Loved your video on the Wiber Car Rental experience in Mallorca. I'm planning something similar and was wondering if you could clarify what documents I'd need as a Spanish temporary resident student with the (NIE id) with a foreign driver's license. Was there anything special you had to provide? Thanks, and I've subscribed!
thank you for your kind words. I really appreciate it. As far as the document needed, I gave them my US drivers license as ID, and a credit card to pay the full insurance cost. Foreign drivers license should be fine. I would double check that you are allowed to drive in Spain.
How much deposit is needed for car rental
@@peterjohnston4472 It depends, if you book a car with full insurance, then you will not need a deposit. Only a gas deposit. I am not sure how much deposit will be if you don't take full insurance.

Thanks for the video. Do you know about the Wikey Smart Box where you don't need to talk to the people in the counter, you just get the keys in a kiosk? I'm thinking of getting the All Inclusive where this is.
Hi neptunemike, sadly no. I didn't use their Wikey Smart Box option. It does sound like it will save a lot of time when you get to the office. Please let me know how it goes

Nice Video, Did you pay the insurance afterwards? I booked my Car without the Full Insurance just the Basic Option.. can i pay the full Insurance Cash afterwards ?
Thank you, I appreciate it. I did book the full insurance option at the rental desk. I am not 100 percent sure if you can pay the insurance in cash. However, I will find out for you.
So you can pay for insurance in cash, however you will need to leave a credit card on file for any accidentals such as fuel not being full.

@@boxeras18 No it is not necessary for the credit card to be the same name. Wiber will only use a credit card for Gas deposit and incase you get a ticket. You will get the deposit back when you return the car with a full tank.
Also are the prices same at the desk as online?
to be honest I doubt they would be the same price. I think it would be cheaper online.

I reached out to them by email to get a quote for the full insurance for the amount of days I needed the car. So I knew already what I needed to pay in the office.
Sorry but are they the best ones to hire from? Don't want to hire from scam companies that make you pay fees for stuff that you shouldn't be paying for
I don't know if they are the best. I do know that they had the best online reviews which is why I decided to try them. I can say they it was easy to rent with them, and I would do it again.
Did need to pay a deposit?
No, you won't need to pay the deposit on the car. You will need to pay an 80 euro gas deposit fee with a credit card. I am not sure if they will let you pay this in cash.
