Thats so sweet you made them the journal to fill in the memories of their new family's adventure while in Disney. They will love it. Thanks for sharing with us!
What a truly fabulous gift you have made for your friend and her new family. They will have great fun adding pictures and family stories to this and I am certain it will become a family treasure for always. Well done and thank you so much for sharing your talent and your kindness.❤❤
Thank you so much for sharing this step by step! I really want to try my hand at one! For anyone using hot glue, always keep a large bowl of ice water near by. You can dip your hand in it immediately to stop the burn and remove the glue safely! 🧊📖🎀
I’m so happy I happened upon your channel! I was recently gifted many, many LGBs! Most of which are vintage. I have been itching to get into them, but also scared to death of ruining them. You make this look simple enough I think I can pull it off 😊 lovely choices of matching materials/colors. I’m now hitting that “subscribe button” ❤ Best wishes and blessings to your friends and their sweet little family. You made an incredible keepsake gift to be cherished for many years to come ❤ 🤗
Stunning as always Lisa! I don’t know how you make it all look so effortless as I know how much work goes into these beautiful books. Your friend is very lucky 😊
Oh id love to see their face when they open it! This is lovely and is a beautiful keepsake. My crafting disaster must be a craft knife and hot glue gun incidents. I did losemy balance once and fell into a craft storage container, i came a cracker and had s black bruise right up my arm.
I bought long clips that can hold hair but works for holding papers, including shorter paper and they work well. Also I made a baby book junk journal for a baby shower. It was also a golden book and colourful so I used 3 different colours of binding, orange, yellow and red. My golden book was a Winnie the Pooh. Looked great.
Ok, now I think I understand. Are these to be used as modified personalized scrapbooks? I've been watching art journaling and junk journals and until this video, I was somewhat confused. Lovely project.
I punctured in between my wedding finger and middle with a very pointed pair of tweezers. I did it about a year ago and it’s still not healed properly. I find it opens up after drying between my fingers and I have to take my rings off for a couple of weeks until it heals and then it happens all over again.
The book is cute but being new at this and seeing it listed as a tutorial I noticed you didn’t shoe all your steps. It would have been nice if you went slower and taught what you were doing and shown how and where you put the Pom Pom lace in.
So sorry, it's so hard sometimes because I'm so conscious of time when I'm filming as I don't want to go on for too long. I'm very new to these kind of tutorials and plan to do another soon, so will try and slow down next time xx
It's also the word for the papers inside a journal like this. If you google the meaning in terms of a book/journal, here's the explanation: Signatures are also called sections in bookbinding circles. They are a collection of paper that are stacked and then folded in half to form what looks like a book. These signatures are then bound into a cover to form your book. Signatures can be made up of any type of paper you want and any size you want.
This is adorable. Thanks for the very awesome tutorial.
Thanks for watching 💖

Hi, yes that’s it. They are so fun to use 😊
Any tips for keeping the signatures nice and tight? Mine keep loosening.
I just pull mine nice and tight and tie the wax threads nice and tight too x
🥰🥰
Thanks for watching 😊

Where is the link for the double sided tape? Thank you!
Sorry, it’s sold out at the moment x
What do u mean when u say “signatures”?
Signatures are the little collections of folded papers that are each sew in to the journals.
is that red gaffer tape?
Hiya, it's red double sided tape x
What's the name of the tape you used?
Perma fix tape
Love! Why didn't you just take the fabric and ribbon front to back and then you wouldn't have had to deal with the paper bumps...I loath paper bumps 😁
Thanks. I was thinking one less layer to sew through and I didn't have enough ribbon to go all the way round sadly xx

Is a “signature” a piece of paper or a page? Why do u call them “signatures”? In the US a signature is your name is cursive
