Can't believe this place was a sleep fishing village just 30 years ago. And now, not only is this a modern metropolis, but it is a manufacturing powerhouse, making so much of what makes the world go round--unlike other big cities that tend to focus on things like finance and insurance.

Nice video. I spent a few nights in Da Fen Oil Painting Village. Now just go through customs to my destination in Humen. We did go to the airport for a flight to Xi'an. Unfortunately, I do not have friends in Shenzhen at this time.

Friendly reminder that if this was in the US or western europe it would be one of the poorest cities. It has a booming tech industry but at the end of the day the fancy buildings are really just for show as of now. Hong kong would be a better candidate for a Chinese city that could be called the most prosperous city in the world. (although we'd have to see how long that lasts with them losing their transparency and the finance giants leaving)
No wonder this genius and beautiful Mega Citys. They are not becomes and life mind rotten and crazyminded woke culture because they value and protect their old traditions since thousand of years..
