Well done Paul. You’re such an inspiration overcoming your demons and putting your energy and lived experiences to a charity to help others to conquer addiction. I hope you go from strength to strength as addiction is getting ignored by the government who should be doing more to alleviate the problem. You should be proud. Well done Sean as always on another great podcast highlighting these inspirational people xx

These interviews and stories are so important , if we don’t talk a it them how can we possibly reach the young er generation . Mad respect to Paul for getting help and getting better. I can’t say more strongly how I admire the honesty , it’s not easy, who wants to be thought of as someone who steals from family and stuff but it does happen and I think with this kind of honestly hopefully more ppl will look and say well this guys a good guy , he’s changed his life so maybe be a little gentler on ppl who are lifted tot similar , I’m nit saying just accept it but be aware that sometimes it really is the addiction and not the person .
With ppl like Sean and Paul and Kris McPherson and others I have hope that a lot of kids can be kept away from these same mistakes as these guys are being open and honesty

Good inspirational story mate. There's an evident 'bravado' culture in the west of Scotland (i'm same age as you and brought up in EK) which you realise gets you nowhere in life. I was an absolute ned taking buckets and drinking almost every day and then when that calmed down the gambling hit me badly before i sought help. Mid 30s now and my life has went by in a flash. I now realise the ones that stuck in at school were the smart ones. Thought i knew best 😂
Take care and never look back even when times are tough and cravings intensify (thats the real test).
    Cheers
    All the best.

Amazing story of hope and recovery. I wish you all the best with your charity in creating safe spaces to encourage and inspire others on their journey.
Again, loving the trauma informed knowledge but especially appreciate that you can talk about this in a down to earth way that keeps it real.
    Loving your work.

Thanks very much Anthony. Really appreciate that. It takes alot for people to get vulnerable and be truthful but hopefully people get inspired by this. Thanks 🙏
