I remember the first time I went on this ride I didn't know that the seats were supposed to tilt forward I thought that it was a mechanical failure and that I was gonna fall to my death
Bruh the feeling in your stomach on this is like no other... Goliath didn't even make me feel like this it's crazy lmao the video doesn't do it justice
I went today, man, was it scary! My friends and I were nervous-laughing all the way up, then she started to sing 'Ashes, ashes', we lost it after that, lol.
I rode this first when my school’s symphonic band went. My stomach was in knots. Then I proceeded to ride the Georgia Scorcher 😭 Those were the only two I rode and they are the most extreme. It ruined my whole experience. (Fun Fact: My glasses flew into the feet part while riding the Georgia Scorcher)
Ours said we’d be dropping on the count of 3. The ride operator got to “3” and we braced ourselves for the drop, but didn’t drop however. This caught us riders off guard because we actually ended up dropping on “4” 😑😆 love this ride
Things the ride operator said during my visit 1. Little Einsteins theme song - "Going on a trip on our favorite rocket ship, venture to the skieees 2. Your fate is in my hands, oh look a shiny red button DROP 3. some other stuff to torment me
When i went on the first time she said "5..4..3..2..imbsirry we are having technical difficulties" DROP! but the second time she sung this one popular song..i cant remember UGH! but yeah she dropped us. I wish i could remember the song. If u think u know please tell me
GremlinboyFH Yes I knew I couldn't have been the only one who thought this! I'm like woah that goes up that high and the video hasn't even started yet? lol
i never look down on this ride. i always keep my eyes straight ahead. ive only ridden it twice. ill ride just about any coaster, and all of the ones at this park, but acrophobia always makes me scared
this video does it NO JUSTICE! when you're on it. its sooooooooooo much HIGHER than this video shows! I went a few days ago (season pass member, idk why i added that....) but its solo freaking scary!!!!
As I was in line I saw 3 phones fly up in the air as they were going down. And when I went on the operator was like “tik tok tik tok, the clock is never going to stop. Then it dropped and my glasses flew off my face, and we found it in one of the near by bushes😂
Took my son in late afternoon when the sky was changing to look at the park and talk about people. We always look first for the big Ben clock. Get a treat before going home or GameStop. We hold on and looked at each other first. Get the fear out of the vision. Love the full experience with someone.
I rode this when I was about eleven years old. This was my first time at a theme park. My first ride was this one. He said it would be fun. I just ate before it. We went really high in the air then dropped too fast. I ended up throwing up and since we were going so fast, the throw up dispersed all over the ground and all over myself😂 but you should ride it. Definitely.
The ground in the beginning looks like the ground from an airplane. I'm like wow who wouldn't be scared on a ride that goes to the height of an airplane?
Rode this during the beginnings of a thunderstorm about a month ago. Falling faster than the rain made it look like the water droplets were flying back into the clouds. It was epic!
I always love whatever the ride operators say when you're at the top. One time I heard the girl say "3, 2, 1, oops I fooled you again. Anyways-" and then she dropped 😂
Morgan Smrekar I was terrified but one second after we dropped, I was okay. it lasts a few seconds, but its worth it. you get a warm feeling in your stomach
Great ride. Last time I rode, the operator was singing (to the tune of the Battle Hymn of the Republic) "The people on Acrophobia, go down...go down....the people on Acrophobia go down, go...DOOOOOWNNNN..."
Omg. I have been to this park around ten times, and been on this ride about 15. I'm going again tomorrow. So, the last time I went, my little 9 year old sister wanted to try this for the first time, and I was all like: "WHOA THERE, you sure?" and she wanted too still, so I went ahead and got on with her. Sadly, she began to cry when we started going up, so a guy on the other side of her helped my comfort her. Anyway, to get to the point, just before we reached the top, she said "I'm feeling a little better, cause even though I'm scared, I wanna keep my eyes open, and I realized I don't have to look down!" Those were her exact words. then the seats did the fun part where they tilt you forward and she screamed, believing we would drop. She said "Why didn't we-" and we dropped THEN. she wants to ride it again tomorrow, even though she was terrified. Do you think I should let her? I feel like she is just trying to live up to me, because I was laughing the whole time. I ride any ride or coaster I can, including Kingda Ka: one of my favorites (although, I like Top Thrill Dragster better because of it's lack of shoulder restraints.)
Rode this for the 1st time yesterday. Me & my bff got on it then got off & didn't ride b/c we were too nervous lol but we went back at the end & rode it & it was higher than I thought it'd be & that creepy voice singing nursery rhymes didn't help ease my nerves lol but I enjoyed the ride it's awesome. Glad we did it last a very good ending ride at six flags!!
I remember going up and i was freaking out and my sister was like "look at the view" And I look up for like 10 seconds and then it drops and then all I remember was dropping for 2 seconds then passing out lol
I've been on that before and when you get to the top it looks much higher and the drop seems to take a lot longer. Also, the seats are pretty uncomfortable
I rode this ride only once. Never again. I thought the video would be better than the reality. But I'm having an anxiety attack just watching this. 😨😰😱
Totally. For some reason this ride seemed scarier than Falcon's Fury at Bush Gardens which is taller, faster and the seats tilt all the way to the ground until the end of the ride. I closed my eyes on Acrophobia but I rode Falcon's Fury like a G....weird.
The announcer dude was singing a version of Joy to the World but it was like, Joy to the World, you’re going up high, i’m gonna make you flyyyyyyy...drop.
This ride was so awesome I went on it 3 times. But the scariest part is that as your up in the air the seats TILT forward so you feel like your slipping The operator, since it was during Christmas time, he sang a Christmas tune and at the end he sang, "But what goes up..must come...DOWN!" And dropped us
I went there today and acrophobia was my first ride for my first time goin to SFOG and the lady sang nananana nananana hey hey hey good and when she said bye we went down and i was freaking shaking and freaking out at the end but it was cool
I rode this once and I hate it how they taunt and tease you when you get to the top and worst of all you can't see it in the video but your seats actually tilt forward at the top, very scary
When i rode this... SCREAMED like a 3rd grade schoolgirl!!! ALL the attendants STARED at me... i got off the ride, turned around, and YELLED... "BAD COASTER, BAD COASTER, BAD BAD BAD COASTER!!!" the woman at the main controls LAUGHED her ass off!
LOL at the description: "i don't remember it speeding up towards the end either". That would be the "acceleration due to gravity", as we call it in physics class.
I Got On This Ride Less Than 24 Hours Ago For The 1st Time Since 2007 & It STILL Gets Me Up (ALL The Way Up ) BUT So Too Does Lex Luthor's Drop Of DOOM So For Me PERSONALLY Both Rides ARE Turn-Ups, Just In Different Ways!
My best friend's birthday is next month. We may be going to Six Flags, and I've never been...She is making me ride this.I have no choice, but it looks fun(and terrifying)! :D
Let me tell you how much mind bending is this At first I thought this guy was in the air and a baseball stadium and other things were visible from the height. Then suddenly a man passed by apparently stepping on it. And I was like rattled. Then I quickly guessed it to be like a transparent floor which is at a great height and that guy is sitting on a seat waving his legs. Then suddenly the camera shifted and I started to see homes and land all around it. And I was pretty much confused. Soon, that guy started to move in the air. This made me totally confused as he was already in the air sitting on a bench or is he on jetpack or something. It came out to be a ride and apparently he had a partner beside him too. He drops in fast. Just as he reaches the bottom. I again tried to focus on the beneath height. It seems now it's like a paint of map. As i look in comments one of them tells me its just ground. And I look again and yeah!! it's fuckin' ground and the baseball stadium was just a chewed gum on the floor. And I was completely in awe. Couldn't believe the no. of times I was fooled by this video.
I went once with a friend who had never ridden a drop ride. She didn’t want to ride it alone and begged me to go on with her. We got to the front. She got the last seat. I left the line and watched. I could see the death stare she was giving me and she was at the top.
I went on this and the girl next me who was am adult started screaming and cursing at her friend because she didn't go on with her xD... The ride operator was like "Ma'am we aren't even halfway up" that was the funniest thing xD
Last time I got on this, we got to the top and then it tilted and got stuck. We were just sitting there tilted for like 10 minutes. It felt like forever. Never got on it again. Crazy day.
I rode this today and it was amazing. The thing that the camera does not pickup on is that the seats tip forward during the ride so you are literally facing the ground. so scary
Rider: "THIS IS HIGH ENOUGH"
Acrophobia: *speeds up* "Gurl u thought"
Sarah H. *bitch u thought
Only a 200 foot drop I love it
I remember the first time I went on this ride I didn't know that the seats were supposed to tilt forward I thought that it was a mechanical failure and that I was gonna fall to my death

@@seoulessangel That was almost what happened to me riding Green Lantern. Thankfully I didn't lose my glasses and they stayed on.

Planeteers in the power room
Ours said we’d be dropping on the count of 3. The ride operator got to “3” and we braced ourselves for the drop, but didn’t drop however. This caught us riders off guard because we actually ended up dropping on “4” 😑😆 love this ride
Things the ride operator said during my visit

Isabella Simera Its, of course, Sunday now, but I hope you liked the park.
Nothing compared to drop of doom
What I thought that was an old baseball field a couple miles away... it was a piece of gum on the sidewalk.
Why would six flags be on s baseball field
Stewart Mitchell DAmn
"somebody hold my hand" lmao
The woman sang "tick-tock, stop the clock, tick-tock your about to drop.... GOODBYE."
i lost my chill 😵
Literally everyone else on the ride: “I’m scared let me off!!”
The camera man: “And it goes faster the hell?”
NOPE: The Ride
"thank god my phone did not fall" ME AF
As I was in line I saw 3 phones fly up in the air as they were going down.
And when I went on the operator was like “tik tok tik tok, the clock is never going to stop. Then it dropped and my glasses flew off my face, and we found it in one of the near by bushes😂
Hey you looking through the comments, have a nice day
:)
kayla smith-dootson you to!
You too!
I love how they shit talk you when you're at the top waiting for the fall 😂
This ride was made by a serial killer. Standing up. Tilted forward. The operator telling you their life is in their hands. Jesus.
The beginning is amazing - it looks like he's way up, but the guy walks by and he's actually pointing his camera on the concrete!
I went on this ride and the lady said “I hope you told your mother you loved her today.” And then she waited for two minutes and then dropped us.
when i was on the ride the man said every body say oh yea and we said oh hell no
the drop is always so sudden and that's what makes it so magical :')
Two words: HELL NO!
mascottie
hey its better than the goliath
wait...nevermind
theanimatedgirl@@#$%# when it comes to drops it is
Two words HELL Yeah
It's only a 200 foot drop

Took my son in late afternoon when the sky was changing to look at the park and talk about people. We always look first for the big Ben clock. Get a treat before going home or GameStop. We hold on and looked at each other first. Get the fear out of the vision. Love the full experience with someone.

The ground in the beginning looks like the ground from an airplane. I'm like wow who wouldn't be scared on a ride that goes to the height of an airplane?

Oh shit. My parents are taking me to six flags over GA for my birthday and they want me to go on this one fuck.
It's fun. It'll be over b4 u know it. It's the anticipation that can be unnerving while you're up there. Other than that...no problem.
MrCramsmith Lol. Thanks for the reassuring comment 👌
I'm so sccrrrd
Morgan Smrekar I was terrified but one second after we dropped, I was okay. it lasts a few seconds, but its worth it. you get a warm feeling in your stomach
I rode this ride at age 11 and I was terrified but in 2015 I rode it again and loved it. It now cranks top five on my favorite rides.
Great ride. Last time I rode, the operator was singing (to the tune of the Battle Hymn of the Republic) "The people on Acrophobia, go down...go down....the people on Acrophobia go down, go...DOOOOOWNNNN..."

oh my after riding lex luther in california this ride feels like absolutely nothing

jongdae! and yeah I thought it was really scary but it was fun :)
This video does not do justice to how terrifying this ride is.
It sucks it only goes down once and then you have to wait 30 minutes in line :/
I remember going up and i was freaking out and my sister was like "look at the view" And I look up for like 10 seconds and then it drops and then all I remember was dropping for 2 seconds then passing out lol
U heard DAT girl she said somebody hold my hand🤣😂
It's so much fun hearing the ppl react at the end.
I've been on that before and when you get to the top it looks much higher and the drop seems to take a lot longer. Also, the seats are pretty uncomfortable
I rode this ride only once. Never again. I thought the video would be better than the reality. But I'm having an anxiety attack just watching this. 😨😰😱
The first time I went on this ride they sand the song were it goes “na na na na na na na na hey aye aye goodbye” and dropped us HAHAH
I love the drop towers that are so intense that you can't even breathe afterwards
"you have no control over when youre gonna fall, but i do. you dont know when youre gonna fall, but i do."
lol i love that attendant. 1:52
“This is high enough this is high enough”Lil bro holding back tears.
Just here to mentally prepare myself....
When I go with my classmates.....
I HAVE A FEAR OF HEIGHTS
Acrophobia the only ride in the world where you go on it and come off with your Acrophobia cured and those who didn't have it, now you do
LOL at 1:46 "oh my god look at the bee what the hell?!" LMFAO cracks me up every time xD
The video does this ride no justice. It was SO FREAKING HIGH!
“UH UH THIS IS HIGH ENOUGH RIGHT HERE”
I would’ve been crying on that ride
Imagine your at the peak and your seat loosens. Then your hanging like a parkour dude for your life.
Dude I was there and the operator sang “acrophobia is falling down falling down” like a full song it was terrible
That shit was scary af!
This ride was so awesome I went on it 3 times. But the scariest part is that as your up in the air the seats TILT forward so you feel like your slipping
The operator, since it was during Christmas time, he sang a Christmas tune and at the end he sang, "But what goes up..must come...DOWN!" And dropped us
I hate when the attendants be like “oh no technical difficulties “ then they wait for a long time, then drop it
I went there today and acrophobia was my first ride for my first time goin to SFOG and the lady sang nananana nananana hey hey hey good and when she said bye we went down and i was freaking shaking and freaking out at the end but it was cool
Them some nice shoes, also, did anyone hear the person at the beginning that said “can somebody hold my hand 😢”
I rode this once and I hate it how they taunt and tease you when you get to the top and worst of all you can't see it in the video but your seats actually tilt forward at the top, very scary
acrophobia will always have a special place in my heart.
THIS IS THE SCARIEST RIDE AT SFOG
I remember before you drop, there was a guy that said "down down you go"
In the beginning i thought you were already high in the sky. Then I saw a foot and realized you were on the ground
"Somebody hold my hand." That girl had me rolling.
1:51 woman on the speaker says "your lives are in my hands" XD
This is about the only ride I can ride anymore, there's no thrill anymore with anything but this and Goliath
He’s brave for bringing his phone
my operator said "im gonna drop you reallllly fast" and there was NO wait to get on
When i rode this...
Who else thought he was very high in the sky in the beginning

I'm going June the 4th for the first time
WOOO!
+Maggie Francis how was it?!
i ended up not going. :(Captain strawberry
My mom said when she rode this, it felt like she was about to fall to her death.
LOL at the description: "i don't remember it speeding up towards the end either". That would be the "acceleration due to gravity", as we call it in physics class.
It's actually really fun once you ride it. You just have to close your eyes during the drop and it'll actually be fun!
Who got butterflies watching this??
I went on it today and the ride operator said “ring around the Rosie’s pockets full of posies ashes ahes we all fall down”
These drop tower rides make me feel like im electrocuted
I Got On This Ride Less Than 24 Hours Ago For The 1st Time Since 2007 & It STILL Gets Me Up (ALL The Way Up ) BUT So Too Does Lex Luthor's Drop Of DOOM So For Me PERSONALLY Both Rides ARE Turn-Ups, Just In Different Ways!
Caps lock!!! FUCK YEAH!!!
Its not as bad as it seems. best quote of 2015. Dropping from 200 foot or something without knowing is bad.
My best friend's birthday is next month. We may be going to Six Flags, and I've never been...She is making me ride this.I have no choice, but it looks fun(and terrifying)! :D

Bloody hell at the beginning I thought all of the marks on the concrete was actually fields, towns and buildings and he was miles in the air.
Ring-a-round the rosie,
A pocket full of posies,
Ashes! Ashes!
We all fall down.
They sing that every time I get on!!
I was one of the first public riders on this back in 2001, hard to believe that the ride is 18 years old.
I went once with a friend who had never ridden a drop ride. She didn’t want to ride it alone and begged me to go on with her. We got to the front. She got the last seat. I left the line and watched. I could see the death stare she was giving me and she was at the top.
I thought the floor was the earth and also it's round
the girl on the mic doe 😭😭 she gon scare de crap out meh 💀💀
i appreciate the sound warning that was thoughtful
I went on this and the girl next me who was am adult started screaming and cursing at her friend because she didn't go on with her xD... The ride operator was like "Ma'am we aren't even halfway up" that was the funniest thing xD
Last time I got on this, we got to the top and then it tilted and got stuck. We were just sitting there tilted for like 10 minutes. It felt like forever. Never got on it again. Crazy day.
if there was a guarantee that these rides didn’t break, i’d be on em everyday
I rode this today and it was amazing. The thing that the camera does not pickup on is that the seats tip forward during the ride so you are literally facing the ground. so scary
I thought it was gonna continue going multiple times. I think I would be more scared if it dropped more
