The sad part is how so many people have become so disconnected from the source of our foods. Thank you for showing this. From the agriculture and gardening to the killing of animals. This is the reality of life. And we should appreciate nature and the resources that we use. Instead, many go to the stores or restaurants without realizing the sacrifices that went into our sustenance. Blessings to all of you.

Corrupt government, I won’t argue about but what we did in Afghanistan was bring freedom of oppression to the Afghans. Women could vote and go to school. We built hospitals, schools, and drilled water wells. We did a lot to try and improve Afghanistan but unfortunately due to corruption within, and a resurgence of the Taliban, and our horrible departure, and well you know the rest of the story. I did two tours in AFG and never once did I have an issue with the Afghan people. They were always very hospitable and kind hearted. The problem was the rule of oppression they were under (Shria Law) by the Taliban. I am happy of what we accomplished in AFG, I’m just saddened it did not last.

@@dbcooper030 Bringing “freedom” to a country is just propaganda and the same defense was used for Vietnam and countless other US invasions. Afghanistan didn’t want American “freedom”. The US invaded the country, overthrew its government and then pretty much fought armed civilians for 20 years all because they didn’t want to be occupied. There’s a reason why the Taliban was in power before and after US intervention. Sharia law isn’t the problem, as it’s literally just following the commandments of God as stated in the Qur’an, Qudsi and Hadith, this “Sharia Law” talk is just a buzzword at this point that stems from Islamophobia because all muslims would want Sharia. The problem is that the US is trying to bring “freedom” to places that do not want it nor asked for it.
The same thing happened to the Natives, to Iraqis, to the Vietnamese, to Afghans, to Libyan, to Somalis and so on. You can see how “freedom” helped their countries. There is no freedom in interventionism, it’s just a defense for imperialism and unjust wars. However, thank you for your service.

@@ChiefKhem Appreciate the comment, but I’ll agree to disagree. Not sure how much time you have spent in the military or overseas but 22yrs for me has been an eye opener and the best experience of my life. I’ve see a lot, and done a lot in that time, but probably the greatest moments were making friends from other nations, especially those that we have come to help. I don’t want to think that I wasted 22yrs of my life (still living overseas since I retired) for nothing, and especially those who gave their lives. I’m not Muslim, but I know the Qur’an well enough through the Muslim country I live in and the family that lives next to me. I know that Sharia Law is not just following the commandments of God (maybe that’s the root meaning of the word) but the literal action taken by those who enforce Sharia Law is not what Allah would want a good Muslim to do or be, and any decent Muslim would tell you the same. Anyhow, appreciate your opinion and Merry Christmas to you as well. God bless👍

We had our cultural differences of course but so did most of my coworkers where I worked. In our kitchen it was me (Sicilian and Native American; born in the US), Mustafa (born and raised in Afghanistan), Ricardo (born and raised half of his life in Mexico, the other half raised in CA only), Saif (born and raised in Saudi Arabia), Abdula (also from Saudi) JR (born and raised in Brazil) Basin and his brother Bahar (born and raised in Egypt) and this guy we all called Uncle cause he was like 35-40 years older than all of us (born and raised in Syria) and it was one of the most fun jobs I’ve ever had. Thank you for shedding light on our middle eastern brothers and sisters and showing that they’re not what the media has painted them out to be.

Which has the largest arabic/middle eastern population in the world aside from arabic and middle eastern countries obviously. And when you're in Dearborn it's crazy it's like you're in another country. All the store signs and everything is in arabic, everyone walking down the street is of middle eastern ethnicity. Then inside Detroit we have Mexican town, which the name speaks for itself. We have greek town, and even a small little Italy. Then in harper woods it's all jewish. People don't realize it but this part of Michigan is super diverse, I'm born and raised here in Detroit but my family is from Italy. My neighborhood back in the day before I was born use to be all Italians, now most Italians live in little Italy a few blocks from me. Its so cool how diverse it is bcuz every few minutes its like you're in another country lol, I mean little, everything from them speaking their native languages, to the real homemade authentic restaurants, to the signs for everything being in the languages, the people, way of living. Man I gotta give it to you! Hats off my friend for having such a beautiful soul and endless amounts of wonderlust! I love the positive messages you are courageous enough to show a different side of the world that few even know exist! You do a great job of showing folks such as myself and other people are lucky enough to be able to experience other parts of the world that is more beautiful and filled with other loving and caring humans that we are brainwashed into believing that it's actually the complete opposite and peace such as this in that part of the world absolutely does not exist and if it does it's a front or fake..... It's because of folks such as yourself that show different cultures all over the world are not as bad as we think therefore showing us that you should never believe anything your told and you need to see things for yourself to know the real truth! Afghanistan is such a wonderfully beautiful country filled with friendly humans who would give you the shirt off their back even though you don't know them from a hole in the ground all while having a language barrier that makes it all the more real! Thank you good sir for showing normal folks that there is good in this world even in places we are told is filled with nothing but filth and absolute monsters of humans! People such as yourself who go out of their way and travel to worlds beyond sometimes in disregard for their own safety to show people that no matter what were fed to believe about people who differ from us in many ways that we may not understand that come from all other walks of life are more evil than they are good, your content shows us that you really cannot believe everything were told about said people. While there may be few who choose evil there are far more people all over that are the complete opposite! It shows that most of the time good trumps over evil 90% of the time and we shouldn't just believe what we're told, it sends the message of free thinking and the right to form your own opinions with fact rather than the narrative forced upon society! Just because someone is of a different culture and doesn't hold the same opinions and values doesn't mean they are an enemy! You have to see things for yourself and learn that you make the ultimate decisions of how you think and feel! I'm glad you and others alike exist in this frightening world to show there is light even in the darkest of places! That being said thank you for being you my friend and never change who you are deep within and what you know to be your own truth seen with your own eyes!

Your videos make me laugh so hard. I love these videos. As someone who has travelled in the Middle East, is Canadian but never went to Afghanistan because I am female, I always wanted to see it. I so appreciate how you spend time with people and do your best to show the truth of the country. Also, appreciate how you say whatever you think. These are the best videos.

I have been watching your videos for two months now and I think that is so cool that you respect the culture and appreciate the middle east. Even though I am American I would hope to live in a world one day where I could travel there and my country would leave places like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Iran etc alone so I could enjoy these countries culture, food, and peoples company.

I do think people in the modern day often forgets we do have to take lives to eat and survive, everythings too disconnected, and its so very importent to thank the lives given to you by the other animals so you can eat everyday, and it is importent to show scenes like butchering animal.
