Have faith in JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOR for HE SAVES ❗️ *What is the Gospel?* The true gospel is the good news that God saves sinners. Man is by nature sinful and separated from God with no hope of remedying that situation. But God, by His power, provided the means of man’s redemption in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Savior, Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of GOD, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Romans 10:9 9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. JESUS CHRIST can come anytime! Just make sure when you guys help people, your good intentions don't get abused. The way you know if your doing good, is that helping should make you feel good. It’s sad that this kind of response is considered “surprising”. I’m so glad she chose the compassionate route, and I wish her and that couple all of the best. 💜
She's literally the perfect person for this to have happened to. And during a time when a person merely existing outside of the financial system is a criminal act. Either we regulate the economy, or we let people eek out their existence however they can. This should not be happening.
"Homelessness is a real problem" here...here's a fine for helping the homeless...does anyone see the light yet? These politicians need to be removed from power...they represent theirselves and their own agendas not trying to help anyone
I like that she's willing to help but not everyone is so deserving to be treated with kindness. Some people will take advantage of that fact and exploit people. Just be aware that you should treat people with dignity and respect but don't let people or others put you in a unsafe position because it's the "nice" thing to do.

@@IslandBlaze8 Yes, the quote DOES make sense, even though the punctuation is off. Sometimes the things we want, don't happen which can be disappointing. We think it's because we've been wronged, but sometimes it is actually a blessing. For instance, maybe I really want to buy a particular house and don't get it. Then, a few weeks later I find an even better house. Or, maybe I don't get into a particular college I want to attend. But, I end up going to another one and meeting my spouse or learning about a particular field that catapults my career. So yes, that quote is very accurate.
Honestly. I know for sure , even letting them stay on the porch was a blessing as the homeless couple saw it. People have no idea what it's like finding a safe place on the street. They barely get any good sleep on the street for safety fear even if subconscious
Good job, everyone! This is what happens when compassion takes the lead and ego takes a backseat. So very happy that the homeless couple is being presented with opportunities to possibly change their circumstances. The homeowner is someone who is part of the solution rather than adding to the problem. How harmonious and very refreshing! ! ! Love in action.
This is so awesome!!!!! Hell yeah, lady!!! The homeless need more people on their side. How can anyone who literally has none of their basic needs met, be expected to climb out of the hole of poverty, illness (mental and physical), and discrimination. It’s nearly impossible without someone else to help. I watched my dad go from being a homeowner, the manager of a roofing supply sales company, and an overall great person, fall into the traps of mental illness combined with drugs and alcohol. He lost everything. He lost his job, home, all possessions, and his mind. Lived in a tent on the streets of San Diego for the last 15 years of his life, and ended up snuffing it by jumping off an overpass in El Cajon. I don’t wish that kind of pain on **anybody** he suffered for a long time, but now is at peace. RIP pops, sure do miss ya down here….
That is so nice of you. Sometimes s*** just happens. People can have a run of bad luck. It happened to me in March of this year my husband of 33 years died, the very same day the home that we rent was sold in a foreclosure auction and we, and I, got a 90 day notice. But I'm in the Bay area and I can't find a place. In 5 weeks I'm potentially going to be another one of the homeless out there. I'm up at 7:00 a.m. on Monday trying to make sure it doesn't happen but I don't think I have much control cuz no one wants to help or very few people almost no one. . . And only a ride here or there no actual help no one sitting down help me figure out what forms to fill out nothing like that... And everyone tells me I should want to keep living and I really don't. I'm going to end my life the very first day I'm homeless because there's no coming back for most and I'm shy and vulnerable and from a small town in New Hampshire I'm not going to make it on the street in San Francisco. Loss of dignity I don't even want to try.. I'll try everything I can to avoid it but if I can't it'll be the end and I'm sure I'll welcome that end by the time it comes because I have known no joy for many many years. I can't imagine ever feeling happy again...

Years ago, my child with Autism and I were kicked out onto the street. I was not a citizen at the time and could not legally work. I did not have 1 penny to my name, despite me being straight A student in my country. It took 1 person to save our lives, literally ! It is still hard at times but most certainly, kindness is what makes us human.
Dystopian story reframed as feel good. City should have put them up in a shelter. Not the responsibility of the homeowner to accommodate them. In this country, we have the resources to aid the homeless and we should.
A little bit of generosity and kindness goes a very, very long way indeed. I know for sure that the couple would be able to return the generosity and kindness to her once they’ve got the means to now support themselves financially in a stable manner. It’s all about giving and giving back that makes a huge difference in other people’s lives.
Absolutely. Once briefly homeless myself and grateful I didn't end up in the street I have been a Chelsea, Manhattan resident since 2004 and have returned to work in Corporate Law.
She will feel different when those people actually break into her house and move in and then she won't be able to kick them out due some kind of loophole.
I just lost my dad 5months ago. I lost my aunt 3 months ago and I lost my brother 3weeks ago who was also going through mental health issues and would sometimes go missing and I would have loved if he would have met someone like this in his lifetime. This made me extremely happy. I don't know this woman but she gave me a little glimpse of hope in my tunnel of darkness right now. Thank you for helping those strangers out.
Imagine sending away billions of dollars to a foreign land, when you have a hunger, homeless and job crisis right on your front porch. The government is wise in all their ways and filled with such compassion. They're not incompetent at all.
My prediction: It'll turn into a "camel's nose in the tent" situation. She is indeed kind-hearted, but very foolish. They will ask very meekly if they can come in to use the toilet. She won't have the heart to say no. Next they will ask for a shower. Then use the kitchen to prepare food. Then, when the heat gets REALLY hot, they will ask to sleep on the living room floor at night. PRESTO! She now has two new "roomies", and the "roomies" will have zero reason to move on.
More people need to be more like Liza. Instead of enforcing violations we need to come together and solve community issues rather than force people into another location only to run into the same problem.
Good intentions but as someone who deals with the homeless daily, being nice to one, more will come and expect to be treated the same and will get violent if not.

Have faith in JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOR for HE SAVES ❗️
*What is the Gospel?*
The true gospel is the good news that God saves sinners. Man is by nature sinful and separated from God with no hope of remedying that situation. But God, by His power, provided the means of man’s redemption in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of GOD, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Romans 10:9
9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
JESUS CHRIST can come anytime!
