So Awsome! This was for me the Highlight of the summit. You demonstrate how you dont need all the fancy functions. Just pure SKILL!

all i really learned was
1. blockout
2. bring out shapes
3. refine
4. refine
5. refine
6. refine
7. end
I'm a trad modeller myself, but love this digital stuff, but don't forget, folks - there's a LOT of knowledge behind this work ! A LOT .
Yes, Steve is a modern anatomy master, and a legend in the Zbrush community.

because in the intro for example I want to make an acoustic soft, but later I want to make a distortion or any other effects in that sa
loved this.
That's obviously not for beginners, but it's quite interesting and challenging way of sculpting if you're bored of making everything in default pose.
so good i love it
Great video showing the digital lump of clay evolve into a Masterpiece!!!!
well yeah if you wanna do it primarily
AMAZING

Mastery!
my laptop speakers. Any suggestions on what to do to get my soft back? I recently updated. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Beautiful
How can you even do that without symmetry i would have to do it in a t pose then rig it and pose it like this
Good job!i guess it may be even more expressively!if add tongue for exaple
the top, when I installed soft soft (restart didn't help). I have a creative softblaster z softcard. I'm assuming it has sotNice tutorialng to do
i have the sa issue..
@10:00 mark Steve says: "I'll probably re-sculpt this probably around ten different times." - I just have to say wow, what an artistic luxury to be allowed to explore the best result. If I pulled a stunt like that at my work I would be fired before I even knew what hit me.

Probably why cgi characters are so shit these days.
Heads up, the Image Line affiliate link is broken and needs to be updated.
So epic
michael i'd die for you
I'm actually curious and not trying to "throw shade" but 19.8 (rounded) million polygons? How is anybody gonna use that in production? Or is it more for artistic purposes? Or even better is there a way to simplify that level of complexity down keeping the majority of your details but eliminating unnecessary polygons?
Good job, what if this guy had a lot of armor?
ruclips.net/channel/UC_qkK5khusbZFy0-c5152bAvideos
Damn! You have a very cool voice.
tNice tutorials, good luck- you'll go far
I'm very similar to you in the sense that my models rarely look amazing until the very end. Just gotta trust the process.
you can say that again!
Great tips. How did you smooth the entire model? Was that a clay polish, or merely Shift+draw on the model?
You can try under Deformation Tab > Smooth/Polish All
windows system.. lets you focus on what your using it for only.... making soft. Enjoy the journey my new friend!!
Aw cute I remember my first sculpt as well!
Killer work, Steve! Have you ever tried working from a pre-fab model such as a DAZ Genesis 8? Those have pretty good geometry (IMO). And you can pose them in the software before Importing.
That's like giving a Mickey Mouse keyboard to Mozart.
@@kullenberg As opposed to starting with a kazoo? By the halfway point of this video, the model would be posed and he'd be ready to start adding his own sculpt on top.
Now watch me whip ! Watch me nae nae (Seriously that's the thumbnail ahah)
мощно класс мне понравилось
magestic
Would it be stupid to sculpt like this as a beginner, for practice? Obviously not expecting it to look anything like his master skills.
My brain is overheating
wow, and creapy
Can I ask your help? I have spent weeks trying to do the simplest thing in Zbrush: IMPORT MY MESH, SCUPLT ON IT (Wiithout changing number of vertices) and re-export,. Does one always have to START FROM SCRATCH? This maddening,. i will probably just end up using the Paint deformation in 3ds Max's Edit Poly ... What I used Zbrush for 25 years ago, it seems incapable of doing, has its simplest function been lost in translation? I don't know why I ask, i'm always too depressed to see if I got any answers...
yeah you should be able to do that
import, select your mesh, click and drag in the main window to draw it, press edit at the top, you can now sculpt
when you import a mesh, you import it as a ztool, you dont change the document. you need to draw that ztool into your document so you can change it.
Hahaha, No dislikes till now, WOW....
sadly
even those 14 minutes were like 10 seconds speed demo....Zero skills within me!
14minute
