We are so lucky that we are living in the Magnus era ❤️😘...Some decades after history will remember him... but we witnessed Magnus Carlsen ... A complete different feeling 😊❤
I'm amazed how Magnus has perfected the 'casual pose and smile' for taking photos with strangers - it looks so effortless as if his profession is to be a model, not the best chess player to ever live.
People don't have self-respect. What satisfaction do you get from begging for a picture with a person who doesn't pay 5 seconds of attention to your existence?
I am rooting for America team, but I recognize professionalism when I see it and Magnus has always been the greatest player in chess and is in my opinion the GOAT, and a true champion, and do not put anyone else at his level or compare another player to him,the chess gods have blessed us with someone who is a down to earth person 💯💯💯,keep pushing Magnus 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
@@goncalofernandes8764 Yeah well, he should try harder, because most of the time he was dismissing people as if they were flies. And before you tell me that it's not his job to sign autographs, may I remind you that these top players get sponsors precisely because of fans, so yeah he has some responsibility toward them. This is no different from any other sport or field in which fame secures the investment: plenty of other world famous people who have to deal with way, way, way more people and they sign and meet them graciously - let us stop pretending it's a big deal, especially when it was just a few people waiting outside. The other players had no issue signing and greeting fans, even when they lost. The whole Indian team, for instance, was incredibly nice about the whole thing.
@@kencur9690 If he's willing to play that game, that's up to him, but it is sick. Not only from his part, but the fans too. As someone else commented: People don't have self-respect. What satisfaction do you get from begging for a picture with a person who doesn't pay 5 seconds of attention to your existence? His job is also being a professional chess player, so his opponent shouldn't be chasing him, and definitely shouldn't be discussing the game while Mr. Carlsen is signing chess boards and taking selfies. Everything about this scene is deplorable.
@@goncalofernandes8764 It is sick to sign an autograph? Are you kidding? People look up to others in all fields, it's not something new. I hope I misunderstood you. You are right about the asymmetry of course, and I would agree with you if you were referring to worship and extreme idolization. But getting an autograph is not the same extent, and it can be quite nice (and for young people even motivating) to own an autographed item (like a book, a guitar, or, in this case, a chess board). I mean, we can use the same logic and ask why you follow a guy playing a board game and pushing some wooden pieces when same said guy does not even care about your existence. You just enjoy it - you get entertained by his game, and granted, it may perhaps help your own improvement, but people can find enjoyment in displaying or owning items signed by the same person they follow. Yes, of course, there is a bit of a strange arrangement. It would be far nicer to see some interaction with the fans (which again, were not that numerous) instead of a careless signature while analysis is taking place at the same. It does look odd. Perhaps it is worth mentioning that other players did no such thing - the Indian team, which turned out to be the winners, paid full attention to their fans. Unfortunately, some fans can be quite rude.
@@goncalofernandes8764 I replied but it got deleted. It was a long one, so I'm just summing it up. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting an autograph from a person others look up to. It is common in all sports and fields. I hope we agree on that. I mean, using the same logic, I can say that you don't have any self-respect for wasting your time watching a person play a board game with wooden pieces, or watching him signing autographs on RUclips when that same person does not pay 5 seconds of attention to your existence... Some fans are quite rude, and I also agree that it is quite off for someone to be signing autographs and also discussing the game. As I said, some players were more considerate of their fans, like the Indian team as I mentioned, which funnily enough also turned out to be the winners!
Yes, a bit sad. Rude behaviour all round, to be honest, including from Carlsen and some other chess players, though here he is being quite nice about it. I cannot stand the photo thing - it takes too much time and ruins the flow. I think it also annoys the players more than a simple autograph. A thank you is definitely in order, and thankfully some still did express their gratitude.

Simply,the GOAT!

No, the best is Kasparov!

Men of culture also in chess.. wtg!!
Must not have seen The Matrix and learned not to get distracted by the pretty lady. 💃
Magnus is the Elvis of chess. A friendly superstar. Lovely to see!❤
I love seeing this! Magnus analyzing the game while signing autographs
7:58 That's the smartest person I've seen, she knows that it is all going to be on Chessbase India, even if her friend doesn't take the picture.

Rule #1: a person engaged in a conversation is not available for selfies.
yeah, I hate when that happens 🙄
Gukesh just won against Wei Yi 1-0 👍
It was an incredible insane endgame win for Gukesh, I think he had arround 99% accuracy!
Fans' attention is such a torture. I saw myself snapping at least 5 times during the video if I was at his place.

Not even a second-- to their existence.. Nice retrospect. way to be
The whole scene after the game ends is ridiculous from everyone's part.
I am an average chess player but I cannot get enough of these Magnus matches.
