).
I'd actually quite like a Metal Gear Rising game starring Quiet, using a system similarly to Platinum's Vanquish, and instead of a "Cut" tool, she'd have Hole Punching Tools of various sizes.
I feel that Silver has solid potential for a unique gameplay style. I’ve played around with the idea of making a fangame myself based around him, but I need to get better at gamedev first, lol
Forget Waluigi. The Mario character who really needs his own spinoff is Bowser. He was the star in Bowser's Inside Story but that game was part of the Mario & Luigi series. I want to see a game that is designed from the ground up to focus on Bowser.
There are two versions of that I'd really want - A dungeon keeper style Bowser Kingdom management sim, with maybe some Pikmin/Overlord esque combat, and - and this is weird and I'm probably the entire audience for this - a visual novel about bonding with your son. Depending on if they wanted to lean into the Evil Tyrant personality they use in the mainline Mario games or the Good Dad personality they lean into when using Bowser and Jr as the mascots for the parental control features (and which have started spilling into the spinoff games whenever Bowser and Jr wind up interacting)
@@charliep7112 The fans. Giving Waluigi his own game would be as hard as giving shy guy his own game. That fact he was never involved in Warioware is proof that Nintendo doesn't care for Waluigi.
I think they should take a kind of tingle approach with Waluigi. They now have a pretty constant theme of portrayign him as some sort of wannabe casanova with the roses and such. They could do a weird dating/follower collection game with a Nintendo twist. Like an overlord type game where waluigi collect minions.
A Metroid game where you play as Dark Samus would be awesome. It doesn't have to be he hunting down Samus, or go the bland, conventional "being made of pure evil gains appreciation for the gift of life" route. Dark Samus took on Space Pirates and discovered the Dark Aether. That is a gold mine of backstory. Plus, if she needs to be in the story, Samus _herself_ could appear as a boss. We don't need to kill her, contrive the story to make it so one can't live without the other, it could be a secret superboss. And with Metroid Dread coming out, a darker, possibly even more eldritch-style Metroid game would be bonkers.
I played Crash Bandicoot 4 It's About Time and I wouldn't mind a spin-off game where you primarily play as Dingodile. Between him, Tawna and Cortex, Dingodile is my favorite character out of the three extra characters to play as in Crash 4.
For Waluigi: I'm thinking a child-friendly version of "Destroy All Humans". Waluigi gets pulled into an alternate universe (or something) where everything is all cutesy and the good guys have won & yada-yada... only for Waluigi to show up out of no where and start wrecking EVERYTHING while he tries to figure out how to get home (and for the sake of wrecking stuff too), accidently/unintentionally/haphazardly allying with the AU's villains in the process (while ignoring said villains 99% of the time regardless).
I would've loved a Handsome Jack spinoff that revolves around building up his armies and actually showed him in a more human light after his fall from grace and into power.
The idea of a Cortex game reminds me of Dr. Muto for the PS2. It wasn't necessarily a good game, but it was enjoyable and shows that a game with a mad scientist protagonist has merit. I could see a Cortex game being kind of a cross between Dr. Muto and Ratchet and Clank with some Metroidvania elements, a semi-open world that you explore using weapons and gadgets that you "invent" yourself.
Another fun metal gear idea is a prequel co-op about the boss and her unit and how they became heroes during WW2 and invented spec ops something closer to an old rainbow 6 game except instead of finding a place to hide and switching to the next character all the playable characters are controlled by your buds around the world online they could even create a semi competitive speed running system where they put up the different missions and difficulty golden eye style and have different difficulty and modifiers like maybe a mode where detection causes instant loss so you could have like easy difficulty fast clear hardest difficult fast clears and total stealth hardest difficulty clears on solos up to 6 player coop On top of a fun canon story with different play styles and mission objectives for each of the cobra unit
Honestly, I think a Ganondorf-centered game would be interesting to do. Maybe shake things up a bit and make it so Ganondorf is the hero, protecting Gerudo Valley. I would love a Zelda game where the trio all switch their roles. Maybe even Link is the kidnapped one, Zelda is the bad guy, and Ganondorf is the hero?
Sadly I doubt that’ll happen since if the BS excuse for why Link can’t be female is it’d “ruin the balance of the Triforce,” then I doubt they’d go as far as to change each triforce-holders archetypes as well.
I can remember a few videogames spin offs that had a side character become the protagonist. only a few though. Shadow the Hedgehog (Shadow the Hedgehog) Final Fantasy: Dirge of Cerberus (Vincent Valentine) Metal Gear Solid 2 (Raiden) (not sure if this counts though, since this was Raiden's debut game) Metal Ggear Rising (Raiden) (if MGS2 doesn't count, then this probably shouldn't either) Super Princess Peach (Princess Peach)
Here's an idea: Remember how Sakamoto said Dread would be the end of Samus's Metroid adventure? Well, maybe now they an make a game centered around someone in the Federation, a new recruit of sorts that doesn't know how corrupt the Federation really is, but slowly starts piecing it together as the game progresses. Think of it as a more narrative driven Federation Force, but more focused and none of the co-op.
Can't say I have an idea for a Waluigi game, but I have a mind for a game that would put Waluigi into the spotlight. A game starring Luigi and Daisy on a journey to rescue Mario after he's disappeared going to rescue Peach again. It'd be a cross of platforming with team based mechanics as the two would have different skills and you could swap who's in the lead. Then you could also have town segments where you talk to people and try to figure out what's going on and what to do next, with the ultimate plot twist being Waluigi is behind everything. He'd periodically show up in the game as a joke boss initially, until he becomes the main antagonist, even finding a way to usurp Bowser. I would call it either Super Luigi/Daisy Duo or Super Luigi/Daisy Detective Agency. Pretty much the whole gist is the game would focus on all the Mario characters that always get shoved to the secondary roles in favor of the traditional Mario faces.
I know Waluigi won't be on the list, but I just imagine that a Waluigi game should be a genre-breaking experience that harkens back to other past Mario/Luigi/Peach/Yoshi/Wario games while making itself it's own special experience in it of itself. Best part is I'm not kidding.
Now this will be fun if Waluigi was never mentioned. That or mentioned last minute and completely disregard. I haven’t got through to the day yet. Also typing Waluigi while rabbid Mario characters are on screen make me think Wario and Waluigi characters would be cool but I swear I’ve maybe seen a Wario one. Maybe.
Imo it would be really cool if one day Nintendo decided to make a racing game based on Captain Falcon. I know, it's an impossible pipe dream, but just imagine.
top ten terrifying NPC's who are actually friendly. anyone who says they didn't have a heart-attack/pee or poo their pants upon their first encounter with Clanker is a liar!
Man, I would actually love to see a Zelda game that starts of like normal but the longer the game goes on the more you realize that you aren't Link but actually Ganondorf. And by the end, he doesn't want to be the villain but is forced into the role because of how the past games and stories have been. Make him more of a tragic villain. I know it might seem cliche but I think it'd be interesting for a Zelda game.
0:36 Dude, I've been saying for at least 6 months that'd I'd like to see them try something like this with Captain Falcon, since they are so averse to making another F-Zero.
For a Waluigi, why not just make a rhythm action game? He was the antagonist of the DDR Mario game, just do that but make the best dancer in the Mushroom Kingdom the focus.
Zeldas been anywhere from absurdly powerful to quite the tactician. They are different characters, sure, but she has been shown to have quite the potential and I think the best way to handle her as a playable main character is to make her journey intersect with Link similar to how she offered him help in OOT. That way you can plainly see hes still kicking butt trying to help her out, but its in the background as Zelda does what she can. Heck, the game could be split into two with each being playable so that both sides of the story are told if they insist on Link as the main character, and she could use a different formula from his gameplay, perhaps leaning less on hearts as powerups? More a glass cannon with you picking up spells or tools as you go could work really well. Just spitballing, theres plenty to work with with her where others dont have a solid place to start from and it needs to be created from scratch, but shes got history of badasses bluntly.
Any one of these games proposed here could be a lot of fun, but the number 1 entry is something I feel genuinely deserves to happen. I sadly don't think it's gonna be in the next title, but it must happen one day.
I think you’ve got number 2 and 1 mixed up because while playing as an op magical girl named Zelda would be fun, some people tend to forget that we kind of already did, but it goes to show why Nintendo won’t make a Zelda game with Zelda being the hero playing identical as link and with voice acting that so bad it makes dingo pictures look professional, non canon, it makes perfect sense why she doesn’t have a game or why link doesn’t have a cutscene voice, we don’t want to be reminded of the dark ages
I initially disagreed with your number one, but if she could switch between being her magical self to being a stealthy ninja, that would probably be a cool game, if they did it right.
My idea for a Waluigi game. The goal would be to cheat in a bunch of sports competitions. I imagine Goose Game style segments where you find ways to sabotage your opponent before each competition, and then playing the actual sport.
Never mind having his own game, Waluigi needs any kind of bigger role, outside of sports and party game. Make him a mini boss in the main Mario games, or a sidekick role in the Wario games. Just something to expand his character
Honestly Cortex was my least liked gameplay type in Crash 4. Maybe if they went the Overlord/Pikmin route like Cortex Chaos was planned to be, or found some way so you're still the villain rather than just pitting Cortex against a more powerful villain. I would buy a Dingodile game without hesitating, though.
Ciri has a canon ending already. Her becoming Empress is the canon ending for the games according to CDPR and there is a whole other ending for fans of the books. There is perfectly fine other Witcher characters we could play with. Like how about Triss Merigold or Letho of Gulet? (Assuming you let him live in Witcher 2)
You know. The sad thing is, there are a LOT of kids and teens who would believe that opening section at this point.
I'm a 20 year old adult man and still I thought it was genuine.
20 is still pretty young, can't fault you for not knowing

If you were holding the controller and chose to kill the monsters, your the one committing genocide.
I want a Phosphora spinoff of Kid Icarus
That would be awesome!!
Sad that the Cdi games made Zelda a playable character before Nintendo did
Oh man, I definitely hope we do get a Cortex game bc I remember finding out about Cortex Chaos and thinking about how cool it was, hell even now I think it's cool and I am writing down some ideas about how the game would be like...
A waluigi heist game with a bunch of stupid items while avoiding Boo's and patrol toads could be a fun thing
Never even thought of that, that is the best idea ever omg
I'm surprised he didn't once mention that Cortex was a playable character for a decent portion of Crash TwinSanity. Heck, we even learned his school age backstory and the main villains were due to Cortex himself.
Me a week ago: “Mizuki Okiura from the 2019 game AI: The Somnium Files should get her own game”
Me, now that AI 2 has been announced: 😱😱😱🎇🎇
Yes spy game would be the best for Waluigi
You know what's so interesting, before I got past the intro of the video that's in all videos, I listed five characters myself.
Ciri was one of them.
Absolutely shocked that Sgt Johnson wasn't even mentioned.
We'll never stop bashing Metal Gear Survive huh? Well there's a reason we all hate Konami!
Nah, I've finally learned to just live with Link Monsters.
Oh wait, this is more "Kojima the Martyr" bs, ain't it?
@@nicholasfarrell5981 Link monsters were never, themselves, the problem. Master Rule 4 was, for trying to force the use of Links. With MR4 well and truly behind us, the only leftover bad taste is the Pendulum Scales being in the wrong place.
@@elijahpadilla5083 they were for me, since I was maining Ghostricks at the time. Links singlehandedly killed my Loli-ween deck, and it took me far too long to find a replacement that I could have fun with.
Top Five Surprising Sequels 2: The Surprising Sequel
Personally one of my top choices would be Ashley from the Warioware Series. I remember seeing a Windwaker Mod that replaces Toon Link with Ashley and alters the world and items, and it made me really want a 3D Ashley Game with a weird wacky spooky world.
Silver from the Sonic universe needs his own game.
“Zelda needs a game where she is the protagonist”
One already exists
Two. Zelda’s Adventure & Wand of Gammelon.
@@expendableindigo9639 Yup.
@@expendableindigo9639 I think RabbidLuigi meant an actual game by the developers at Nintendo or its subsidiaries.
Ganondorf hasn't had a chance if I remember correctly. Even Tingle had a chance
yeah but one that's not on the CDI
Top five opening stages/levels?
Does anyone know what game the clip at 8:58 is from?
I think a puzzle game of Waluigi going around causing trouble by doing minor misdeeds in a Untitled Goose Games sort of way would suit him pretty well.
The Wand of Gamelon for the CDI clearly gave Zelda the Spotlight everyone thought she deserved already
This is phrased like that game was the best possible game with Zelda as the main character. Are you seriously trying to say that that game proved that Zelda shouldn't be the protagonist of a Zelda game?
@@DaveTheVader Obviously not, the comment was extremely sarcastic lol. Everyone memes about the game and about how bad it is
@@FishyFishy_ Oh, thank Hylia ^^' RUclips really neeads something like Kappa to make written sarcasm a little more obvious.
I still think we should have a Silver the Hedgehog game. Poor dude got kinda robbed with 06 and he's been in a very odd place game wise ever since.
I feel that Silver has solid potential for a unique gameplay style. I’ve played around with the idea of making a fangame myself based around him, but I need to get better at gamedev first, lol
This one’s kind of a deep cut but I’m still holding out for that Amingo game from Capcom
If there’s one character I want to see to get his own game is Silver the Hedgehog. Manly for how Sonic 06 butchered him especially his boss fight
I do want him to get a redemption but I also don't want him to get butchered even more by another game like Forces
Ironic considering 06 is his debut game.
@@christheleavittman7080 yup
@@MaxMonado I know! Or maybe a fan made game like Sonic Mania.
Y'know, that actually makes a lot of sense, considering he's the only main hedgehog to not helm his own game.
@@Stephen-Fox The visual novel idea sounds pretty fun.
I think Waluigi could be good to star in a well crafted, good storied pinball game with level progressions and boss levels
Who's more toxic, Waluigi fans or Waluigi haters?
@@charliep7112 The fans. Giving Waluigi his own game would be as hard as giving shy guy his own game. That fact he was never involved in Warioware is proof that Nintendo doesn't care for Waluigi.
I think they should take a kind of tingle approach with Waluigi. They now have a pretty constant theme of portrayign him as some sort of wannabe casanova with the roses and such.
They could do a weird dating/follower collection game with a Nintendo twist.
Like an overlord type game where waluigi collect minions.
Well, 1 prediction come true out of 5 ain't bad considering the topic!
I have to add that the Captain Falcon idea at the start even if it was a joke actually sounds really cool.
As long as Waluigi runs a bridal boutique and is voiced by ProtonJon, I'm all for it.
Speaking of _Metal Gear Rising,_ we need a sequel to that. Maybe the discussed concept of Gray Fox fighting nanomachine powered zombies?
Shadow the Hedgehog (Shadow the Hedgehog)
Final Fantasy: Dirge of Cerberus (Vincent Valentine)
Metal Gear Solid 2 (Raiden) (not sure if this counts though, since this was Raiden's debut game)
Metal Ggear Rising (Raiden) (if MGS2 doesn't count, then this probably shouldn't either)
Super Princess Peach (Princess Peach)
Going back to Metal Gear, I would LOVE a game where you as The Boss during WWII that goes deeper into her story.
Top 5 main antagonists who turned good
Either Zelda will be escorted through all of BotW's sequel, or she will be switchable between Link.
Suggestion for list Top ten characters you love to hate
I know Waluigi won't be on the list, but I just imagine that a Waluigi game should be a genre-breaking experience that harkens back to other past Mario/Luigi/Peach/Yoshi/Wario games while making itself it's own special experience in it of itself.
Best part is I'm not kidding.
HOLY SHIT I DIDN'T THINK YOU'D DO IT
‘Wariro’ who the fuck is Warior
@@fritzy8318 You know who I meant.
Master Hand/ Crazy Hand, and they'II add in motion controIs for Ieft/right hands
Does the Happy Mask Salesman count?
Man, I would actually love to see a Zelda game that starts of like normal but the longer the game goes on the more you realize that you aren't Link but actually Ganondorf. And by the end, he doesn't want to be the villain but is forced into the role because of how the past games and stories have been. Make him more of a tragic villain. I know it might seem cliche but I think it'd be interesting for a Zelda game.

Dude, I've been saying for at least 6 months that'd I'd like to see them try something like this with Captain Falcon, since they are so averse to making another F-Zero.
If you count Smash for WiiU and 3DS as different games, Captain Falcon has now been in as many Smash games as mainline F-Zero games.
Now that danganronpa is on the switch there’s a much higher chance of Monokuma being added to smash and that would be very funny
15:01 funny how you cut the cake here XD
Has that been the same pair of Raycon this whole time? How have the batteries been holding up over the year(s)?
What game is it at 13:25?

Perfectly timed
I'm not gonna lie, I would pay actual money for a Gunvolt rhythm game starring Lumen.
Ocelot in his own game would be more MGS5 Ocelot than MGS 1-4 Ocelot.
I would pick pretty much every character from KH. Xion, Kairi, Mickey, Demyx. Everyone deserves a game
I’m amazed they didn’t make a game with Zelda as the lead when they were making the whole pusg for more equal representation in movies a while back
